I have interviewed for a position with TCS, I cleared the technical and HR rounds. Post submission of my documents and getting them verified. I had a call with HR regarding package negotiation. She agreed to the requested package and said the offer would be released in 2 weeks post necessary approvals. Post 2 weeks I followed up to check and got to know that they are not proceeding with the offer citing reasons that there is deviation in the expected and released offer, if that was the case why did they even discuss the salary and sent me interim breakup. Is it not first discussed internally on the upper cap before having negotiation with candidate. Later said that the position is closed and we are hiring anymore and I can try for other positions. With these vague responses I am not sure what the actual problem is? Parallelly a different HR was asking me to upload the documents. I am not sure on what is happening and it is disheartening to see that they ditch you last moment. This affects your morale and your career plans.
This is highly unprofessional behavior, as I have never seen any company not releasing offer after discussing salary and sending salary breakup over e-mail. Was this information helpful? |
