we are in a colony called WOOD CREEK COUNTY, at Nandambakkam. This colony consists of 155 houses. we are facing the following problems. 1. Non functioning of street lights in 6 streets and 1st main road.from yesterday. 2. The installed New street lights are not commissioned for more than 9months. 3.Several complaints made to the local authorities are in vain. Kindly rectify our grievances immediately.     EB post Damaged new post replacement requested regarding

    We have sent a letter to The Assistant Engineer, Tamilnadu Electricity Board manali North, dated 29.12.2012 in this regard. An EB post which located near the Aavin Transport Section, Madhavaram milk colony, chennai - 51 is badly damaged in condition and it has been fall any time. It creates accident any time. Kindly take immediate action to replace the damaged post and if possible provide under ground cable before any unforeseen incident...

As per your message dated 31/12/2014, the electricity charge for the SC No:[protected] was Rs: 880/-(bimonthly) and Rs: 60/-for the SC No:[protected] and the amount have already been remitted on 12.01.2015. As per your recent message dated 27/02/2015 the electricity charges Rs: 20/- for the SC No:[protected] and Rs: 1180/- for the SC No:[protected] which are due on 17/03/2015. We are regularly using the electricity from both the services and the average consumption of electricity will be 3-4 units per day for the SC No:[protected] and the average electricity consumption will be 1-2 units/day for the SC No:[protected]. Therefore the electricity charge for the month of January–February 2015 shows drastic variation. Moreover these two domestic connections were allotted to me recently i.e in the month of October 2014. Hence it is requested that the necessary cross check may kindly be made in the meter reading and also check the electricity meter to ensure proper functioning and replace the same accordingly.       SUB : Billing Problem. Dear Sir, My Consumer no:[protected] I used to pay my EB bill through Online last 4 years before the Due date itself . And On Month 28/10/2014 unable to pay the bill within the due date 17/11/2014 due to my Personal reason since my Mother was Expired on that month . So now when i check Online status its showing SERVICE IS DISCONNECTED and but still Physically Fuse is not Disconnected and meter is working condition till now. When i have checked with Assistant engineer SULTHAN ABDUL KADHAR and he said you Need to pay the amount 3 times fine from the Due Amount for DC . Please i need clarification and Justification for this to pay the Fine Amount 20, 000 Without DC a service from their end, please help us on this to proceed further. Regards SENTHILKUMAR.C

            Sir, Iam narasimhulu, residing in Sevvapet, Tiruvallur district my EB connection no is 554.002.979 we are using 3 phase meter at my residence. our major electric consumption are Fan-4 nos and Fridge(double door) only. We do not have luxury items like A/c, water heater, Induction stove, Micro wave woven etc., inspite of not having these luxury items, we have recd a EB bill of 2724 this month(bi-monthly), and 940 two months back, which puts us in shock. when we approached the EB office, said we can inspect only against lodging a complaint. so, iam lodging this complaint form, request you to help me in solving my meter problem Below are the payment details date Unit Amount 30.08.14 100 243.00 27.10.14 370 940.00 28.12.14 110 188.00 27.02.[protected].00 Thanks and regards, Narasimhulu.

              Sir/Madam, I, Dr. K. Pandarinathan, registered a complaint through the toll free number 1912, complaint number--531504 on 17/02/2015 that power supply to the shop occupied by me, located at 88-90, Narayanasamipuram:, Opp. Om Sakthi Kaliamman Temple, Behind NS Bus Shed, Arisipalayam, Salem - 636009, was disconnected / no electricity supply was there from 15/02/2015, it was not attended and rectified till date. I contacted the Arisipalayam TNEB Office by phone and they replied contact the lineman and cut off the call without giving the lineman's phone number. I collected the phone number of the lineman from the near by shop and contacted him, he didn't respond properly to the call. The power supply was cut off after changing the previous Electricity Reading Meter to Digital Reading Meter. Also, I have paid all the bills till date and there are no pending bills or dues.                 Madam/Sir,

                sub: power cut in my household whenever EB workers are at distribution boards and cables, transformers

                Every time that EB workers are seen just opposite to my household I experience permanent fuse burns and PERMANENT power cuts in few rooms of my house. This is an observation to share over more than five such instances of same situations. I informed the concerned Asst. Enggr. of the exchange who told me that there was a SERVICE CABLE FAULT and that I could call the electricians for a temporary looping that could be done until the SERVICE CABLE FAULT is rectified. While am yet to know if this fault has been set right, similar permanent power cuts have happened more than five occasions now. The electricians tell me that the entire house wiring has to be changed. I am at a loss to know if all these have happened due to heavy currents due to faulty cables that run to my household or due to that FAULTY SERVICE CABLE as told to me by the AE and thereupon affecting my internal wirings and charring house fuses. Kindly conduct an enquiry to assess the situation and analyse if this is a chain of impacts due to faulty EB cables affecting my circuits. Also I observe that many BREAKERS are being installed in the area . Kindly inspect and assess if installing and commissioning such gadgets on part of EB to cables concering my household could be a solution. Kindly depute experts for a thorough assessment of problem reported my me through this mail and kindly provide safe, faultless electricity service to my household.

                I am a resident of the area for the past 30 years and such a situation has never occured as this recent repeated electrical failure. Through this letter I humbly share my observations and happenings as regards electricity failure to my household for all your good-selves to take stock of things and necessitate due action and oblige.

                It was most unfortunate that I had to manage in utter darkness the demise of my aged handicapped uncle yesterday under these electricity conditions. Also me and my aged bed-ridden aged mother are put to most discomfort due to these recent electricity problems.

                          No response from TNEP received so far. At least they may reply the time period within which it could be rectified. Earlier reference is reproduced for your information please: 05 Feb 2015 Dear Sir, Inspite of repeated complaints/requests, no street light is functioning for last 2 months at 4th street, Sornapuri Nagar, Kattupakkam, Ch-56. It is known from the representative of Kattupakkam Panchayat, Poonamallee, Tiruvallur Dist that Shri KGT Gowthaman, President, Kattupakkam Panchayat has personally made complaint to the office of the AE Iyyappanthangal(Porur) and the feed back from TNEB is that the concerned electric posts must be changed. Then only it can be rectified. So, I want to know how long it will take further. Any time frame?                             My service number is [protected] of Saligramam, Chennai-93. After the reading date of 16.12.2014, my meter became dead on 20thDec14 and i immediately reported the problem through a letter with a copy of my card as required by the EB office. Till date no body came to replace the meter and we were following with them for a minimum of 8 times.

                            Today, the next reading date has come and the meter reading person has noted the faulty meter and has charged me for 715 units with an amount of Rs.3549/- saying it is done on previous average. This is ridiculous. This is a period where A.C is not at all used and my average consumption for non.A.C using periods is only 440 units. My reading for the same February month last year is 510 and the previous year 2013 is 460 units.

                            For the mistake on EBs side of not replacing the meter immediately you are trying to penalise the consumer which is not acceptable. I request you to take up the matter and arrange for a fair settlement of the matter.

YET to get any respond. I have paid, the due amount, due to disconnection status over my bill with fine too. Kindly conclude this issue. Since after changing the new meter too I have notice the graft different in the billing amount. Weather the same will be taken in the year ending of 2015, status for average short fall. Kindly confirm.

                                dear sir, i am residing under pudukkottai district my TNEB comes under the supervision of vadakadu sub unit..SS no 4 output connection are not properly linked and it was burn out, It is wounded with aluminum wires as a remedy but it is looking more dangerous and frequently sparkling when load is on..i have attached the proof for your reference..will the authority take necessary steps to clear this issue..

                                Tamil Nadu Electricity Board [TNEB] customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
                                Last night at 10.30 pm I have complained that the transformer on 11 Manikeswari road Kilpauk is igniting sparks and fire. The EB number at kilpauk never picked up my call. I have complained at Head office Mount Road and also a mobile No appearing in the EB sight. The head office people said they would inform the AE. The person who received the mobile call rudely replied that he will send a person only in the morning. Today morning again we have complained to the EB office at Kilpauk that fire is emitted by the transformer. Now even after 14 hours the complain is unattended.I hope after reading this mail some responsible official would take up the matter before any serious damage occurs.

                                  i am from Kotturpuram, Chennai and my consumer number is[protected]. There has been no supply in one phase since November 10, 2014. I was told that there is a fault in the cable because of which there is no supply in that one phase. In spite of repeated requests to address the issue and complaints to the EB Office in Kotturpuram, no action has been taken. It looks like the concerned authorities are not interested in correcting...
