Tamil Nadu Electricity Board [TNEB] — This post is to answer : how to delete the previous tenants email id from tangedco and update it with your email id.

It's very simple.

Enter the following url in your web browser.

https://www.tnebnet.org/awp/login

Then click on "newuser?" (Just below the login button).

Then it will ask for "new application no / service no:". Select "existing service connection".

Then select your region (For me it is "09-chennai south). Then select lt/ht. For domestic users, it will be lt by default.

Then enter your connection number and click on"check detail".

Now you will be able to see the"name, address and service status"of the connection number you entered, at the bottom.

Then click on confirm

Then you will be redirected to another page.

In this page, you will see the"name of the already registered user"along with a"note"in blue colour.

Read this note. Voilaaaaa.!!! There you are... An end to your search.

Just below the note, there are two rows

1. Your name :
2. Your e-mail id :

Enter the name and email id in which you want to register the connection. Then click on"register claim".

Done!!!

An email will be sent to the already registered user to delete his account. If he did not delete his account, the system will check the usage of his account for recent transactions and if no transactions were done by him for the registered service number, then his account will be deleted automatically within 7 days and an intimation email will be sent to you for making new registration.
