Service meter fitted in respect of my service connection has stopped working.

I have visited the eb office in my area and complained to the concerned staff on 02/06/2017.

Upon hearing my complaint, i was asked to pay rs 4651 as consumption charge and rs 1422 towards replacement of meter.

I have paid a total amount of rs 6073 through online payment. Please find below the payment details.

Last five days ago current failure at my home, then i ask to lineman after next day he was solve the fuse problem at post. But, today also i facing a same fuse problem at post. I also call to my area line man, but he was not responding properly. What is the quality of service represent the tneb workers to our people? (phone call not responding, after finish the work asking money and worst quality of service really shame on our tneb lineman and head officers). Please guide me to clear the problem

Sir, i am living in avvaiyar street, nilamangai nagar, adambakkam, chennai-88 for the past several years. For the past several years, it has become a routine during summer, that the voltage of power supply at night especially after 9 p. M. Is very low. The voltage supplied is not even enough for ordinary fans to run in full speed. Power cuts are there every night for several times during night, during summer, everybody knows that the heat in chennai is scorching and it is very sultry at night. Due to the poor voltage, we are not able to run air conditioners and therefore nobody is able to sleep at night. Employees, children, aged people and those with ill health suffer due to sleepless nights daily and suffer from intolerable mental agony and are prone to health problems. This is happening every year. As the number of flats in this locality are increasing day by day, the transformer has to be replaced in order to supply electricity of normal voltage between 220-240 volts. Even after complaining several times the authorities are not bothered to install new transformer to cater to the needs of the residents in this area. This is clearly a deficiency of service. I want immediate action taken against those who are not bothered to correct this problem. I on behalf of all the residents in this area want the power supply to be given with optimum voltage daily without fail and the low voltage to be corrected immediately.

We housing at avadi vasantham nagar kothari garden street are suffering from low voltage from the start of Summer we couldn't sleep at night. We complained about it to the EB personal but haven't​ solved it till now. Even there is no enough power to run a celing fan at night. We are all working personals who is not getting enough sleep at night due to this problem. Please look into it as soon as possible.

Sir, Our house SC No.[protected]. We made online complaint regarding for four times. But without solving the problem the complaint is found as "Completed". We are suffering lot without sleep. Pl. do the needful and solve the problem. As we are senior citizens we need sleep. Pl. take necessary steps to solve the problem early and help us. This problem is not only in my house also in houses in our area.

Respected Sir, I am living in No:13, Balasubramaniam Salai, Sivalingapuram KK Nagar, Chennai-78. We lived just behind Kasi Theatre bridge earlier and since our house got completely damaged in flood we moved to KK Nagar last January end to the above address. We started our life afresh and bought right from Gas stove. We do not have any electrical equipments other than the basic needs. We could not even take our certificates from the house. Complete house got submerged in water and we were totally stranded .

At the starting we used to get bill around 300 and 3 months later we got between 500-600. We are getting this amount for last 14 months and all on a sudden last month we got bill around 4500. We do not know the reason for this. EB person did not come to take reading on that month also. We faced the same issue last May 2016 and they finally concluded that first floor line is passing through our meter. We had complained to KK Nagar EB board from May 2nd. Till now there is no resolution to this.

We are 3 in number in our family, me and my old parents. I go to work by 6:30 a.m and return late in the night. My old parents use the electricity in an optimum manner by using fan and light in one room to minimise the current usage. Inspite of reduced usage and saving, we are unnecessarily charged with this huge amount and we are not in a position to pay the amount. Its hard for anyone to pay other's amount. Kindly understand and analyse the complete issue and waiver the extra charges.

Kindly look into the issue and please correct our bill for us to pay the EB amount. Please let me know if i can meet you so that i will meet the concerned officer and show with necessary proofs.

I am living in vallioor, tirunelveli. Past two weeks we are suffered by power cut. I don't know if they off 10 minutes power means how much amount of watts they can be get. I have 6 month old baby. She suffered a lot during day time and night time. Like this all babies, aged people and patients also have been suffered. If they want to off the power means they do it on day time. Why they are cut the power on night time. Recently passed two days they cut the power night time for two times. If they cut the power on summer time means then what advantages we get by current. No use. So please kindly take action on it.

We are facing power cut due to damage in Electrical supply cable in our street, which occurs frequently once every week. As EB authorities knowing the problem due to over load and need to install one transformer to over come this long pending issue.

We are facing frequent power cut during night time.. And it is unbearable, kindly look into this matter. It is causing serious problems to office going people, house wifes, school going student.. I tried calling electricity department to complaint about electricity failure in Janakpuri 1st street, Velachery, but the calls were neglected and the electricity was down for rest of the night.
This shows how irresponsible the electricity department is. I called about 7-8 times but both the mobile and the land line were not reachable.
This is utter harassment to common people.
Hope to get some strict action on the concerned engineers and the staff

Today evening without any prier information tneb personnala removed a tree in front of my home which is 20 feet heigh t and 8 year old tree from base. Before cutting they not even informed us. Tneb has any rules to cut tree from base if its small branch touched line???.. Before going ngt. I would like clarification from tneb.

Dear sir/ Madam, I am living at pattanoor villlage vanoor taluk villupuram district. We have regular power cut in our area since it is upcoming area and end of Thiruchitrampalam SS. As mentioned it's an outer and border for pondicherry and Tamilnadu area as well near JIPMER Hospital number of people specially pactiants, kids and staff (Ladies) traveling through this area it very deficult for the people so kindly tack a nassary action on this and help us.

This is regarding street light complaint.
In our area street lights are not working properly. Responsible person did not care about that. Because of this light problem, lot of working womens are having fear to reach their home at night time. Children also have fear to come out by evening itself. So kindly take action to work street lights properly.

We are having big tree in front of our house. Nearly 20 feet long. Some branches of tree touched eb line. While cutting tree by eb department they totally cut the tree from the base without intimating people inside house. When we asked the person who cut, he was not replied any answer properly. Address

On 24.05.17 power went off by 11.15 pm at shenoy nagar area, chennai. We have been making calls to the toll free number 1912 every one hour or so. Each time they answered power will be resumed by 1/2 hour or 1 hour and we were waiting eagerly. Even at 6 in the morning power was not resumed. I have never seen such irresponsible staffs. They were responding so lightly without understanding the situation and made us wait whole night with their false promises. When i called at 6 in the morning, i got response as they don't know what is the problem and they would escalate it to some higher depts. Even after calling for the whole night they couldn't do anything. As a consumer i need response for my complaint as we have been awake whole night with false belief.

We are from pycrofts road first street. Today power has gone 6hours before but till it is not resumed. I complaint every half an hour to 1912 but no use. They don't know current info. Every time every executive told we are registered your complaint and we can forward to concern dept. But never know about current situation. We need clear status and also ae contact number.

I am residing in 1st street, Sairam Aveneue, Valasaravakkam, Chennai -600087.
Several times I have raised this below complaint in 1912 and no response:
For more than 3 weeks in my area only one phase is working out of 3 phases. In one of my neighbours residence, washing machine got repaired due to this issue. Also we are facing voltage fluctuation often due to this issue. Please address this issue As soon as possible before it is getting worser.
