Thinkonik — fraud/cheating/duping/loss of money/

So as it was a lockdown period, and i had not much to do.. I thought of applying to a work-from-home to earn a little money. I registered on quikr to get notifications on the jobs available.

The next day, i received a call from a person from thinkonik.. Who said you have been selected from quikr and we'll give you this job at the concession. You just got to pay a mere amount of rs. 500. He asked for my details as the aadhar card and photo. I provided all of them. But this person was even reluctant to reveal his name..

So he provided me the data entry work which was of about 15 pages... Saying for each page, i would get a payment of rs.150 which would amount to rs.2250..

As the week passed.. I had finished completing the work.. And submitted it as i was directed. And then this person again calls me up saying, "you have done a very nice work, good work, so the company will be paying you an amount of rs. 3250 (Rs.1000 as an incentive). But to get that rs. 3250, you have to pay us a amount of rs. 2000, which will be refundable. So all in all you will receive a total of rs.5250. Please make the payment fast. And we will credit your amount in less than an hour." and i made the payment expecting the refund to be made.

After making the payment.. The person stopped responding to my calls or the whatsapp messages

So all in all.. I have been duped, framed and had a loss of about rs.2500 and a week's time and hardwork spent in completing the work..

So it's a humble request for others to not fall into this.
Secondly, would also want the consumer complaints office to please take necessary steps on the same

All this money is been transferred to a person named lakshmeeshajs sagar, google pay number - [protected].

When i contacted lakshmeeshajs sagar through call he did not respond and then when i contacted through whatsapp - [protected], he said he would refund the money back and immediately blocked me on whatsapp and when i contacted him through google pay messages he kept on saying that he would refund it for sure.

I request the consumer complaints to please help me in getting the refund of inr 2, 500 and also take necessary action against these people so that they cannot fool anybody else going forward.
