I have got my electricity bill for the month of March, April from the Tamil Nadu Electricity board. Along with the electricity bill I have got a separate request for deposit of 9999. This needs to be paid along with my bill for the month of March, April. On enquiry I was told that this is a random pick by the system and this deposit needs to be paid in line of my high usage and will be held as a deposit. I have not heard of this mechanism earlier? What is this deposit for? When will it be returned? How much interest will be paid on the deposit?

      Hello sir,

      My meter was replaced in nov 2015, after chennai floods.

      There after till today (9 may 2016), i have only consumed 78 units (I was not at home most of the time). But when i see the bill the units consumed were 800+. I believe the reading was taken wrongly the person has taken 700 instead of 70.0 i believe.
      My eb acc no : 214:007:4044, please re take the reading and resend the bill the bill was too high that was more than my one year and i can not pay at a time.

        I am residing at flat 12. Nalli apartments, 1 mangesh street, t nagar chennai 600017. I have 3 phase connection. The no.[protected]. It comes under se/cedc/central. I am a senior citizen aged 74 years and cannot move freely to lodge the compliant personally. Hence i am sending this message.

        I had recently checked the meter. It is not functioning.

        I request u to depute ur engineer to correct the meter and make it functional.

          We live in KP Koil Street at saidapet and recently a huge power cut problem service guy informed that capacity constrain, we need quick resolution yesterday also full night no power
          Response is also too bad from electricity board no body Works at night time, I am suffering with the kid and infant most of the nights recently

            Everybody knows that this is summer season but it's very hot and this time there is frequent power failure in my locality i.e.in chennai RA puram. If once power goes off it takes minimum 3hrs and after an hour again it goes off. It's very difficult to all whoever having small babies at home. The govt would realise and take necessary steps immediately.

              Im residing at padmavathy nagar 6th extn, vinayagapuram, kolathur. Ch-99.
              In my area there is a power failure occurs daily 3 to 4 times without any timing.


              Pls help on this we suffer a lot by this power cut and all knows that in the summer time if the power failure means nothing done in our daily activities. Please treat this mail as request letter for this subject and do action on this.

                No electricity for past four days we have call eb more than 10 times they saying we send eb man atlast they came yesterday and ask wires, and they told we come back in few minutes but they not yet come please take action as soon as possile.

But they guys not even ready to respond me back. You government getting the amount at the right time know but why the you people are not doing your work properly??                   The meter box of our home got burned. It all happened without our knowledge.. The issue is may be with the meter box's quality.. They got Rs.2500 from us and said we will get some more money if we need.. I heard this issue has happened in many places.. So the issue is definitely with the meter box which is installed by the EB people.. Kindly consider this issue and help us..

                    We reside in thandurai pattabiram, We live in Jayaraman reddy street, we have around 50 housed in the two dead end street, We always get the power fluctuated during the night time no wonder every one use Air cooler, i initially thought this was the problem, we had the main transformers replaced with the another old one and the main cause for the problem is because we have a SAW MILL in our street which is located in the begining of the street, which requires the company line for the electricity but they use the residencial line to run the SAW MILL factory, however we cannot prove it as even they have to run the business. authorities can analyse the scenario and please do the needful, ,
                    Note: we have the street light on even in the day time for the past one week we have called up the TNEB several times and every often one lady picks up the call and says that it will be taken care, in our street everyone has tried calling up the SEKKADU TNEB office usign the customer care number and no action was taken. so please do the neeful..

                          In my street there are about 7 to 10 homes power supply has been frequently cuts, each time we used to call EB and they also attending the issue but it was temporary solution, still we facing the power cut problem most often. So please try to solve this issue permanently as soon as possible. Please change the old cables, spares and replace it with new one, this only the solution to solve our street power cut issue. So please do our favor.

                              Dear sir,

                              Im the resident of pensioners 4th lane, old washermenpet, chennai - 600 021.
                              There is frequent disconnection of electricity in 4th lane, we have made several complaints to change the underground cable but of no use. The cable seems to be an old one which has several patches. From 2 months alone we faced some 10 times disconnection that too in night times.

                              In our locality only the 4th lane is the problem, all other streets cables are new and working fine with no issues. Also our area masjid is in the same lane but it has 3 phase but some of the residents cannot afford to avail or even they have it might not work for some reason.

                              We request you to take necessary action on this with high priority.

                                Last two weeks saligramam, statebank colony peoples are very disturbing due to low voltages... Air conditionar is very importance for summer seasons only. But we could not able to use the a/c in this summer.. Because of low voltage.
                                Already we complaint to the asst.Engineer of saligramam eb office...
                                But no response from him.. He told us like " most of peoples using two or three air conditions how can we help u"...

                                Ok no problem.. In this period of month we could not able to pay the full payment of eb bill... How it will possible or not?

                                  It's not working since 20-apr-16, i thought there was no power supply only for residents in chennai but here it looks like there is no power supply at your office also to switch on the server.

                                  I cannot go and stand in the que to make the payment, i can only make the payment online, if your server does not work before 26th i cannot make...
