Sir/madam,
Reg: voltage fluctuation in our area.

We are resident in the above address. Eb service nos.[protected], 872 & 1402.

We are facing voltage fluctuations (Low voltage) in our area. It continues every-night from 8pm to 2am for past 2 months and also last year (2015) same month had same problem, made compliant serval time to you no action taken still. It is affecting our normal lives and we are getting heavily fatigue during everyday work. Even children's are not able to sleep whole night and becoming sick. Voltage fluctuation is damaging all our electronic equipments like ac, fridge, tv etc. It also increases our eb bill.

We have been complaining the above issues by telephone each and everyday. Still the action is not taken.

We kindly request you to consider all the above facts and take necessary action immediately.

    I am residing at nilamangai nagar, adambakkam. I have a three phase power connection. For the past 1 month, during night especially after 9 pm. The voltage is highly fluctuating. Sometimes it is too low such that even fans work at very low speed and a/c s do not work at all, at other times, it becomes too high that the a/c main repeatedly trips off. This leads to sleepless nights in this peak summer especially to children and old people and office goers who have to take rest at night and go to office early in the morning. The situation is there every year during summer. Nobody in the local electricity board office is bothered to rectify this problem. They don't lift the phone at all or they answer irresponsibly. I request you to kindly take action against the officials involved. Keeping in mind the increasing number of apartments, the electricity board should provide a new transformer and rectify this problem. Being a consumer paying money for the power used, if this problem is not rectified, i may have to move the consumer court.

        I am staying as a tenant in Palavakom. I am using only one fan and 1 light and most of the time I will be in office. Per month, more than 500 units will be showing. And house owner is charging Rs 7/unit. I am deeply frustrated about this. I am not sure whether the house owner made any cheating kind of adjustment or it is the fault of TNEB meter.           I encounted a power failure at about 3am today, ever since I have been complaining to the complaint number [protected] but it is 10am and till now nobody has come so far, each time I phone the said number, they respond but the sevrice is deplorable. Would you please help me, because I am a senior citiizen and my drugs in the fridge are getting spoilt.

            Good morning

            I stay at Sabari homes, pallikaranai oil mill bustop, chennai 100.

            Im very much depresed and disturbed during night time due to continuous 1.5 hour failure at my home.

            There is no respone when we call EB and request them to switch on the power.

            After so many calls, foreman responded stating that power will not be switched on for next 1.5 hrs as advised by Mr. Vijayanthi raghavan, AE of pallikaranai office.

            He also added, this is what being proposed by government to do so.

            However, I never read any such written statement by government.

            If this is so, I trust some misuse progressing at pallikaranai EB office.

            So, I request you kindly take an enquiry and find out the facts

            We as a citizen should have freedom to sleep during night and not ready to loose my health.

                Am residing at new no:91 old no:44 Lake View Road, West Mambalam, Chennai. Three EB supply Boxes are installed opp my flat(rajalaksmi Flat entrance) another opp to Satya Klayana Mandapam(next to our apartment) and another near Sunil Flat.FROM 18 TH of this month there is a very frequent power cut due to the above three boxes are burning/smoke/cut in the cable or so. Tech i dont know the actual factual reason but EB people told it is due to heavy consumption or so.They r coming and doing their best for 3-4 hours( 18 th 10pm to 19 th 6 pm power cut) and their service is also to appreciate. But installation of a new box with new cables or so may be very useful to avoid all these power cut. 15-30 minutes cut is already here from morning to night which is tolerable. Due to summer, the installation of new box at all the three places will be effective one, i feel. kindly make necessary arrangements to rectify the daily routine cut(10pm to 0000 or still arrival of the EB team) and try to install new boxes at the three centers please.. Hope to get a feed back. i am also place in records the sincere attempt of mambalam EB tech whenever needed. Besides, My complaint to EB hqrs during the last one week daily night 28524422 has not properly taken care. The asst on duty is also not answering /proper guidance or reply to us.

                  I live at Adyar, Ponniamman Koil street and the electricity situation here is pathetic. Every night we have a problem where 2 out of three phases don't work and only one phase works that too on very low voltage. I have complained to TNEB Adyar on numerous occasions but no action has been taken. I am really disappointed with this service and I was hopeful that the promise o[censored]ninterrupted power supply would become a reality . We continue to get frequent power cuts. The help line 1912 doesn't seem to be working.
                  I will regain faith in the system if something is done about this. I dont even know if my grievance will be looked at, but can only hope.

                    We have a single phase connection and there is a frequent power cut in my house though electricity is available in near by houses and in my street, around 4 to 5 flats (accommodating nearly 25 families) are affected as the EB department has not laid the cable properly inspite of repeated requests.

                    On 22nd May 2016, in my house all the fans, tubelights, Aircondition and washing machine were seen a burnt smell due to heavy high voltage and everything have gone rapidly and the losses are quite heavy and my address is Karpagam Sundar, Old No.771/3, New No.21/3 SAM Towers, Munusamy Salai, West K.K.Nagar, Chennai 600078.                     Therefore, please intervene and help our locality to stop frequent cuts, even though Amma has promised No Power Cut, we were most affected by local EB department

                      At korattur 49th street poles fixed and under ground cable also layed. But still light fitting is done. After this 31 street poles fixed and light fitting also fixed and it in working condition. Kindly take care this 49th street. Why there is so delay in completing this work at 49th street.                       At Korattur 49th street new poles fixed and cable also is laid but new light led light fitting are not fixed. Before this street at 31th street same korattur poles were fixed after this 49th street. But why care not take for 49th street. why there is disparity in this work. Kindly take aditnal care in this work and complete as early as possible.

                        Dear sir.. My one relative (She is a widow and aged), staying at w89 block.. Kovaipudur. Coimbatore.. Tnseb men given electic connection to her house such a unsafe way that she has to face severe unsafe condition.. Because the post and it's supportive wiring.
                        Several complaints to authority didn't solve the problem.
                        Aa she is staying alone, it is increasing the any accident or incident probability and her life at risk.

                          We live in chennai at No.54, bharathi salai, triplicane, chennai-05. We are suffering without current from 1 week but response from the eb office.
                          my house has only single phase electricity lane. but the eb office people forces us to get 3 phase since we deny them they started to cut power frequently. In order to complaint we approached them through phone, letters, in person as well. But they give us very poor response telling us if you don't get 3 phase you will face the same throughout in a very careless manner and sometimes with harsh words. please do something and help to

                                I am residing in Gandhi Nagar, Alwarthirungar (Behind Mega Mart), Chennai - 87.

                                Chennai is facing rains from Monday 16th May and from this day we are living with fear for last 3 days. We didn't have electricity which is not a big issue in Chennai. But the major and emergent issue is there is heavy spark coming from the electrical post next to my house . Everytime there is this huge spark coming all the lights go off fluctions in the colony. It is a danger to life. We have been constantly complaining about this since 16th May but in vain. Lot of people from my colony have called the EB office, spoke to AE no response or action taken till now. Yesterday evening somehow the AE finally picked up my call and when i explained about the situation his reply was "Madam nothing can be done now. We dont have any people to come and see the problem. We will try to send someone tomorrow" This was such a irresponsible answer that too from an AE. He also said only you have been calling no one from your colony is complaining. When my neigbour called the response was " the electrical post is not close to your house then why do you bother". Yesterday in the newspaper we read about a couple electrocuted due to live wire in water puddle. I really felt like curing that AE and tell him if the same situation of sparks from electric post next to your house happens will you keep quite. Being a Govt servant he is least bothered about life of anyone.

                                There was movie in Tamil "Anniyan" which showed all the corruption in India including a similar situation of EB office. We really need such Anniyans to help this nation.

                                If anyone is seeing this message we request you to help us before there is loss of lives due to electric shocks.

                                  People living in anna street, sholinganallutlr are facing power supply problem for years. There has been no proper solution yet.
                                  Two weeks back there was no power for two days. It was told that transformer was the culprit causing the problem and has been changed. Buy a day after that the problem started again. Every alternate day there is a power shut down either for some maintenance even at night or due to some unknown problem. Even now there is no power for past two hours and not sure when it would come. Local complaint no. Is also switched off.
                                  Life of the people living in this area are getting affected due to sleepless nights and there by affecting their work.
                                  Can anything be done to solve this issue?

                                    Sir, 2 years before my Service wire was severely damaged due to rain. I lodged a written complaint to TNEB, Avadi region. I requested, rectify/of replace the damaged. Instead of replace, they use insulation for damaged wire. So far the problem was not solved.

                                    Today (17/05/2016) early morning the wire was burned and blasted due to rain. It is happens 3rd time.

                                      It is observed as I go early in the morning for walk, I find street lights are kept burning beyond the required time; i .e., during summer after 5.30 AM and during winter after 6/6.30 am.

                                      To save power thus, it is requested to install automatic timers that the lights are switched on and off as per the set timings.
