Tata Teleservice Limited — Non cancellation of account in spite of repeated requests and demand for payment of services not rendered | |||
We had got a New Tata Docomo connection in June 2015. The connection worked for around 10 hours and then stopped working. We had raised a complaint with customer care who gave us a time on which the technician would visit. No one came on the given time. After this we had asked customer care to close the account. I had also emailed Tata Docomo to close the account. I got a reply saying that the request needs to be mailed from registered email id. However, Tata Docomo had not asked me for any email id while applyiing for the connection and had filled some random email id on their own. How am I supposed to send a request from an email id that I do not own? After multiple phone calls for about a month Tata Docomo finally accepted the request but demanded settlement of outstanding amount for 1 month. I clearly told Tata Docomo that we will not pay any amount as the connection was not even active for half a day. In spite of this they kept harassing me by calling daily and demanding the amount. Now I have got a legal notice demanding outstanding amount of 2 months and return of equipment. Why should I pay charges for 2 months when the connection was not even active for 12 hours and Tata Docomo failed to rectify it? We had also asked them for proof of any data usage form our connection for which they are demanding the amount. They have not given us any proof. Was this information helpful? | |||
