I have subscribed to The Hindu newspaper on their website and made payment for 6 months. My subscription id is [protected]. I have not received the newspaper initially for almost a month. After a lot of follow up and mails, I finally started receiving the newspaper and the agent promised me that they would supply the newspaper for 1 year because of the inconvenience caused. The supply was very irregular. I have raised a lot of complaints by calling the customer care and also spoke to the agent. From the past 20 days, I have not been receiving the newspaper. I have called the customer care, sent emails but the problem is still not sorted. Also, I started getting messages that my subscription is going to expire which means they are not going to supply the paper for 1 year.
So, effectively, on subscribing for 6 months, I have got the supply only for 3 months.
It is just useless to rely on the company website or any kind of subscriptions. Best thing to do is to get a regular supply from a local vendor. By doing this, we can pay the bill based on the supply at the end of every month. Also, I have lost total interest in buying or even recommending The Hindu to anybody.
