I have paid Rs. 399/- vide cheque no. 222724 drawn on centurion bank of punjab on dated 15/2/09 for one year subscription of The Times of India newspaper. The cheque has been given towards order no. RTOY 3108427 to RRE Mr. R. Yadav (code R01193) of lake town depot. I did not get the coupen booklet even after four months of the cheque payment which was debited in my account 23/2/09.

You are requested to please do the needful urgently.
I have subscribed TOI chennai edition and I had paid RS 299 from ICICI bank cheque two months back but i could not received any coupon from u so u are requested to send the coupon on my following add:

    Myself, Prasanta Choudhury, a reader of TIMES OF INDIA, when called to Times Of India's staff on 09/06/2009 at 4:15 pm for booking of one year subscription, he rejected my appeal. When I asked him reasons, he not only behaved very badly with me and but also suggested me stop reading Times of India. To lodge a complain, then I called to your Kolkata office, where I was suggested by receptionist to call to higher aouthority. When I communicated to that gentleman (higher authority) everything, he had literally supported their staff's stand and refused to listen my quetch.
    This is not at all expected and they should show some professional evince while dealing with readers.

    Times Of India News Paper — DELIVERY ISSUE

    Dear sir,

    my order number is 2075664, really i am very tired to complaint every time at your chennai office.That my paper is not came. he will come fifteen days correctly and suddenly he not come for three days or four days. my complaint to your chennai office from past three months, they also said. we change your vendor, but still not happen any thing. i think vendor is selling the paper out side, minium my paper is not came for one month, your chennai office is saying me that in coupen you right how many days they not came. but they to come for token right. they not coming for taking a token also. same thing my other paper is coming correctly.if it is like this only then really i not addvice any one to take toi paper, i request please take some action on delivery issue .todays my complaint no. is 118506, Thank you

    Times Of India News Paper — Non Delivery of Paper

    Sir,
    I am an advocate and i am residing at F4, Ganesh Complex, 57th Street, Korattur, Chennai-600080. I have booked the times of india news paper for one year under coupon system. At the time of booking your agent told me that on producing the coupon the near by book-shop will deliver the paper. But when approched the near by book shop owner for my paper; they said that they have no intimation about deliver the paper to us. So kindly take necessary steps to deliver the paper to us.

    I had complain 3-4 days back about cheater company which is not come in the newspaper.My name is Akib. I have Vodafone connection since very long last 15-16 years.Since being the oldest customer Vodafone dealer S.K.Marketing .Andheri(E) called me up saying that there is a scheme in which they will provide me a VIP no which has a premium but free of cost. I bought one more postpaid connection from The team Leader of S.K.Marketing Mr Rahul and the representative who was attending me Mr Ashwin.They gave me 6 VIP nos to choose([protected]/[protected]/[protected]/[protected]/[protected]/[protected]) I chose [protected] and asked them if there is any extra chg. They said there is nothing extra only Rs 299/-.They sent one of the representative filled up the form & took my documents & chq after confirming the number. The chq is already credited in their a/c. Till today I did not receive my card and they dont receive my calls, neither return my chq & documents. If I call from different no sometime they say they call back later, sometime they put down the phone.Two of my Known people was also been cheated by another dealer for Vodafone connection.This I complain to Vodafone complain centre in my 1st E-mail. Then in my 2nd mail I gave them the details of my cheque.There was no result.So I warned them that I will highlight them in news paper.The matter is still lingering without results.Please help me to Highlight S.K.Marketing & Vodafone complain centre(Rupali Dhumal & Nisha Alwaris Lobo)

So we have good relation. Also we are ready for deposit but the person not given a copy to us. If You really want help us than I will send detail of your new customer who are really want to be your customer but some incontinency from the Vijapur (City) Agent they could not be Your Customer.

    Subject: Complaint against new Car Swift VXi (Non ABS)(UP 16 X 0884) Paint peel-off and dirt in Paint

    This is to notify you that I, Bhaskar Sinha, purchased a Maruti Suzuki Swift VXi (Non ABS), color-Black, from ROHAN MOTORS, NOIDA on May 24, 2009. Since the first service, my car is having paint problem. The description of the problem is as follows:

    1. The Paint is coming off and fading entire Bonnet and Diggi. The color has faded and there is a lot of dirt in the entire car body. Apart from the Teflon Coating for which Rohan Motors suggested me, from the very first day of the purchase from ROHON MOTORS, NOIDA, there is no change in my car exterior body paint. The Teflon has already been applied 3 times and there is no result with the shine, the color is extremely bad and the Bonnet and Diggi can be easily notified if matched with the entire body of the car. I complained about this problem to ROHON MOTORS, NOIDA from where I did the purchase, they always say that yes there is problem and we will do the buffing with the Teflon Coating. The coat of Teflon has already been applied 3 times on my car and the problem is still one and the same. There are BRISTLES marks all over the car; even the BUMPER has these BRISTLES mark. My whole car which is just 2 months old looks like a 7 year old car.

    2. They also say that they are ready to paint the car.

    3. I have a question which I am talking very seriously. As an MBA, I am working with a multi-national company; my father is a government servant, working with Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. Our Company use to purchase many cars from ROHON MOTORS, NOIDA. We still have a Black Dzire and an SX4 in our colony and none can be seen with such bad paint job.

    4. We did not provide money to ROHAN MOTORS, NOIDA for the car to RE-PAINT the car. The car is only driven 2130 kms and in exactly 2 months have passed since I purchased the vehicle from ROHON MOTORS, NOIDA.

    I have complained regarding this matter several times since the first service, and ROHON MOTORS, NOIDA does nothing regarding it.
    I request Consumer forum to please help me get this issue resolved.
    I am in very pain since I purchased the car. I complained all the offices of MARUTI, even I sent postal couriers, they do not do anything, please help me out, I will be really thankful to you Consumer forum.

    Times Of India News Paper — New subscription

    I have made payment for 2 subscriptions each Rs.175/- on 12th Sep 2009, till now no action has been taken and not even a single paper received at home. Lodged complaint on[protected] and spoken to the executive on his mobile no:[protected], also spoken to Area Manager, but nobody turned up till now. Need reply in this regards

    I have exchanged 21 e.mails with your chennai team. The issue is this-I had subscribed for TOI for i year to commence from 14.10.09. The vendor began supplies for a period of 7 days(vendor has given impression to your team that he had supplied paper for 3 months which is denied) and then discontinued stating that TOI had not forwarded the voucher to him.I had discontinued supplies of The Hindu and several vernacular magazines with the local vendor who is naturally peeved. I had taken up this issue on several occasions with your local rep MrBalaji who spoke to the vendor and resumed supplies from 14.4.2010 only.I sought a confirmation from your local office that supplies of TOI will be continued for i full year from 14.4.2010.To this I have had no response in spite of exchanging 21 emails with your team. I wish to get confirmation that I will be receiving copies for the full year.This is not the sort of service or response I expected from TOI who initially asked me to contact their local representative.I told then that service was discontinued for no fault of mine by TOI and wanted restoration for the full term.Request you to instruct your local team to sort out this matter immediately.

      I am residing in Gurgaon. The name of TOI Delhi edition distributor is M/s.Sharma Agencies. I understand he has managed to obtain monopoly in the area we are in. The collection representative of this agency is very rude and his behaviour is worrysome. He seems to be mentally disturbed and we had noticed his emotional imbalances very frequently. We had complained about this to Mr.Pawan, owner of the agency. Despite of several complaints, he has not taken any action. Last two days, he stopped circulating the paper without assigning any reason. I am giving below my address :

      i hav been subscribing the times of india, the subscription scheme of 6months is over the news paper agent/ the representative of the times of india of this area( i stay in vivekanandanagar, p&tcolony, hyderabad 500060) mr.ravikanth his mobile number is [protected](this person's name & mobile is given by your hyderabad times of india office)despite my many calls to him which i've been doing for the past more than one month is not responding, he has even no courtesy of attending/lifting the phone call,

      now i'm rethinking to shift of other newspaper like deccan chronicle or etc,

        1. I am securing news paper through a local service provider in Banjara hills, Road no4 area, HYDERABAD
        2. I take Times of India and Economic times - a combi.
        3. I notice that Price quoted on ET that states that cost of the paper is Rs 4 ( along with times of india). This rate is superscribed on the paper i get (which states that this price is applicable for home delivery in HYDERABAD along with times of india)

          Hi,

          This is Chaitanya from Chennai. I had 1 year subscription for TOI newspaper last year and even renewed it for this year too. I was residing in Ekattuthangal (Kalaimagal Nagar) till March and shifted my house to Porur area (kovur on Kundrathur road) and i have lodged a change of address request with TOI. This has been processed and the new address has been updated in TOI records. It has been almost 2 months and i haven't received news paper to my new residence till date!

          I have lodged many complaints with Customer care/dealers and even directly spoke with executive but in vain. I am not getting value for what i paid and the TOI customer care is the worst one who doesn't take responsibility and retain customer's trust.

          I am very much dejected calling TOI people once in 2 days to be served for what i paid. somebody pls let me know the address of TOI office in Chennai, i want to go to their office and speak with the concerned executives directly and see what response they give!

          This is shishir limboo and I have a 1 year subscription for Times of India since October 2009 but I paid my amount from my friend account as I did not have debit card or check facility so may be the subscription in his name Bikash sharma but main thing is that I am not getting newspapers in proper way.
          The Vendor name is Mr: NIkhil and he is saying that due to low man power in our area he is not able to delivered News paper in proper time as result he gives newspaper at interval of 10 days and some time more than a week and another thing he gives The Telegraph news paper in that lot which is completely useless for me.
          I will request to you please look into the matter.

            Hello Sir,
            We have been an avid reader of the most prestigious brand of newspapers, The Times of India. We live in Durgapur.but i am forced to say that whatever news kolkata edition gets today..we get the same news the next morning..On several cases, many news items are repeated on the 2 pages with exact amount and and volume of words supported by footage.The Kolkata edition though recieves several supllemtns like Kolkata times, kromosome and many others on several occasions.. We on the other hand get nothing...still the price remains same.Cos of this reason..there has been a recent decrease in the TOI readers here...Please increase the volume or reduce the price.

              Sir/Madam,

              I have not been receiving the daily edition of "Times of India" newspaper for almost 10 days. It just stopped abruptly on 13th of April 2009 with no reason whatsoever inspite of having a subscription valid till September 2009.

              I have been trying to contact the customer care department and they said they would solve this within 48 hrs, But it has been a week since then and no action has been taken till now and we are yet to receive the newspaper.

              Meanwhile I have tried reaching the customer care again but in vain as it is answered by their voice response system and I never get to speak to any of the representatives.

              It is disheartening to see the level of customer service provided by a banner like "TIMES OF INDIA" and I now completely understand why people hesitate to "SUBSCRIBE" and choose the local newspaper agent instead.

              I sincerely hope that some action would be taken in this regard, though I doubt.

                I, Ravi kumar chugh, subscribed Rs.999 offer for India Today Book club (Invoice No: ORA[protected], Order no. 0GA[protected], (Order date 18 Jan 2009),
                for some CDs, Reebok purse and keychain & one free gift holiday voucher for 3 days 2 nights free stay & meal for a couple.
                I am newly married and my main motive to apply this offer is to avail the free holiday voucher for a pleasant honeymoon trip.
                I asked atleast 5 times on 5 phonecall before subscribing this offer from India today book club executive --that is this all covered in Rs.999. Will i have to pay more. He or she everytimes replied Yes Sir, its absolutely free and real and you will not be paying anymore for that.
                But the real fraud comes when i open the package and read the document inside it that -- free meal is not valid for most of the preferred location of North India like Shimla, Manali, etc.
                I somehow managed myself with that but this is not enough.
                When i download the holiday voucher, it asks to pay a cheque of Rs.800 to Indiahotelreview.com
                I cannot bear this total fraud.
                So i didnt pay that --and felt myself cheated.
                With Rs.999+800 to pay in total. i can go myself private. Then whats the use of subscribing this offer.
                God knows that if anyone else except India today has offered this, i will not subscribe.
                Shame on it that such a reputed organisation cheated customer on phone
                They say different on phone but the reality is different.
                I married on 21st Nov. 2008 and till date i didnt went on my honeymoon just because i have shortage of funds.
                I have much much to say and i cant stop myself but still am stoping here.

                Hope u can understand my feelings and take proper measure. Atleast i want to get my Rs.999 refund for that. And a huge penalty for this fraud against TOI which should be credited to Indian Govt. a/c
                I fully agree with Mr Ravi Kumar Chugh. Times of India has done this to me as well. At the time of launch of their book club they have asked Rs.399/- for membership and a free book worth Rs.300/-. I waited for six months and on my letter with details of cheque number and bank details they asked me to submit the statement showing clearance of cheque as they did not have any details of the same.

                I've not sent details to them. Thank God I'd just sent them the lowest subscription money. However, from then onwards I have not purchased anything from them either through direct mail and / or internet as I don't have time to follow up with their inefficient / unresponsive customer service.

                  have subscribed femina on 23/12/08 for one year & had paid cash of Rs 520/- (receipt no 36626). i was told the subscription would start from 23/1/09 however i did not receive any copies till feb. On repeated followups thereafter, I was told that Femina had misplaced/ lost my receipt and I was requested to fax the same. On faxing the same, I received one copy of March 11, 2009
                  & was told it starts from march 11 by Ms Mita V but thereafter haven't received any copy. On calling up, the response given was that my subscription shall only start from April 22 . They have the audacity to tell me that because you have made the payment late your subscription shall not commence. This was conveyed to me by Mr. Sandeep. Why? Haven't I paid money in December. Am I not entitled to suscriber copy before it hits the market.

                  I request you to take this issue up on priority basis and begin my subscription immediately. This attitude of Femina staff has left a bad image and impression of the magazine and request the senior management to sack the incompetent staff who do not realise the meaning of customer service

                  I have subscribed for femina on14/7/10 receipt no 15821 and was told that the magzine yould be delivered from next month but I have not recived the same and on calling the given nos no one is responding, one day some one picked up the phone but now no one picking up the phone.

                  please advice me what to do your contact nos. when will my subscription start.

After passing one and half months no magazine has been delivered so far..                     i shashi ranjan have taken a subscription of the times of india and sunday times of india, chennai edition f for a period of 12 month at Rs.299/- on dated 07/02/09.
                    VISHAK was the person who gives me that subscription on dated 07/02/09. He told that "your subscription period will starts from 15/02/09 onwards and it will be valid for 12 months & we are providing door step services for customer convenience ."
                    but i'm not getting any paper till now.
                    i have called several times to VISHAK & other helpline numbers of times of india, but didn't get any help.
                    now they are ignoring my calls.
                    so kindly help me and punish the faulters...

                    You are supposed to contact your newspaper agent and ask him to deliver the Times of India newspaper. It does not automatically come to your doorstep. you need to tell the agent to drop the newspaper at your door and also tell him that you will be paying using the TOI coupons. Hope this clarifies the matter.

                      So many complaints!!!
                      Do these people really solve them??? Is it worth to mail them these complaints?
                      This mail is to bring into your notice that the distribution agents are not delivering all pages of the newspaper and pilferage on large scale is going on. I was a regular reader of your newspaper but since a month I have stopped taking it as the paper is never complete. Here I am talking about newspaper delivered in Dasna, Masuri, Jindal Pipes ltd. of western U.P. region. I am not sure as to how many more readers you’ll lose if you don’t take immediate steps now. The distributor name is Ram Babu in Dasna & agency name is Ajay newspaper agency.

The vendor didn't distribute news paper properly.I ask them many times and i gave lot of excuses too.But they are continuing the same thing. They said some stupid reasons,Initially they said i put paper in .Then some times they said temporary boy forgot. Then some times they said the boy went to out station. Later i ask them to put the paper inside the home via window suppose if i am not in home. The boy accepts the deal. But he didn't distribute news paper for 2 - 3 days every month.

                      I am not able to tolerate this. I hope you people will take some necessary action and respond my mail.

Virtually he has been exploiting this situation to his advantage despite several complaints by the residents in and around this area. He has been monopolising and indulging in unfair trade practices....

                        Since yesterday 2/18/2009 the TOI epaper site displays an advertisement that cannot be skipped. You cannot enter anything into the address bar because epaper.timesofindia.com overrides whatever you may want to type into the address bar.

                        I read your article posted on Jan 4th, 2010 "T surge on OU campus" in which you have mentioned that almost 80, 000 students managed to make it to the venue. I strongly disagree with your view. I was present at OU campus on the day and i can say that more than 1.75 lakhs of students were present. How can you say that only 80, 000 students were there. This is just unfair. Next time, i will expect more transparent information for which you are well known. Pls take note of this one.

                          Dear Sir,
                          My name is Swarup Bag. I live at 3/3444, Regharpura, Karol Bagh, New Delhi - 110005. I placed an order to Indiatimes shopping (through Times Of India Reader's Offer). They picked up the cheque (cheque No. 142988) amount of Rs.19, 149(inclusive courier charges). My product name is "Esys Trend Desktop + Free Webcam +Entertainment CD pack worth Rs. 3800" and product order no. is[protected]. I got the product only "Esys Trend Desktop" bill amount of Rs.17, 368 on 19th December, 2008, but I did not receive other products (webcam +entertainment CD pack) till now. After that I talked with their customer care executives several times and every time they told I would receive the product within 6 working days or 3 working days but I did not receive those products till now. When their field boy came to me for collecting check before sending me the products, then he provided me a recipt mentioning all products details with other details. Whenever I paid them Rs19, 149 (including Rs.350 of delivery charges) so I want other products as soon as possible mentioned by them.

                          Therefore, I am seeking your kind help and appropiate action against them to get the product at the earliest.

I've ordered Watch set of 4 N0s, I do received 4nos but found one chrono type watch which was really fake machine that too not working. 2.                           What about the quality of the goods offered and will it be possible to give a demonstration of the product and who will be the garenter of the product legely.
                          This is unbecoming of a reputed news paper organisation. How come they have not been able to ensure quality and quantity of the products, for which they advertised and received payment? The worst part is that even after repeated complaints, they do not appear to have set right the pobe sition. The matter should be referred to the Consumers Forum if the matter has not yet been resolved to the satisfaction of the customer. These views may please be conveyed to the supplying agency.
                          Hi All, how about now?? Did TOI changed the product quality ?? becuase till there are so many Ads running in the news paper.                           I ordered a sewing machine and food processor. Both failed at first use. Placed a complaint with Times of India. They promised to replace...no action taken. Sent escalation mail. Still no response.

                          Its time to realize that TOI is polluting our country with cheap China goods (both the products I ordered were made in a village of china). This is affecting our Indian industries. Their after sales support and response is zero. Also realize that all you have is a call center number and a mail id...there is nothing you can do to take penal action on them.

                          I am Yashwanth working in Biocon ltd, hosur road, Bangalore. last week of October 2012, I have ordered Onida-G133 Buy 1 get 1 offer mobile wit order number [protected].I received only one mobile in the courier pack where another mobile box was empty on 5th November 2012.
                          The same I have complained through customer complaint 6th November 2012 with complaint number 493193.
                          Please take this complaint seriously and send the left out mobile as soon as possible.
                          I bought this product, it got rusted after the first use. I contacted customer service to arrange a pick up...they promised that someone from the concerned team will call for a pick up, but no one call. When contacted, they claimed that, Mr. Alok and Mr. Chandrabhan, tried to call but the number given was switched off, no reachable and so forth, which to me is a 'BIG LIE". The phone number given was always available and was never switched off. I can't imagine how could a company runs lying to its customer. Now, they said they cannot do anything and its their policy. Hell with the Policy! I contacted them within 15 days to return the item. They never fulfill their promise and, now, they are talking about their policy.
                          Also, they will not allow to speak with a Supervisor..."supervisor busy with another call" as well as they will not arrange a call back.

                            Hi, I've subscribed to Times Of India for 6 months and paid all the money up-front. I live in Madhapur, Hyderabad. But we stopped getting news paper for more than a month now. The issue did not get resolved even after multiple complaints to the agent and TOI office. Earlier, it used to get delivered at around 8:30, 9:00 AM in the morning. When I complained about the timing, the agent said, complain only if you are not getting the news paper, but not about delays. Then after a while, we stopped receiving the paper altogether. It's been a month now and complaints to TOI office go in false promises of delivering from next day onwards. Now, even the TOI office number[protected] is not working. Could something be initiated against this as I've seen quite a few complaints in this category already?

                            The TImes of India — newspaper not delivered

                            past of one month the news paper not issued, even after i made complaint phonecalls reg the nondelivery there no result and information over the complaint.what the news agencies only advisers to other than them.i will trust toi if there is any responce through this mail.

                              my hindustan times subscription ended in nov 2008 & the vendor delivered the paper till jan & he is charging money for the paper which i did'nt order so he is cutting off the subscription from times of india from which he can make the money and the TOI is not renewing my subscription for the next 6 months.

                                Now i have shifted my home to some other location, but when i tried to call times of india people on the nos provided at the receipt for changing my address no one is lifting the phone.

                                From past one week i have been trying, but no response.

                                Very bad service i will never take this paper in my life again.

                                  Till date (01-Feb-09) we have not received the news paper.                                   Wrost Customer Service at Hdfc Bank Credit Cards Hyderabad - I am one of the extermely dispointed customer of HDFC Bank Credit Cards Hyderabad.

                                  I had to pay rs:4600 for not doing a transcation at HDFC BANK... I had been calling bank since last 6 months asking for clarification on the dispute transcation.. they never give me clarifcaiton or explained the procedure to raise the dispute..

                                  Now they came back stating that their records do not indicate receipt of any written communication from you seeking clarification on the above charges.

                                  Classical example of Wrost Customer service and also very nice way to cheat customers.

                                  I have been calling to call center from 2008 asking for clarification on outstanding, nobody told us anything about dispute process. I have learnt from Swathi now that I will have to raise a dispute for the transaction in 2008 itself.



                                  It is not my mistake if you guys don’t tell me the right information when I have called earlier.



                                  a) She said that the disputed amount can’t be revised back and I will have to make the payment even if I have not done the transaction. This is ridiculous to expect payment on transaction not done by customer.



                                  I have already stated that I have erroneously made the payment of rs: 4000 on this card.



                                  If RBI says customers are liable for payment even though they don’t do transaction then I can only comprise to pay rs: 2000 (transaction debit) on this card and would want all the other charges to be revised and wants the credit of rs: 2000 immediately back from the rs: 4000 payment made by me on the card.



                                  And please don’t give me any contacts numbers …… I am frustrated with your contact services.



                                  If you want I can talk to someone in person because it seems in HDFC bank on Telephone nobody wants to take the ownership to resolve the customer issue rather just want to escape from it …….

                                  couple of weeks back Sai Rupendra called me and told that some brand factory debit on my card but i have not done that transcation.. while i was communicating this to him.. call got disconnected .. i tried reaching him again but he was never available to speak.. on the same day i happen to speak with latha .. she said no information available will call you back.



                                  couple of times i fainted becuase of this frustration.



                                  i have never done any transaction and want the detailed explanation of the above and i will not pay anymore.



                                  also, let me know the ombusman email id, i would like to escalate this issue to them as well.

                                    Since last 2-3 weeks in January 2009, we are not able to see Times of India Pune epaper. There used to be more than 8-9 cities in the epaper but now there are only 6 cities. Please someone from Times of India take a look at it or at least explain the disappearance of those cities epaper. Pune epaper is used by many puneites who are outside pune for many reasons. Also, Does someone have the email id of Times of India editor. Please let us know.

                                    I absolutely agree. Even my work for benchmarking has been affected due to the absence of the TOI epaper in Ahmedabad and Jaipur. I have tried calling them. Once they said that it was a technical problem which will be rectified in two three weeks, but now when i call them, they refuse to answer.                                     IT REALLY SHOULD HAVE SOME MEANING OF TAKING THE COMPLAINTS
                                    Three months from now ! The epaper is not available for the metro cities like Pune.Lucknow, Ahmedabad &some other cities.This is the condition of TOI media.On what basis they are calling it the no. 1 english daily.
                                    kindly let me know the e_mail addressof the times of india, pune.
                                    We are getting The Times of India Ahmedabad edition at Kosamba town Taluka Mangrol near Surat. It is observed that we are not recieving complete pages as prescribed on the newspaper.
                                    Hey is any body in there? Who can listen to the voices of people who are raising their requests inorder to serve their purpose...
                                    Print media is only intrested in sensationaling the events which are not meant for the audions.
                                    I feel ashamed of the role that the print media especially TOI. Is playing nowadays its gone worst than a Tabloid.
                                    Common is there anybody who can help our citizens to eradicate the crap about IPL, other controversy's which is taking place, enlighten the public about their roles to play for atleast say India will soon be called as one of the developed countries. Or is it just a dream which never be true..
                                    Shame about those Editors, journalists who only want to mint money, least bothered about the social welfare of the public.
