Dear sir,
I recently purchased a packet of "tata salt lite" from metro cash and carry. but within 10 days the salt turned black and the container also smudged black. i had stored the sale in a tupper ware plastic container. please let me know the side effects on our health by consuming this salt. i am intending sending the salt to a nearby lab. however, i am using a new packet of tata salt lite. but i want to make sure that consuming this is not injurious to health.
Please let me have your reply forthwith.

Consumer is advised to take the sample to District Designated Officer (Food Safety) Bengaluru for filing a complaint and testing.

I had purchased a pack of Tata Salt from Spencer's and this happened even in my case. I had stored the salt in an air tight glass container and after about 2 to 3 days, I noticed that the salt had turned blackish. This is the first time that such a thing happened in an uninterrupted period of about 20 yrs o[censored]sing Tata Salt. Please tell me what can be done about it.

I purchased "Tata salt plus"from Amazon now online store but within 1 week the plastic container we are having for salt storage for more than 20 years turned black and some chemical smell is coming from it

We have purchased Tata Salt Iodine recently from supermarket, when adding this with curd rice we noted this turned out blue. We afraid to see so, not sure what we can do. Thinking of sending the same to near by laboratory

I have received a video where workers are packing salt under very unhygienic conditions and they are packing salt of some other brand as tata salt. I dont know about location.
