[Resolved]  Tata Sky — super lnb cost - 1200!

I have tata sky hd+ box with inbuilt dvr (3 years old purchased set - subscriber id-[protected]). I was facing no signal issue for all hd +1 channels and in case of recording 2 simultaneous programs the recordings were not happening while company claimed 3 recordings with new firmware upgrade. Today i raised an work order with tata sky - wo#12fg4il4 for service to address the same as i normally always go for annual pack (Including hd access with transfer) while still not able to utilize the basic services for which i was paying.

Post analysis, technician told me to replace the lnb as my dish had universal lnb instead of super lnb and this will cost 1200 rupees! I discussed with him that if this was the lnb which should have been for hd+ set-top box then why did they installed the other type of lnb earlier? Moreover such replacement shouldn't cost as the earlier one was not faulty/damaged. But all discussions went into vain and finally i had to give him the money he was asking but took its bill. Technician told me to contact him directly instead of raising request with tata sky. My suspicion got stronger when he cancelled my previous work order stating its resolution is more than the normal hours hence he cancelled it and he himself raised another work order with wo#12fub1bg and marked it as resolved.

My expectation here is that such cancellation of work order is not right and since for my set top box (Hd+ transfer) it was supposed to be super lnb then why do i need to pay 1200 for it. Moreover why did the earlier dish (Complete new connection) was installed with in compatible lnb. My recording and channel viewing experience was fine initially but got worse in past few months post software upgrade and introduction of third recording (T3 signal bar). This included frequent picture freezing, sudden no signals and partial/incomplete recordings.

Please take actions at the earliest and revert the amount.

Tatasky executive from nodal office contacted and took details over call. Once validated, on the same day they recharged my account equivalent to cash amount that service technician took.
Tata Sky customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.

Very bad service from tata sky.I have complained to change LNB into super LNB.After involvement of the most senior officers they failed.

pathetic tata sky.Worst service.plz do not buy tata sky.
I have the same problem and the technician is saying the same thing that if you replace through tata sky, you will have to pay 2k, however I can personally do it for ₹1000. Please suggest what to do. The current LNB is working just fine and I should not pay for the new LNB

I am unable to watch many channels for which I am already paying money, because of TAta Sky’s problem. This is clear scheme to take extra money from consumers.

On 31st two persons came for new connection.my requirement to tatasky custormer was super lmb for 2 connection (one for hall and 2nd for bed).the two persons who came for connection took 3660 rs stating we have put super lmb.after a week i was not able to view any one frm the two tvs.i complained regarding and technician was send on 11th july he went at terrace and told the previous who visited on 31st did froud as no superlmb was installed but the single camera is local not original .frm that day i am calling and putting complain but no use.now my latest complain no is 2c9qnfqn.i have that froud person number and there photo i tried reaching him but he first blocked my number but he came today 5th September but did nothing and gave us bad words as we raised voiced to do the needful. I told him if he can't install super lmb then to return my money .he stared raising his voice and ststing will not do .i took his bag frm him and told that he will get his bag only when he get superlmb.he said i will not live u, u will soon see the circumstance. Pls help me out.need to talk to higher atority regarding this matter.pls ...this technician is very bad .
