Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation [TNSTC] — bribe by a setc conductor

I travelled from bangalore to coimbatore on 1/9/2017 in setc bus no tn-01-an-1121 around 11 pm.

I board near madiwala, bangalore. I asked whether any seat available. Conductor said there are 5 passengers who reserved but dint report and he allocated seat number 10 to me.

Similarly he filled these empty seats for which the reserved passengers dint report to other passengers who boarded in silk board, bangalore.

When bus left bangalore and moved to highway, he issued me the ticket. I paid the ticket amount rs.375, but then threatened me to pay rs.50 more as bribe else get down from the bus. He also said that we people do many expenses so why not pay rs.50 more as bribe.

Bus is already in highway, i can't get down, having no other go i paid him.

That seat is already reserved but someone, but the person dint turn up. So he allocated that to me and collected rs.375, which is okay. But why should i pay rs.50 as bribe. The conductor said he need that for tea/coffee expense.

We all know very well no conductor/driver pays in any hotel. They just take whatever they need.

I hope strict action will be taken against this conductor.
