The Great Vacation Club — Customer exploitation with additional charges

This is a complaint against the travel agency named The great vacation club (HTTP://thegreatvacationclub.com/).

We were planning our tour for Kashmir and found this trave agency online. Mr Virat was the point of contact for this tour. The initial quoted amount for five nights and 6 days of kashmir trip was 39000 INR with 3000 INR cashback. With 25% at the time of hotel booking. 25% before the trip and rest of the 50% during the trip. We were initally told that we would be provided with complimentary flower decorated room and candle light dinner for honemoon couple along with the promised hotels. We were asked to send 15000 initially to book hotels, which we straight away did. The flight tickets cost to and fro for srinagar was told 21000, which we sent straight away. After two weeks, Mr Virat calls and tells that the ticket prices have hiked and additional charges of 5200 has to be sent. We then told virat not to book until we confirm the booking (price was 22k when we checked online). Mr Virat then calls and tells that tickets are booked and we need to pay 5200. When we asked him about booking the tickets after our confirmation he blabbers some ### and forwards the CALL TO some manager who is still more impolite than this fellow. When we requested to see the tickets whether they are booked or not he doesnot send the ticket and asks us to pay additional charges and tells that he can send the tickets only when additional charges are paid. But in reality he did not already book the tockets and is falsely telling about hike in ticket price and demanding additional money. When we sent additional money..he then went onto booking ticket and sent us the ticket. When we asked about how come the ticket date is later than the date we paid money when has already booked the ticket, he then started talking nonsense. Before ten days of the teip he calls hundreds of times and demands full payment before the trip contradicting to the initially promised payment structure of part payment. We were actually busy in our wedding arrangements at that time. We even got warning messages of cancelling the trip if we dont pay the full amount. We thought any how we are going to pay why not pat now and transferred full amount before the trip. To our misfortune our flight got cancelled and we had to shift the first day of trip to additional last day. Mr Virat told that he will take care of the hotel and not to worry. On the second day of the teip he suddenly tells we are supposed to pay additional 11800 as tax. When we asked him avout not informing regarding the tax from the beginning he bluffs and tells that he had already informed us about the tax. Even if its tax, it should be 18% but this Virat demanded 30%. And When we againg asked him about shifting the first day of the trip he demands additional money of 4000k for last day. But we argued and told that tax is only 18% and we can only pay 2000 for last day. We had transferred 9200 as for 7200 as 18% gst as per government norms and 2000 for hotel shiftment. On the last day of the trip he blocks the hotel checkout and demands additinal 4900 which is not accounted at all. When we told the hotel management that we already paid the hotel amount along with additional 2000 for shifting the first dag to last day, the hotel management tells that Virat has not paid the hotel amount and had not informed tht shifting of hotel at all. We were told by virat that the hotel management is asking additional amount to shift when he did not inform them in first place. We had to pay that amount and checkout. The cab driver demands additional one day charge as he had already come to srinagar airport as he was not informed by Virat regarding the cancellation of the flight on first day. We had requested that GST bill which we have not received yet. We were fraudly charged 5200 during flight ticket booking, 2000 for additional hotel shiftment, 11800 as additional amount for tax. And had not received the cashback whoch was promised. None of the promised complimentary things were provided.

We did not have peace during the trip. And it was not cool to exploit the CUSTOMERs. I request the officials to kindly forsee the issue and need a copy of the bill with gst and demand remubrsement of the exploited additional amount. Such fraud and exploiting companies should be banned for better CUSTOMER experience.
