Hi sir/ madam,

I am resident of newperungalathur, after the analog meter was replaced with the digital meter, we see a constant increase in our home meter reading every 2 month. We suspect a faulty meter could be the reason for our abnormal current consumption and very high meter readings.
My tneb service no is [protected]. I am requesting tneb authority to attend this complaint with highest priority.

    My Name is Ammaniammal. My Service No is [protected].
    I made a payment of Rs 6309/- on 4th Oct 2016 under the merchant reference number [protected] in the TNEB Online Payment Portal.
    But the payment receipt was not generated. The money was debited in my Bank Account. I tried TNEB online complaint under the Complaint Id No [protected] but there was no response. I tried to call the TNEB payment complaints phone number but no body is answering. Please confirm the payment status or atleast send me an email stating that the payment under the above said Merchant reference no was not successful so that i can get a refund from the bank. Thank you.

      Above mentioned area always happen unwanted power shutdown. We informed many times to tneb peoples like ae and make a complain through 1912 which is tneb customer care number. But again again keep on power cut happen. Please take immediate action on this.

        This complaint is regarding a govt employee asking diwali bonus to a consumer.Today morning[protected] by 10:45 am place Coimbatore, singanallur.A person from EB board came to me asking for diwali bonus.which I found ridiculous how can a consumer give bonus to a govt employee.Won't it be a bribe ?? I can give further information on this if action is initiated .

          The electric lines in the First cross Street, Angel Garden, Karunya Nagar, Coimbatore is sagging as the main post giving supply into the first cross street is in the damaged condition. Hence the electric post in the 1st main road towards 1st cross street, Angel Garden, Karunya Nagar to be replaced immediately to avoid the great risk involved. Now the electric lines are touching the vehicles such as vans, lorries, tempo etc.

          I am living in 3rd street, shanmuga Nagar, pozhichalur, chennai-74.my neighbors tree touching power cables, and they don't bother about our lives and belongings.everyone knows, what happens if power cable touch one another.please cut the tree before something could happen worse.

            Every month for my home, they charging excess EB billing, This month suddenly they raised upto 3734 rs, but our usage bill as per tn govt plan it is nearly 600 rs max, but they are adding 23100-CC CHARGE as 3100 extra, why they are collecting this much money extra in this month, last time also i faid 1000 rs extra in this same category, why they are collecting this much money instaed of collecting as per govt plan,

              Sir,
              I am a resident of plot no 615b, w block, 5th street d sector, anna nagar wext extn, chennai.101. My complaint to restore connection to my residence, remains unattended for more than a month. They came and digged the road and left, leaving the live wires as it is without closing the trench, where hundreds of sboa school children are playing daily. Please advise your people to rectify the fault to my residence and close the live wires near the school.

                Respected Sir,

                I am residing in Bajanai Koil 3rd Street, Choolaimedu, Chennai – 94. The problem at our place is we are getting frequent current failures in one of the three lines and the houses which has single phase are experiencing more difficulty during night hours. The main problem is we are not able to contact the Power House EB office in the night and early morning hours through the phone no. provided for complaints i.e. 24838750. The line is ringing and no one picks the phone. When I went there both in the night time and early morning, the person there is sleeping or sitting ideally. When I keyed in the phone no. right before them it rings in my mobile but for my surprise there is no sound in the phone before them. They are keeping the sound of the phone at minimum tone level. When asked them they are saying that the phone is not working and what we can do for that, but the same phone is ringing and being picked in the day hours.

                Because of this we are regularly having problems at the night time sitting without power the whole night, which is at least one or two days in a week. Please think over the school going children, babies, and old people during this time with lot of mosquitoes in this area. In the day time and morning hours we can reach the AE through his mobile, but I cannot disturb him in the late nights because of this useless night duty staffs.

                If by accident any major problems arise at night I do not know how we can contact the EB office during night times.

                When we contacted the officers they are telling that the phone attending persons are working in a contract basis, and they cannot order them.

                Since electricity station is high alert area kindly please pass orders for them to pick the phones round the clock and also make arrangements to stop the frequent power failure in that one line and help the children and old persons living in our street.

                Note: For the last week the power failure is occurring on a daily basis both at night and day time, which the concerned persons can check with the complaint book at the EB office. Today also the power went off at 4:00 a.m., which after given complaint was not rectified till keying in the letter 10:40 a.m.

                Kindly proceed this to the concerned persons for their early action.

                We have observed abnormal reading in the new meter for the past 8 months...

                Previously we were paying around Rs.300 to Max Rs.400 but now it is Rs.1500 to 1800..

                We Don have heater, washing machine, fridge, AC, etc, ... We have one fan and 2 lights only...

                Please do the needful...

                  The EB meter reading staff do not come to our premises to take readings. We have regular 24 hr duty Security and there is no record anywhere to show the TNEB staff have come to take the Reading.
                  Last Saturday 15th of October at about 1 pm.two gentlemen claiming to be staff of TNEB came to my Apartment showing a slip of paper saying they have come to disconnect the Electricity connection since I have not paid the charges.When I demanded Identity Card they did'nt have any. When I asked them to show me the official order for disconnecting the line without giving any notice or coming to take readings. My EB card will show that there are no readings recorded and yet they ask us to pay up or will disconnect. On 15th I had to pay up Rs.9634/ within one hour (on saturdays office closes by 2.30pm). IT IS INTERESTING TO NOTE THAT THEY PARTICULARLY MAKE IT A POINT TO COME ONLY ON A SATURDAY AND THEN ONLY AFTER 1 PM .I CALL FOR AN INVESTIGATION INTO THE MATTER.

                    Sir/madam,
                    We five families live in a residential complex comprising two blocks in an apartment, "srinivasa aparments, a & b block, astalakshmi
                    Avenue, parthasarathy nagar, manappakkam main road,
                    Chennai-116.". At various floors and blocks. However, few of the owners of the apartment let out equal share of flats to an agent who runs a paying guest accommodation not having permit from government (No registration number, he has violated almost all rules of an apartment). The connections are under residential tariff. He has placed nearly 20 airconditioners in those apartments and due to the over rated consumption we all suffer a power failure for nearly last three years. Enough care and advice was given to him to change connection to commercial and necessary changes to the electrical wiring (Gauges) for the over rated consumption. No action was initiated by him. This may cause a electrical fire accident and huge loss to the government as residential connection being used for commercial purpose. You may please take against this person at the earliest to save all o[censored]s and the revenue to the government, a sever penalty must be charged retrorespectively.

                      Since last 1 year we are facing power fluctuation and power cut issue in Muthiah street Teynampet

                      There has been no action taken on this every night there is power cut for 2 to 3 hrs even when there is no rain thunder or lightning

                      There is lot of voltage issue too

                      Fan speed is too low

                      Ac gets disconnected

                      I am a kidney patient and has to suffer a lot becoz of this

                      My EB bill paid on 03/10/2106 for Rs 3826 through net banking was debited twice from my account. The same is not reflecting in your portal. My bank (union bank of india) confirmed payment made to EB. However I could only see the 1 entry available in EB Portal and has no track of the other entry. How am I suppose to get a refund.

                        My residence is at 101 triplicane high road, buchi babu street, chennai 600005.

                        The electricity supply suffers huge voltage fluctuation - it fluctuates from 150 volts to 250 volts. Such voltage fluctuation has resulted in all equipments getting affected. Air conditioner, motors, tv are all affected and we are forced to incur huge expenses for repair f all these equipments.

                        Please advise the concerned to imm dialled att nd to this problem.

                          The low power supply problem exists in Lakshmi Nagar 2nd street Velachery chennai-42 for a long time. When we checked with the officials in Velachery EB Office, they advised us to give a complaint letter with the residents' signatures. After submission of the letter, the officials escaping by saying that the matter to be fixed by the government. Before letter submission, the officials informed us that they will provide proper power supply after doing some looping work from a nearby transformer. Kindly do the needful to advise the officials concerned to provide proper power supply in Lakshmi Nagar 2nd street, Velachery, chennai-42.

                            Recently we started to build home in charode and requested connection from moolachel EB office. Person who came to put post for our home asked 1000 rs. And we were forced to give. I don't know why these people are like this. Government responsibility is to provide connection. But, some people who works for our government is taking bribe to do their job. Please take stringent action to stop these kind of activities.

                              I stay at amman koil st broadway ch-1. Since 1 week there is a big prob of power cut for 4 to 5 hours and after that there is very low voltage. We are facing probs as food items gets spoiled and children cannot study. Customer care is very slow in actions. Please resolve this issue immediately. I feel ashamed that we r facing this prob in a metro city.

                                I am a chartered accountant I am from old no.39, Muhamad hussian street, rayapettah, chennai. In muhamad hussian street they are frequently power off, They off the power 2 or 3 days in a week during night time.

                                If we call and complaint with phone they are not properly responding.They are telling you directly come and complaint with engineer.I can only attend the phone.

                                school going children and parents suffering lot of things.

                                We lose our sleeps in night time.

                                It is affecting the children studies.

                                I request you sir, to take action with ice house eb station to stop the frequent power off in old no.39 muhamad hussian street

                                  We are residing in annai sathya nagar 4th street, vyasarpadi - 39. We are facing power cut problem every day. We have been complaint against the same and also eb box has problem. It has cable fault. So power cut happening frequently. We have informed to ae. He hasn't been taking action right now and also eb box is open in any time. Kids are playing near eb box. So i kindly request to you please take immediate action against this problems.

                                    I'm staying here more than 20 years, we always facing power cut and half voltage problem in my area, even though we complaint to them that are not taking action on it,
                                    And also we are facing power cut problems on islamic festivel times like ramzan and bakrith, not only some time, every year on festival day ve are celebrating...

                                    Hi, I have paid my current bill through online in advanced for the month of September. However the TNEB officials disconnected the power to my home eventhough I paid the bill. They have did this during the festival time. This is not acceptable. The strict action needs to be taken against them. They need to restore ASAP with compensation. Please do the needful. I'm attaching my proof.

                                      I am k. r. lenin residing at thiruvadisoolam village, chengalpattu taluk, kanchipuram district, tamilnadu, coming under sembakkam eb office. service no.[protected].

                                      A few months back eb dept. replaced the old eb meter with an electronic one. now the display is not working. to replace the meter they demand rs. 2300/= at sembakkam office.

                                      My questions:

                                      The meter is theirs. if it doesn't work or malfunctions it is their responsibility to rectify/replace it, and shouldn't charge the customer for the service.

                                      Also they don't maintain proper and regular voltage. whenever there is high voltage (even 300v at times) our stabilizer cuts off power supply for domestic use or the circuit breaker tuns 'off'. thereby our domestic appliances are protected. but we have no control over the power supply going to the meter. so once again if the meter has been affected by high/low voltage or voltage fluctuation it is no fault of ours.
