Sir, Customer Service no. :[protected] I am from 29/39 Ramanuja Iyer street, Oldwashermenpet, Chennai-600021, Tamilnadu. I am facing power-cut issues since 10days. I call up EB office and request them to look after the issues and make it alright that it should not happen again. Everyday a new engineer comes and provides a very bad service where we could get electricity for that particular day and the next day, we find no current, it has happened so many times. The building is made off three face power supply and nobody in the building faces any sort of electrical issues except us. Our neighbours and the shop owners everybody has a good power supply. I want to complaint for not providing current and I expect the electricity board takes necessary actions immediately. Even now we don't have current. Please take immediate action.

    Sir, Reasent days there is a contineous Voltage drop and all our equipments including basic home service needs water filter, Fridge, Mixe, washing mechine and Water Pumps are not able to operate as well as found the daily power consumption of other equipmets like lamps and fans heavily increasing and filing. All these causing neusense to our elderly parents and youngsters education. Appart from these the Power consumption meter reading goes higher for which we are not responsible and the consumber forum should look into this and take immediate action otherwise serious objection will be raised and claim all loses to be recovered from TNEB

      From Monday (9-nov-2015) till now (10-nov-2015) there is no power supply in my house (13/15, Beach Street, Parangi Pettai, Cuddalore District) due to heavy rain.

      I have raised multiple complaints through direct complaints in the Parangi Pettai EB office. but there is no response whatsoever from their side.

      They just say complaint is received and they will take action. But no one has come to fix the issue.

        From yesterday (9-nov-2015) till now (7.30pm 10-nov-2015) there is no power supply in my house and 4 or 5 more houses in my street (Salaiyar st, Mandaveli). I have raised multiple complaints using the customer service number 1912 and through direct complaints in the EB office yesterday but there is no response whatsoever from their side. They just say complaint is received and they will take action. But no one has come to fix the issue.

        Its Diwali today and its been a dark Diwali for us this year. Not sure where else to raise the complaint. We have apoken to the AE also last evening and he said he will be sending someone but nobody came till now. From afternoon today, AE's number has gone switched off.

        We are surprised to face this kind of service in Chennai, being the capital of TN. Not sure if we are living in a city or a village!

        Thank you for notifying the TNEB customer support. But do you think they will take action? These are the same people I have been contacting for the past 2 days and there is no concrete solution/response from them and I feel notifying the same people against whom the complaint was raised is of no use.

        These complaints should reach someone who is a higher authority or someone who will escalate this issue to the top-most representative of the TNEB.!!

        Anyway, thank you for your efforts.

          HI I Am residing @ Nagelkeni Pallavaram. We have Power shut down From Morning 6 0 clock, We have Contacted the Customer Care Number and Booked A Complaint on the same, they said some fault is there it wil be restored in some time. Time Now is 4:25 PM Till Now power supply has not restored, We have contacted the the Respective AE [protected], and another DE [protected] Both the Numbers are switched off from Morning. When we try reaching Customer Care 1912, they are telling no response from your EB office, they are asking me to go and have a check in EB office and tell the status of it nu. Very pathetic, disorderly People are still Working in Goverment office. Very bad. We have old peoples in my house without basic stuff like water is not there. Think about the situation, Human less creatures. They will be rewarded nicely for this behaviour.
          You are right Sir! I can understand your situation.

          Even we are facing the same issue from yesterday (9th Nov, 2015) - No power in our house and few more houses in our street in Mandaveli. And the situation has still not resolved. Its been 2 whole days and no person have come to restore the connection. No proper response in the customer care number 1912 or the AE (who has switched off his mobile).

            I am residing near Ragavendra temple, anakaputhur. Getting frequent power cut in night time. Today from 11 PM and not it is 2:25 AM no power. Just now we got the power. Tried to reach Pammal EB office number [protected], but could not reach for more than 3 hours. And tried AE number [protected], even he/she is not picking the phone. Only able to reach customer care. But they are also saying the same. Not sure who will take action with Pammal EB department. Are we slave. Thanks Sureshkumar R.

              Three is a EB Pole at the following address which has been damaged at the bottom.
              Location:Trichy corporation, 61 ward, North Kattur, behind UDC, Very closer to KURUVI Kalyana Mahal, Thiru nagar 6th street.

              Problem: Bottom of the EB pole/post borken. EB man not willing to repair the street light due to week post.

              Requirement: Replacement of EB post.
              Sir we have electric pole in our own place ..so I request you to change the electric pole

                I am resident of oorapakam. Staying in two bed room apartment. My electricity consumer service number is[protected]. My electricity bill is coming to Rs16000/- above from past few months & we requested the local electricity office to look in to the issue. Even after repeated requests there is no one turn up to check the meter. In fact the bill is coming even though we were out of station for almost 20days in month. Unable to bare the charges we forced to switch off mains & living in dark. I am deeply disappointed with the kind of service they are providing & wondering for common man like me to pay Rs15000/- & above electricity bill make me sick. I don't know whom to share my frustration.

                  Sir, i am keerthana, advocate, madras high court ph:[protected], i regret to inform you that illegal commercial line power connections has been given to shop keeper mr.s.indrasekaran in my house he has been robbing our current for past 15 years and using it for commercial perpose several complaints has been given to eb officials but no action has been taken, his eb no:[protected] his commercial line connection has been given from our residential line without our authorisation letter and signature and the commertial line connection has been taken from our residential eb line which is a theft and even forgery has been committed by mr.s.indrasekaran owner of subrama electronics, 4, meeran sahib st mount rd, ch-2 i kindly request you to take action against the culprit immediately and disconnect his commercial line and curtail the fraudulent act commited by mr.s.indrasekaran.                     This is Perinbaraj residing in 14-3, Palladam Road, Okkilipalayam, O.K.Mandapam Post, Coimbatore-6401032. we have the powercut and low voltage problem daily in our area especially it is high during night hours. we have kids, they are not able to sleep properly because of this problem. I dont know why this low voltage problem & unnecessary powercut is occuring in all areas. somtimes the low voltage is occuring evening to early morning 6a.m, This area people's are very suffering, please take the necessary action for this.                       I am resing in 24/32, damodara moorthy road, kilpauk. my TNEB consumer no is 01/149/028/047.TNEB has changed the electricity meter in april 2015 with new digital meter, since then my consumptions are showing 10 times the usual electricity consumption, When we complained about the faulty meter.The AssistantEngineer told me to pay the amount for the april, may readings and assured us that neceesary action will be taken if over reading continues he will change the meter. the next cycle of reading went up to Rs 14500. I am making repeated requests in writing and making phone calls to change the faulty meter, but no action has been taken so far, My previous paymennts used to be around Rs 1200.only.Because of the over charging I am having mental agony.I want my faulty meter to be replaced, kindly take necessary action

                          In my appartment there supply line is failed. we were contacting the EB officer for 2 days for this problem but there is no response and also we have raised the compliant in EB office. And they are treating the public as low as animals and if we asked about the problem they are using some bad words in response. Please resolve this ASAP.

                              Around 1.00 am on 12.10.2015 power suddenly went off. When 'power house' was contacted in no.[protected], an officer on duty there informed us that there has been a break-down in our line. When asked whether we have to contact the AE, he said they have already informed the AE; and to our query whether the disconnection will be made right only in the morning, he said that the AE will see to it that connection is restored very soon...But at last it was actually set right only after 5.00am.

                              It has been brought to our notice from the replies given to us as and when we lodge our complaints regarding grievances that power connection to our residential area has been given from Vilaar Grid (Industrial Line) and because of this, whenever situation arises for power-cuts, the first line affected is our line, even when the rest of Maadhaakkottai (with Panchayat Board Approval) enjoys power. Rajnagar residents have not asked for Vilaar Grid (industrial line) connection! But why should we be affected this way, in spite of Rajnagar enjoying Town Planning approval right from 1987?

                              Why residential connections have been given from industrial line? Is it to provide power to water supplies companies in 1A tariff illegally?

                              It has been brought to our knowledge that in Vilaar Grid (Industrial line), illicit power connections have been given to illegal commercial water supplies companies, more than 10 nos. of which thrive in this area without proper licenses and due to this, persistent low voltage and frequent voltage fluctuations and repeated unexpected power failures occur, besides our appliances are damaged. We do not know under what provisions power connections have been given to the illegal commercial water supplies companies, functioning in residential area without proper licenses against Govt. rules; and because of such unlawful connections our families in residential area are affected with untold miseries. Natural inference is that since a no.of powerful motors are switched on and off frequently, low voltage and voltage fluctuations recur.

                              In this regard various personal, several telephonic and written complaints have already been given to TANGEDCO Authorities and so far no fruitful actions have been taken.

                              Since huge quantity of ground-water is suck daily with powerful motors, the under-ground-water level too has gone dangerously very low and our residential bore-wells are getting dried up! When the first house came up in Rajnagar in 1994, well-water was available in 60 feet. After bore-wells came up one by one, all open wells dried up around 2000 and now, after many water supplies cos. came up, the ground-water level has gone below 125ft. If this situation continues, bore-wells also are to get dried up in a few years. Maadhaakkottai with the 2nd best drinking water in India, only next to a village in Madyapradesh is destined to be barren!

                              In this regard various personal, several telephonic and written complaints have already been given to TANGEDCO Authorities and so far no fruitful actions have been taken.

                              Hence, we request that early fruitful actions may please be taken suitably in this regard.

                                  Due to abnormal tariff, I made a request to disconnect the power supply service, provided by TANGEDCO. (Ref:[protected]. I paid the final bill and my request for "disconnection" was considered after 15 days, after a vigorous follow-up, I had to cough up another 1000+ rupees as final payment. I replaced the power source by investing a heavy investment by installing a DG set! The regrettable part is that the TNEB staff took away the meter (of course, their "property"); but also the guy took away the wire, pipe (metal), which are belonged to me. His rudeness is unacceptable. I require my belonging back.

                                    என் வீட்டுக்கு மிக மிக அருகாமையில் புதிதாக தெரு விளக்கு அமைத்தார்கள். இது என் வீட்டுக்கு பெரிதும் இடஞ்சலாக இருக்கிறது. குழி தோண்டி அமைத்த முதல் நாளே மின்சாரம் வெடித்து பெரு ஒளி எழுப்பியது. தினசரி நாய்கள், பூனை வீட்டு முன் அசிங்கம் படுத்துகின்ற இதனால் குழந்தைகளுக்கு இடையூறாக இருக்கிறது. தயவு செய்து இதை(மீின் கம்பம் தள்ளி பொறுத்துங்கள்). ஏற்கனவே மின் கம்பம் இருக்கிறது, ஆனால் அது மழை காலத்தில் அந்த வழியாக செல்ல முடியாது(Because of Spark) இப்போது என் வீட்டுக்கு மிக மிக அருகாமையில் புதிதாக தெரு விளக்கு அமைகின்றனர். அதை தள்ளி பொறுத்துங்கள்.நான் AE உறுப்பினர்களிடம் புகார் எழுப்பினேன் ஆனால் அவர்கள் கண்டு கொள்ளவில்லை. தயவு செய்து கொஞ்சம் தள்ளி பொறுத்துங்கள்

Whenever I am making the call to my local EB office they are telling silly reasons (Like Over load, Shutdown, Tripped like that) for power disconnect. I have friends in entire thiruvotriyur Chennai area. But this power cut problem happening Only in Madura nagar thiruvottiyur, area only. Tamil nadu...

                                      I have paid my TNEB bill amount of Rs.4110 on 28.9.2015 before due date ( service number..[protected] through IOB net banking.Bank transaction number.809521.But the amount has not been adjusted towards my bill till today.When i personally went to the local TNEB office today to clarify, they are asking me to pay the amount Rs.4201 with fine.They are not ready to take up the matter with their head office in this connection and don't seem to be customer friendly.I got confirmation from the bank that the amount has been credited in TNEB's account on the same day itself...ie. 28.9.2015.I am a senior citizen and very much mentally upset.As i am a pensioner, this amount is very big for me.
