[Resolved] Tata Docomo — Unfair payment request by Tata Docomo.
I wanted to cancel my Tata Docomo connection for which I had raised requests[protected] and[protected]. On both SR, the case was closed without authorization on my end. Now Tata Docomo is requesting that I pay bills outstanding after I put in the request for closure. Extract of email: Mr/Mrs/M/s. DIWAKAR.S. Ref No:Aug-2014/Amnesty/1989 Sub:- Full and final settlement of your Relationship No:[protected] regarding Tata Docomo MDN no: [protected]. Dear Sir/Madam, We thank you for choosing Tata Teleservices Limited as your telecom service provider for TATA Docomo brand. At the time of applying for the aforesaid telephone connection, you had agreed to make payments of the periodic bills raised by Tata Teleservices Limited upon you by the due date in respect of the availed services. Based on your assurances, we have allotted a Tata DoCoMo phone connection bearing no. [protected] to you on a duly executed Subscriber Application Form and other related forms/documents and account ID was allotted to you. You availed best of the service/s provided by us after activation of the said phone connection. Presently, we find from our records that a sum of Rs.2754 /- remains outstanding in your account as on 16th Aug 2014, .However, in spite of the receipt of the said bills, you have failed to make the payment to clear the outstanding amount, despite our repeated requests and reminders. Due to the non-payment of our legitimate dues, our company was compelled to disconnect your aforesaid connection. We would like to inform you that we have launched an Amnesty scheme for condoning the delay by the customers, who have defaulted in clearing their outstanding dues by the due date with our company granting immunity to them and accordingly they will be spared from legal action, if they clear their dues during the Scheme period. The amnesty scheme is open till[protected]. Since your name is also featuring in the list of such customers, who have not paid their dues, we suggest you to participate in this Amnesty Scheme, whereby the quantum of relief to be extended to you would be 50 % and 50 % only would be claimed from you (excluding interest), as full & final settlement of your account with us. However, if you fail to avail the scheme and still do not make the payments, as stated above, during the operation of the scheme, our company will be compelled to take necessary legal action against you, for the recovery of the complete outstanding amount along with interest, at your absolute costs, risk and consequences. Through this letter, we are giving you a final opportunity to avail the scheme and clear your account by just paying 50% of the total outstanding, i.e.Rs.1377/- within the scheme period to avoid any inconvenience and embarrassment, However, in case you fail to pay the aforesaid amount by the prescribed time, our company shall have no other option, but to initiate appropriate legal action against you for the recovery of the said amount along with interest, at your absolute costs, risk and consequences. Kindly look into this matter. I do not want to pay such a company which prides itself is harassing the consumers thus. Rgds, Ninad Was this information helpful?
