Tata AIG Insurance — insurance claim delay & unprofessional service

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing this letter to formally register a complaint regarding the extremely poor and unprofessional handling of my motor insurance claim by TATA AIG.

My two-wheeler Aprilia Storm 125 (KA 51 JH 4341) met with an accident on 23 May 2025. Immediately after the incident, I applied for the insurance claim with all required documents. However, the claim was approved only after two months of delay.

After approval, the repairing work was completed at the service center, and I paid an amount of ₹27, 830 on 28 August 2025 to collect my bike. I was informed that the insurance reimbursement amount would be credited within a week, but till today I have not received any payment.

The surveyor assigned to my case, Mr. Abhishek, has been completely unresponsive. I tried calling him several times, but he never answered my calls. When I contacted the toll-free customer care number, they informed me that they tried to call me multiple times — but I never received a single call from TATA AIG.

Due to the lack of response from your team, I personally visited the TATA AIG branch in Bangalore almost daily for nearly one to two months, hoping for a solution. Finally, I was told that my claim would be reopened and settled within one week. However, even after two more months, no update or payment has been provided.

This experience has caused me severe stress, financial difficulty, and a complete loss of trust in your service. The negligence and unprofessional behaviour from your team is unacceptable.

Therefore, I request you to:

Immediately process and settle my insurance claim amount of ₹27, 830, without any further delay.

Provide a written explanation for the prolonged delay and the non-responsiveness from your staff.

Take strict action against the concerned employees responsible for this mismanagement.

If my issue is not resolved within 7 working days, I will be forced to proceed legally with higher authorities including IRDAI, Consumer Court, and Motor Ombudsman.

I hope TATA AIG will treat this matter with seriousness and resolve my complaint at the earliest.
