THis is to bring to your notice that the TASMAC shops are selling the liquors at higher rate than the MRP printed on the bottles .

Stops sell Beers at the counter and customers compelled to buy beers from the Bars attached at a high rate (chilled ),
Even non chilled Beers from Counters gets only if paid 15-20 Rupees Extra.
In case of other liquors, few examples are, Mcdowell VSOP 180 Ml MRP says 85 RS, where gets at 95 RS from TASMAC shops.375ml at 190 RS (MRP 170)
JOIE DE FRANC VSOP DELUXE BRANDY 750 Ml gets at 440 RS ( MRP 400 RS )
This is the case of selling at high rate not in any one or particular shop in chennai city, most TASMAC outlets, wherever i used to visit .
for 750 ML Hot drink charges 40 RS extra and Beer 20-25 RS
Considering the sale of liquor, this extra money will be a huge illegal money collected going unaccounted in the country,
for example if we can take 22-25 Lakhs cases Beer in month of April in chennai, the illegal money extortion happening in this way may be
2200000*24 (bottles)*10 ( extra Money) =52.80 Crores,
we have calculated only Beers, calculating the Other liquor sale, actual may be just double or triple of the amount

Even after complaining in this issue there has been no action taken as of yet. The officials are just ignoring this issue or they must also be hand in glove and getting their cut for ignoring action on this issue. Has anyone witnessed or can any one give an incident where action was taken on such issue. There is no use of complaint only waste of time.

Their is a TASMAC in kelnarma, near kelkodungalure.vandavasi taluk, thiruvannamalai dt.This issue seems to be continues stil.They are selling more than MRP Rate.For example, Beer MRP rate. Rs.90. But they are selling Rs.100 in counter

It happens everywhere.. the employees have gotten used to overcharging.. when asked for the correct balance money they say to go and get drinks from elsewhere..

hi i am senthilkumar from madurai .and at at madurai tasmac shop no 5429 at chatrtapatti madurai the staff name is mr selvam and saravanan they are charging for kingfisher legar beer for Rs 90 but MRP IS Rs 70.pls do somthing they are not ready to give bill also.when i ask the bill they are shouting and spoke very bad words.THEY ARE MUST PUNISHED

i am sathish kumar from kovaipudur coimbatore.i complaint about the over charging from the original MRP rate of drinks in kovaipudur, anbu nagar tasmac, coimbatore...its located opposite of the anbunagar petrol bunk kovaipudur..(like charging 5 rs extra for hot drinks and 10 rs extra charging for beer). is this charges are reasonable according to government norms???????? if it is not take immediate action over this complaint.
if the consumers ask about the over charge the tasmac employees behaving in bad manner..please take the action over this complaint also... ( tamilnadu tasmac employees earn more money then the chief minister !!! wowwwwwwwww... )

DEAR SIR iam kavin frm puliampatti in erode district, my complaints about the SHOP NO: 3704 locates near SRI DEVI THEATRE main road national highways punjai puliampatty to kovai, i and my friends main complaint was charging the Mc brandy_750ml Rs 320 instead of Rs 285 which written in the bottle, they charger more than 35rupes over the MRP, we asked the salesman of the shop, he and his assistant said that they has to pay money monthly for their higher officials of ERODE DISTRICT, which goes upto TASMAC MD level, is this reasonable according to the TASMAC MD...?we agrees to give Rs 300 for Mc brandy full, but they refuses to give the bottle, also he askin me to raise the comnplaint wherevever we wish that no one can question him, inside the shop there is more than 8 to ten boxes of Mc brandy full items available but they not selling for everyone, only they sale for one who ginving their fixed prices, ITS REALLY A HARD THING TO DIGEST such a bad manner of these tasmac employees, my relations also says in this shop they charging more than 15 rupees for the BEER, plz take action immediately against the employees of this shop in a week, otherwise we peoples complaint to CM'S special CELL about the tasmac administration in erode district and about the administration of TASMAC MD...!

I am arokiam .D I lived in puzhal . my complaint is that in kavaangarai (chennai 600066)Tasmac wine shop . they asking extra money for all kind of liquor ..,
and they never sell beer . but they selling beer in bar.in attached bar one beer cost is 100 rs, and they also closed the tasmac before 9 pm and they sell stocks in attached bar they charge more for liquor

tasmac shop no:1882 was in bus stop,in the evening time school students,womans are facing malty problem of drinkers kindly help our village and save our students life.

with reg.to the above complaint, I am facing this always in a TASMAC outlet located near COIMBATORE AIRPORT, CITRA where they are charging Rs.10 extra on each bottle...

when asked about it, they argue that they have paid rs50, 000 to get into the sales job...
this leads to have a bad impression on GOVT undertaken liqor sales...

There are number of frauds is happening in Ambattur to Tiruvallur belt, if i say particular incident was happend in Pattabirmam (Mr.Velu, Sles) TASMAC Shop and Sevvapet TASMAC Shop. Instead of TASMAC employe local rowdys (Mr.Mani - Loacal Dada) are selling the liquers inside the shop and they are doing other criminal activities inside the shop and the bar. When joining TASMAC they dont have any property on their name and their family persons name, after joining the TASMAC a single persoan is having morethan Rs.50 Lakhs bank balance and also having morethan 3 bank accounts with huge balance. I think hole TASMAC department is growing like anything, counter sales person is earning morethan 50, 000 Permonth.

Instead of studying for IAS, IPS, IFS, Doctor, Lawyer simply if they get job in TASMAC they will become rich person within two years.

I know TN Government and TASMAC department will not going to take single action against this complaint because the person who is reading this mail he will also have a hand and glove with all the shops and they will be having gentleman agreement with shops.

God only save this country from this goverment and from this Officers.

If department fail to take action against, defenetly i will take this issues to CM Cell and CNN- IBN with all proof.

Please check on all TASMAC SHOPS BECAUSE EVEN THE GOOD SHOPS HAVE BECOME BAD BECAUSE OF THE SPREADING BAD SHOPS SUCH AS NAVAOOR PIRIVU, LAWLEY ROAD, KOVAIPUDURE etc. these guys not only charge more but also speak very rude, they forget they are workers there ( TASMAC ASSOCIATION LEADER) look into these, Also these workers dont give to our choice they just give what they want and when we say that our brand is there they give it. they language is bad, no proper change is rendered, chill bears are charged 10Rs. extra even unchilled bears are charged the same. please make us feel happy for paid services Every TASMAC PERSON/WORKER MUST BE EDUCATED, CULTURED, WELL MANNERED AND WELL - BEHAVED.

I fully agree with the compainant and all the TASMAC sale men are robbing the down trodden because most of them are addict to that. I too experienced such occurance and I found that they have charged Rs.40/ more than the MRP. Is there any meaning for MRP or it is simply a label like in anything?. If it is not implemented, why they should have such MRP Label in the bottle?. Why government should not consider to open super market to sell liquor? In the absense of that strict enforce ment of sales against a bill in the name of the customer? I hope that some one will come forward to fix all the irregularities.
If no positive result, nobody will believe in making complaint. There will be no end of this practice and sales men will abuse the customer who question them.
WILL GOVERNMENT ENFORCE THE LAW STRICTLY?

Our time in complaining is waste of our time. Because they are getting extra charges openly. so they wont afraid about complaints, since the officers also getting share in that. so it's our fate to give extra charges and drink... what the government is doing i dont know.

I am living in PALLAARAM the same problem is happening in the tasmac shop which is located at door no.8/77 Srinivasaperumal koil street, (opp.JANATHA THEATRE) there is no shop number on the board wich is deleted, one beer they are charging more than Rs.30/- that not in cooled condition . the tarmac shop man is asking for Rs. 2/- extra for one bottle of 180ml.

On 07.06.2011 at around 1.30pm, When we are going to ask the beer in the same shop, they are replying NO STOCK, IF YOUR WAN A BEER, YOU CAN GET FROM THE BAR, IF WE ARE APPROACHING THE BAR THEY ARE DEMANDING 25 TO 30 RUPEES EXTRA FROM THE MRP RATE FOR THE BEER WITHOUT COOLING.IF WE ARE ASKING REGARDING THE MRP RATE, THEY ARE USING ABNORMAL WORDS AND SHOUTING AND THREATENING THE COSTUMERS..
Hereby I am humbly requesting to you sir, to visit the particular tasmac shop and correct the corruption near soon as possible please. your initiative action will be solicited.

Hi, I am totally agree with this. Same thing is happening in Chrompet ( Near bus stand for Guindy going buses)shop. While here they charge 7 Rs/ additionally, another day in Guindy railway station( race course view) shop men also charged 7 Rs/-.as addition.
It is to blame the manufacturing companies also for their stickers on the bottle with Price details printed in very small size font. How to act against this daylight loot? Everything are happening under this nose of Govt.

As I live in velachery I went to Phoneix market city ELITE liquor they charge more than MRP for the BEER.They chagred Rs.110 for KING FISHER BEER. I asked them they told it is for cleaning and current charge. I paid Rs 220 for two BEER.

I have been seeing this broad day light loot happen for so many years now. The Tasmac employees are very rude and they are looting Rs.5 - Rs - 10 for beer, Rs.2 for 180ml whisky/brandy/vodka/rum etc. Rs.5 for 360ml and Rs.10 for 750ml bottles.

They are looting publics hard earned money and no one takes any action against them. like minded people should go and register a complaint..I found this following link and hope it helps, I am planning to call them tomorrow and complain against S. Manokaran Tasmac staff Akkarai.

Whenever we are asking for any quarter, they are asking extra two rupees more than that of the MRP. If we question them, why we need to pay extra two rupees, the shopkeepers are shouting at us saying, if you need get it for this price or leave the place. We are not begging them to get a 180 ml brandy/whisky. This is highly disappointing and digraceful to the consumers. TN government should take strict action against this.

This trend still continues just imagine 5 to 10 rs per Beer and a shop on an avg sells at least 100 beers and 5 rs per beer is 500 and this is not only for beers also for other liquors ranging from 5 to 20 rs a full bottle and still there is a trend of selling at the night time in black market and thats another 30 rs additional charge per half bottle

What is the goverment doing about this, when will people in govt work for salary rather then corruption a begger is better then these corrupted roten un elligible living thing...

When I usually buy brandy and other items from Yellanalli (Ooty road) near Needle Industries they do not give back the change of Rs.5/- at all and have quarrel with me and others. When somebody asks for bill they do not give it and they say them to come back and get the bill but they do not give that at all. Of course when we go again on the next day they can adjust very well with their attitude they met on the first day with the customers. When they get Rs.5/- extra from each person each time per day everybody know that how much they swindle. This money will not be shown in any of their ledger and given back to the customers.

On 18/11/2011, I purchased a Beer (GoldenEagle Deluxe 650ml) from Tasmac shop at Mappedu Junction in Tiruvallur dist, The sales man charged me 80/-, but the MRP on the bottle is 65, when asked him about the rate compared to chennai( 70/-)He started speaking in bad language and i[censored] want to buy or you take from chennai.This is going on continuously.you complain any where, even the minister cannot take action on me.
This is the state of many costumers, getting cheated right under your one nose. Is drinking liquor is a crime where you have to bribe some to get the stuff. When the government is selling it is, is it not legal ?
Then why should we pay more.

Will the concern authorities take any action or will they give a deaf ear on this regard.

This issue seems to be continues still, no actions still..The beers are charging 15-20 RS extra, a 750 Ml JDF charges 40 RS extra, Mcdowell VSOP 375 15 RS extra.and this is not specific to single TASMAC outlet, everywhere the same .Considering the sale in each TAsmac outlets, governement or anti corruption officials has to taken strict action as this huge money is laundering illegally, not accounted anywhere in the market .

This is daily loot at any outlet of Tasmac.They are regularly charging rs10 extra on beer, Rs 20 extra on every bottle of whisky, Rs 10 on half bottle.
Today i had purchased two bottles of Kingfisher beer priced at Rs120 each from the outlet on LB Road, near BSNL Signal at Adyar but was charged Rs 130 each.I have taken the photograph of the person & can send it to you.
Please stop this loot.
This money is going to the employees there.They do goondagardi by talking nonsense.

Dear Sir/Madam,

The Staff members in every TASMAC shop in Tamil Nadu, are selling the liquor bottles atleast 5-10 rupees above the price notified by the TASMAC ADMINISTRATION, in a CO-ORDINATED WAY( nexus between the staff). You know very well about the no of bottles sold in a shop. For example if you take the number of bottles sold in a single shop as 5000 bottles, please calculate the amount being exploited from the public in a single per shop and thereby all over Tamil Nadu. This much amount is not only exploited from the public but also BLACK MONEY IS ALSO GENERATED to the same extent. They are selling spurious duplicate liquor also, and mainly sold brands are sold not to the public but to the attached bars where they are sold in an inflated price. The details of atrocities in the attached bars require atleast 100 pages.

(For. e.g.)

Total No. of TASMAC SHOPS IN TAMILNADU = 6821

Just for calculation if we take a minimum of 6000 shops, and a minimum of Rs.5/- excess as black money, per bottle

(1) Minimum black money generated in a single shop in a single day = Rs(5 * 5000)=Rs 25000/-

(2) Minimum black money generated in 3000 shops in a single day = Rs ( 25000 * 6000) = Rs.[protected]/-

(3) Minimum Black money generated in 3000 shops in a single year = Rs (365 *[protected] =Rs.54, 75, 00, 00, 000/-

Vow! an whooping Rs.5475 Crores!

This may atleast double if other atrocities commited by the tasmac staff like selling in the black market, selling unauthorised and duplicate spurious alcohol in place of original ones

This can not be seen in any of the Govt run shops in Kerala or Maharashtra or other states except Tamil Nadu.

Since, the Staff members of all the TASMAC shop are united and coordinated in an inseparable manner, they are not at all bothered about the complaints which are made against them. They are doing other atrocities also and Bluntly they are telling "go where ever you go, and do whatever you can."

Since the drunkards have no other way except to accept them, they are buying with pain. Drunkards are all not rich and drunkards are all not rogues they are also having their own heart. The Government should please look into their concern atleast for the money they are paying, and with a kind heart.

It appears to the common man that even the district collector is also not having any hold on these matter, that is the image projected by the TASMAC staff members, with lamy excuses.

Dear Sir/Madam, this may seems to be minor matter, but it is not like that, this is a scam running into crores, and a silent poison.

The Staff in TASMAC SHOP IS EARNING MORE THAN A GAZETTED OFFICER, ENGINEER, AND EVEN COLLECTOR but the difference is only It is black money, no body seems to bother about it. Time may come when the school going children may aspire to become a TASMAC STAFF MEMBERS, for the purpose of earning in these way.

Already this matter is matured long before. It is high time to act now before this issue is burst.

We have raised this issue several times with the concerned authorities but to no avail, and thereby raising many doubts.

i think after seeing all complaints have been made, and people pretend to have taken some action. but this involves people from top to bottom actors. some people like anna hazare should come to lead the fight. Recently the T N Govt. has rounded off the prices in order to avoid the employess not to take the balance amount which they refuse to pay back to the customers and to increase the revenuve to the govt. I am residing at Avadi-Chennai.In Avadi area all the TASMAC shops are charging the liquors more than the MRP.In case of Beer, the cost of one beer is Rs.68 but they are charging Rs.90 per Beer.

When I asked simply they are telling here it is like that only.If one beer itself they are cheating Rs.22 means per day collections from this extra amount where it is going...

Really what Government is doing.Many times I complained.Few days back also I have complaint to Mr.Boophy TASMAC Inspector ( Avadi ).He said ok we will check.But still no improvement. I think the part of extra amount is going to him also.

Normally people are interesting to have Beer, but due to the high cost they are going visky/ brandy which is having more alcohol content which are reducing people life time.

So take necessary actions in this.

Whether the Govt. or concened quarter has taken any action?

Two TASMAC shops avaialble here, Margin in beer the TASMAC employee hold is 10 INR to 20 INR per beer exceeding the MRP, bought a beer (KF GOLD PREMIUM) MRP 65 INR for 75 INR. This rate is common for both shops, they do work under mutual understanding. These guys tease us like anything else, I'm ready to get to Consumer court, but without bills I' be teased there too...

Beer sales is just a example, there are lot of other like Golconda wine quarter is 60 MRP, but sold from 70 to 80 INR, full is 235 MRP and sold from 250 to 280 INR.

What am I suppose to do?
I don't mind paying 10 INR more, but why is there a MRP?
Why don't somebody explain these guys what MRP is?

iam living in ambattur the same problem is on for the one beer they are charginr more than Rs.20/- that not in cooled condition this govenment and the tasmac low level to top level are robbers and beggers the tasmac shop man is asking for Rs. 2/- extra for one bottle is this goverrment will come if jayalitha will come to cm post you gys will have severe problem.

I have laready wrote a letter with acknolwdgement due to cm cell and other departments regarding this will wait and see.

The Staff members in every TASMAC shop in Tamil Nadu, are selling the liquor bottles atleast 5-10 rupees above the price notified by the TASMAC ADMINISTRATION, in a CO-ORDINATED WAY( nexus between the staff). You know very well about the no of bottles sold in a shop. For example if you take the number of bottles sold in a single shop as 5000 bottles, please calculate the amount being exploited from the public in a single per shop and thereby all over Tamil Nadu. This much amount is not only exploited from the public but also BLACK MONEY IS ALSO GENERATED to the same extent. They are selling spurious duplicate liquor also, and mainly sold brands are sold not to the public but to the attached bars where they are sold in an inflated price. The details of atrocities in the attached bars require atleast 100 pages.

(For. e.g.)

Total No. of TASMAC SHOPS IN TAMILNADU = 6821

Just for calculation if we take a minimum of 6000 shops, and a minimum of Rs.5/- excess as black money, per bottle

(1) Minimum black money generated in a single shop in a single day = Rs(5 * 5000)=Rs 25000/-

(2) Minimum black money generated in 3000 shops in a single day = Rs ( 25000 * 6000) = Rs.[protected]/-

(3) Minimum Black money generated in 3000 shops in a single year = Rs (365 *[protected] =Rs.54, 75, 00, 00, 000/-

Vow! an whooping Rs.5475 Crores!

This may atleast double if other atrocities commited by the tasmac staff like selling in the black market, selling unauthorised and duplicate spurious alcohol in place of original ones

This can not be seen in any of the Govt run shops in Kerala or Maharashtra or other states except Tamil Nadu.

Since, the Staff members of all the TASMAC shop are united and coordinated in an inseparable manner, they are not at all bothered about the complaints which are made against them. They are doing other atrocities also and Bluntly they are telling "go where ever you go, and do whatever you can."

Since the drunkards have no other way except to accept them, they are buying with pain. Drunkards are all not rich and drunkards are all not rogues they are also having their own heart. The Government should please look into their concern atleast for the money they are paying, and with a kind heart.

It appears to the common man that even the district collector is also not having any hold on these matter, that is the image projected by the TASMAC staff members, with lamy excuses.

Dear Sir/Madam, this may seems to be minor matter, but it is not like that, this is a scam running into crores, and a silent poison.

The Staff in TASMAC SHOP IS EARNING MORE THAN A GAZETTED OFFICER, ENGINEER, AND EVEN COLLECTOR but the difference is only It is black money, no body seems to bother about it. Time may come when the school going children may aspire to become a TASMAC STAFF MEMBERS, for the purpose of earning in these way.

Already this matter is matured long before. It is high time to act now before this issue is burst.

We have raised this issue several times with the concerned authorities but to no avail, and thereby raising many doubts.

I hope you will be pleased to take appropriate action immediately without delay.

He Says this is not Govt wine shop this is my owned shop upto my Duty.

Hi this is Suresh from Tirupur, I am very much worried about the burglary maly by the employees of selected shops here. They are demanding money more than MRP rate printed, thirdrated beggers they can go and sit at 4 conners and do this job. If we refuse to pay they say our high officers has instructed to collect the same and we to give it to them which goes to the ministers. Is this true? If so approximately for one day they sell around 500 bottles of liquors 500*5=2500*30=75000.00 this is for one shop calculate the monthly income from all the tasmac shops ... who is enjoying this public money...no one dares to take action...mainly at gandhinagar 60 feet road this hapens when will justice hapen to people...pls rescue people...

I found in Ramapuram wine shop (Tasmac) in Alwarthirunagar area ( particularly very often at the wine shop near Omsakthinagar, Ramapuram main road) charging more than MRP rate person name Mr.Mohan.
