I booked a Tata Punch EV Empowered+ S40 (Oxide) from SGA Motors, Coimbatore, on 14 April 2026. My order number is SO-SgaMot[protected].
At the time of booking, I was promised delivery within 8–10 weeks, which would have meant delivery by approximately mid-June 2026. The delivery was subsequently committed for 15 August 2026. Neither commitment was met.
As of 21 August 2026, it has been 129 days (18+ weeks) since my booking, and I still have not received the vehicle or been provided with a firm and credible delivery date.
During the delay, the dealer provided different explanations regarding the status of my vehicle. I was initially told that the delay was due to flooding in Sanand. Subsequently, I was told that I am 7th in the queue for the selected colour, with six customers ahead of me.
Despite these explanations, I have not been given a clear production/allocation status for my specific order, a firm allocation date, or a reliable delivery date.
I escalated the matter to Tata Motors, and a formal complaint was opened on 17 August 2026. As of 21 August 2026, the complaint remains unresolved and I have not received a substantive resolution or firm delivery commitment.
I request Tata Motors and SGA Motors to:
1. Provide the current status of order SO-SgaMot[protected].
2. Confirm whether the vehicle has been allocated or scheduled for production.
3. Provide a firm and realistic delivery date.
4. Clarify the basis for the delay explanations provided by the dealer, including the Sanand flooding explanation and the colour queue.
5. If the selected Oxide colour cannot be delivered within a reasonable timeframe, provide an appropriate alternative without unfairly penalising my original booking date or queue position.
I am not seeking cancellation at this stage. I am requesting Tata Motors and SGA Motors to honour my booking and provide a transparent and concrete resolution to this prolonged delay.
