We are residing at Ponniamman koil Street Adyar.. For the last 5 to 6 days there is daily power cut after 10..even right now there is no power .electricity board seem to claim that the fuse is getting damaged every single day! Very disappointed! In this peak summer it is very difficult to even manage..

    Sir, I am residing in eveready colony, kodungaiyur. For the past 10-15 days there is power cut daily, during night especially after 10 PM. This causes enormous hardship to old people, children and office goers, who are not able to sleep. Even after the power supply is restored, the voltage keeps on fluctuating and is very low most of the times such that even fans rotate slowly and air conditioners do not work at all.       Sir, i am residing in nilamangai nagar, adambakkam. For the past 3-4 days there is power cut daily, during night especially after 10 pm. This causes enormous hardship to old people, children and office goers, who are not able to sleep. Even after the power supply is restored, the voltage keeps on fluctuating and is very low most of the times such that even fans rotate slowly and air conditioners do not work at all. Suddenly there is heavy upsurge causing tripping. This period being peak of the summer, we are not able to sleep and office goers face lot of hardship as we cannot get enough rest at night and how can we get up and go for work. The situation is same for the past 4-5 years and every summer the same thing is repeated. Will the authorities rectify this voltage problem and ensure normal powersupply at night. I request the authorities to install a new transformer at nilamangai nagar to take care of the increasing needs as so many apartments have come up in this area. Thank you.

        There is an EB Junction box situated at N.No.52 / O.No.178, Kutchery Road, Mylapore, Chennai-600004. Very close to that there is a tall tree from which often dried shells fall down on and around that EB Junction box causing a great fear and fire threat for the public. So kindly requesting the concerned authority to take immediate action by cutting the branches of that tree and safeguard any kind of fire accident happening.

          Last 2 months my family has gone to native and no one is in house as we switched off the mains. But the bill has generated as RS 520.The meter reading shows the same as the previous reading 3000.But the EB person shown the meter is defective and put units consumed as 230.             DearSir, Iam Kamal from coimbatore, EB people came to my Resi to replace my old Analog meter with Digital meter on 14.05.2015. Today the EB people came back again demanding for damage charges for my old meter (which was damaged on the outer cover but in good working condition.). As per Govt Rule the Old Analog meters are not to be used any more and even if I had to complain about the damage caused in the old meter the EB is supposed to replace new meter free of cost. I strongly feel there is some intended fleecing and I need to know If Iam liable.

              Sir, My Name is Narsimman S/O Vijaya consumer number is [protected] (commercial service) on that old meter (number 3249942) was changed into new one (Meter No: 2178672) on 22/05/2015 without any notification from the concerned department of TNEB of Pudupet region under Tirupattur circle Vellore district. So please tell me what reason to my old meter was changed without any request to change of meter even on well condition.

                Dear Sir, I am Rajesh residing at 1st Cross Street Parimalam Nagar, Vinayagapuram, Chennai - 600099 and the Electric Pole which was stood near by house was fallen on 29th April 2015 due to that one of the TNEB employees climbs up the pole to do some repair work and it is yet to be cleared from the site. This is resulting to posing extreme hardship to the pedestrians and motorists passing by this narrow road. So I request you to take appropriate action to clear this pole as soon as possible and help us to have smooth traffic in this area.

                  Myself Asan, residing at Plot no.2, 1st Avenue, 'A' Sector, Siva Sakthi Nagar, Annanur, Chennai - 600109. I have paid my EB bill amount of Rs. 1060 on 18.03.15 through Axis bank. Transaction was successful but receipt was not generated so i registered a complaint in TANGEDCO website. I have received reply as amount will be refund in minimum 15 days but even after 1 month i dint receive any refund amount. So i again registered a complaint. Instead I received current month bill with last month due and fine amount.

I have one power connection with Puthanatham EB office in Truchirappalli district, Tamilnadu. 621310. In 20th May 2015 . I was not getting power supply by unknown issues. So I gave complaint in That EB office . And the lineman were came to my home and rectified the issues . Then he asked me Rs .100 for Service Charges . I asked him why are you asking the money for do your duty . He said that you should pay the money whenever you call for this issue. I said I don't give bribe . But he said don't call me without interest to give bribe to me . Corruption is main thing in this office. Please take immediate action .

                      D.Jhansu Rani, 51, Cooks Road, Ch -12,[protected] Consumer No.[protected] The department replaced new digital meter with out our presence and not entered the reading in our EB Card and we dont know whether new reading starts at 'Zero' or some other reading and also in the reading ended in the old meter. Our last month consumption is 600 units bi-monthly present month consumption show in online 1605 units bi- monthly However this amount of Rs.9423 and deposit Rs. 600 paid on 02.05.2015 by receiving the SMS. Compliant given to AE, Cooks Road Division on 04.05.2015, but they are not responded to show the records for regarding reading noted by them at the time of installation. online reading shows as: previous reading for 1 1/2 months is - 505 units after installed new meter from 04.04.15 to 27.04.[protected] units Total - 1605 units kindly do the needful justice to me after enquiry and rectify the excess reading entered without our knowledge and refund excess amount paid by us.

                            My wife Mrs. R Bhavatharani is the owner for my flat at Flat no.3B Suvarna Lok Apts, 19/34 Melony road, T.Nagar, Chennai-17. Consumer No.[protected] During the first week of May 2015, the TNEB employee noted the meter reading and informed me that the charges will be around Rs.45, 000 and more. I have objected and made a complaint to A.E in this regard. A.E has deputed some person to verify the meter and informed me that during April only, the digital meter was installed and it is functioning properly. We are only 2 people living in the flat and I, being an advocate, will be mostly outside the flat from 9am to 9pm. My wife alone is there. Though all rooms have been fitted with AC, we use only 1 AC at a time. Hence there is no possibility of consuming more than 20 units per day. I humbly request you to do the necessary verification and if possible, change the meter and provide justice to me and till the date of this action, kindly stay the collection of billed figure. The max. current consumption during May-Jun 2013 has been within 2000 units. Kindly do the needful in this regard. K Rajasekaran

                              EM meter has been installed to my house in the month Dec 2014. I have received minimum bill amount amount for month of december (14/-). For the month of Feb 2015 also, no reading taken by EB. so received a bill amount of Rs.26.00. When inquired in EB office sembakkam, they told i will receive everything in the month of April. In the april month Bill the units consumed since dec 2014 have been charged and the bill amount raised to Rs. 5694.00 as per slab. If the reading was taken properly, i would have got the bill for only 1300.00+. Kindly split the bill amount bimonthly.

                                  Respected Madam / Sir, The meter reading is showing excess units than usual. The consumed unit shows 600 units for Feb 2015 and 920 units for May 2015. The usual reading works up to 500 units max for our residence. There is no A\C and no heavy usage but we always receive high amount to pay. Kindly look into this. Sudden shoot up of this excess charges seems to be of concern also need to check the meter because of this we always pay more.
