Date of Incident: 27/10/2025
Boarding Point: MGBS
Requested Destination: YMCA
Ticket Issued: Afzalgunj to Chikkadpally – ₹25
Bus Route: 1Z/251
Service Number: 1152
Details of the Incident:
I boarded the TSRTC 1Z/251 bus at MGBS and requested a ticket to YMCA. However, the conductor issued a ticket from Afzalgunj to Chikkadpally, charging ₹25. When I questioned this discrepancy, he responded rudely, stating that YMCA and Narayanaguda are “request stops” and only Chikkadpally is a main stop. He then escalated the situation by making personal remarks such as “Do you know how to read?” and sarcastically suggesting I should issue tickets myself to understand the system.
He continued this behavior by narrating our conversation to other passengers, which was humiliating and unprofessional. When I asked why the ticket was issued from Afzalgunj despite boarding at MGBS, he had no valid explanation and claimed it was “as per the system.”
This behavior was completely avoidable. A polite explanation would have sufficed, and I could have deboarded immediately. Instead, the conductor chose to provoke and embarrass me publicly.
Request:
I urge TSRTC to take disciplinary action against the conductor involved and ensure proper training is provided to staff on passenger interaction and ticketing transparency. Such behavior undermines public trust in TSRTC services. Was this information helpful? |
