I have opted for the binge box, but do not use the service as I have direct subscriptions to Amazon, Disney Hotstar and Zee 5 . I have a recharge pack for regular tata sky channels as well.
On the 4th of November one of my family members opened the binge screen and clicked on a movie. TATA SKY immediately sent me a message confirming that I had subscribed for this service and debited 299 from my balance. There is no confirmation pop up to say that you have not subscribed and await my input to proceed.
When I called Tata Sky and complained, they dropped the package but refused to refund me the amount.
This is pathetic that a company like TATA can scam customers by getting them subscribed for a service without consent.
If the software has the ability to understand that I have not subscribed and send me a notification that I am subscribed, then it should have the ability to notify me before activating the subscribtion. Was this information helpful? |
