Readers of TOI at Ajmer are being deprived of getting the full contents of TOI everyday. we are not being supplied with Times LIfe , education times Jaipur times and also page 3 and the page with sudoku and othe puzzles and healthcapsule. we strongly protest against this discrimination amongst readers of TOI of different cities. We hope that you will look into the matter urgently and see that the missing parts are completed and the paper is supplied in full.

I have subscribe six monthly scheme of The Times of India and paid two cheques in favour of Bennet Colman bearing cheque no. 244758 dated 06/04/2009 of Rs. 100.00 and 244759 dated 06/04/209 of Rs.375 and both cheque honoured.

I have not received any coupon from their representative till today, when complain for the same got reply that i have given coupon to you at the time of getting cheque.

When i ask him about ulternate solution has told me routly no.

Now i am paying money after paying for the same.

I want justice not money.

Iam regular reader of TOI since 1980. Earlier we used to get TOI Mumbai edition in my city (Kolhapur).
The quality of paper was good till they started Pune edition. Both quality and quantity (no. of pages) is diminished. We are not getting value for money. The news are stale, any coverage after 10 P.M is covered after 3 days (that is today’s any event after 10 P.M is published in the news paper of day after tomorrow). Sometimes the articles are repeated.
Last week I had been to Pune. I brought 31/07 2009 paper containing 26 pages for Rs. 2 and 01/08/2009 paper containing 34 pages for Rs. 3. Please not that 31/07/2009 paper in Kolhapur consisted of 14 pages for Rs. 2 and 01/08/2009 paper in Kolhapur consisted of 14 pages for RS. 3!!!
So why discrimination between places from such reputed newspaper group? They are trying fool people of smaller cities or trying to fool themselves?
If Iam correct since two weeks they stopped giving even magazine sections in Sunday times!
I am planning to stop buying their paper.

It has been found that there is a variation between the printed edition and epaper edition of Times Of India newspaper (Mumbai). Both the editions do not match at all and the news in both totally vary. this is wrong and confusing for readers of both types. so what is the reason behind this and also the major question is about the accuracy of the two?

I had a yearly subscription of TOI-Kolkata. I want to renew it. I called the executive but he did not turn up. I browsed the TOI web-site but didn't get relevant information. Can someone tell what is the yearly subscription rate now and how to apply?

I am residing in Chandigarh, sector38/d. My name is Naresh Kumar.
I had subscribed to Times of india 1 year subscription and had paid the full amount.I subscribed for Times of India in May

2008. This was done by vendor's Son (Manu). The guy took the Cheque. my cheque was encashed. but I didn't get the coupons. I

asked him so many times but he ignored everytime. I asked the hawker to stop the newspaper as we had to shift.the hawker is

also rude. he missed many newpapers. The name of TOI vendor is "DHARAMCHAND Agencies". he has very rude behaviour. he doesn't

allow to any other hawker to make connections.He has managed to obtain monopoly in the area or sector 38/A, chandigarh.He

seems to be mentally disturbed. I called him for getting back my coupons as we had shifted from that location, he started

talking in abusive language. after that i called to TOI Office, chd. even after my complaints the vendor was succeed to

encashed my coupons. I called to the Head of TOI chd.but I am not satisfied with his answer. so Customer is not satisfied.

[protected])...i subscribed to times of india english newspaper for one year (the second year) from 14 april 09 to 13, april 2010 by cheque no. 601867, dt. 15/02/2009, for rs. 299/=, drawn on indian overseas bank, rajaji bhavan branch, besant nagar, chennai 600090...this has duly been drawn by you...a small problem...the vendor's coupon given by your agen has been misplaced by me and is not traceable...the vendor M. Saravanan, is pressing hard for the coupon as he has claim it from your organisation...in view of this i request you to kindly provide me with a duplicate coupon to solve the problem so that the vendor is not put to loss and i can continue reading TOI...kindly advise and help...

To the concerned authority for the fraud transactions taken place on my CC

This is the mail that I have mailed to the bank to inform about the fraud transactions but nothing has happened so far. Every three months I receives call from the recovery agent threatening to clear the dues or else I have to face the toughest task.

Respected Sir,

I, V Narayan Namboodiri, SBI Card No.: [protected], is forwarding the complaint/ dispute e-mails to bring to your kind notice that a fake transaction of online airline booking has taken place through my SBI CC on November 3.

So far I have sent end number of emails to the bank but there has been no response. In return the bank executives are making phone calls and are being harassed.

When I contacted the bank to fill the dispute letter, the bank informed that two fraud transactions have taken place on my credit card booking airline tickets from Bangalore to Mumbai.

Few months later I received bank statement showing the third fraud transactions of Rs 8, 500 which the bank didn't informed me. Now the bank has added interest for the last two years are sending the statement. Even the executives are calling to do settlement. Which I am not going to do?

When the transaction occured I was in the hospital along with my wife who delivered baby girl on November 1, 2007. For which I have the proof and can produce necessary documents. Despite repeated complaint made the bank remained silent without informing the number of fraud transactions taken place on my card.

When I called the bank executives on November 9, 2007 the officials informed me that it is not the bank's duty to inform anything about the transactions. It is compulsion that whenever I receive the CC statement I should clear the dues without inquiring or questioning the bank.

Surprisingly, it is the second such transaction that have taken place through my SBI CC between June 21 and November 3.

First fake transaction was done to get "STC Sawa Recharge Riyadh", which the bank has reversed the transaction after going through the dispute letter forwarded by me.

Now, the second problem had arisen. When I called the bank's customer care on November 21 to know the current status of my SBI CC, I was shocked to hear about another fake transaction that taken place recently in this month.

I have used the card only once to buy a computer early this year. This is the only transaction done. The computer was purchased from Kalyan.

As part of the banks investigation procedure please check the Kalyan transaction done for purchasing the PC. Possibility seems that the person may have acquired my card number.

Finally, I will not be reimbursing any amount/ sum which the bank has done in the fake online transaction taken place through my card. Also, I have blocked the card.

To bring to your notice, If I receive any call, email or statement letter from the bank. Then I will file and sue the bank in the court for "harassing" me. Meanwhile the matter will be published in the newspaper about the banks negligence because of which such transactions are taking place.

So, if I get a call or letter from the bank I will considered as a legal proof of harassment and will submit it with the Mumbai Crime Branch and the court.

A case of defamation will be summoned against the bank.

I have paid Rs. 399/- vide cheque no. 222724 drawn on centurion bank of punjab on dated 15/2/09 for one year subscription of The Times of India newspaper. The cheque has been given towards order no. RTOY 3108427 to RRE Mr. R. Yadav (code R01193) of lake town depot. I did not get the coupen booklet even after four months of the cheque payment which was debited in my account 23/2/09.

You are requested to please do the needful urgently.

Myself, Prasanta Choudhury, a reader of TIMES OF INDIA, when called to Times Of India's staff on 09/06/2009 at 4:15 pm for booking of one year subscription, he rejected my appeal. When I asked him reasons, he not only behaved very badly with me and but also suggested me stop reading Times of India. To lodge a complain, then I called to your Kolkata office, where I was suggested by receptionist to call to higher aouthority. When I communicated to that gentleman (higher authority) everything, he had literally supported their staff's stand and refused to listen my quetch.
This is not at all expected and they should show some professional evince while dealing with readers.

I am residing in Gurgaon. The name of TOI Delhi edition distributor is M/s.Sharma Agencies. I understand he has managed to obtain monopoly in the area we are in. The collection representative of this agency is very rude and his behaviour is worrysome. He seems to be mentally disturbed and we had noticed his emotional imbalances very frequently. We had complained about this to Mr.Pawan, owner of the agency. Despite of several complaints, he has not taken any action. Last two days, he stopped circulating the paper without assigning any reason. I am giving below my address :

This is Chaitanya from Chennai. I had 1 year subscription for TOI newspaper last year and even renewed it for this year too. I was residing in Ekattuthangal (Kalaimagal Nagar) till March and shifted my house to Porur area (kovur on Kundrathur road) and i have lodged a change of address request with TOI. This has been processed and the new address has been updated in TOI records. It has been almost 2 months and i haven't received news paper to my new residence till date!

I have lodged many complaints with Customer care/dealers and even directly spoke with executive but in vain. I am not getting value for what i paid and the TOI customer care is the worst one who doesn't take responsibility and retain customer's trust.

I am very much dejected calling TOI people once in 2 days to be served for what i paid. somebody pls let me know the address of TOI office in Chennai, i want to go to their office and speak with the concerned executives directly and see what response they give!

We have been an avid reader of the most prestigious brand of newspapers, The Times of India. We live in Durgapur.but i am forced to say that whatever news kolkata edition gets today..we get the same news the next morning..On several cases, many news items are repeated on the 2 pages with exact amount and and volume of words supported by footage.The Kolkata edition though recieves several supllemtns like Kolkata times, kromosome and many others on several occasions.. We on the other hand get nothing...still the price remains same.Cos of this reason..there has been a recent decrease in the TOI readers here...Please increase the volume or reduce the price.

Sir/Madam,

I have not been receiving the daily edition of "Times of India" newspaper for almost 10 days. It just stopped abruptly on 13th of April 2009 with no reason whatsoever inspite of having a subscription valid till September 2009.

I have been trying to contact the customer care department and they said they would solve this within 48 hrs, But it has been a week since then and no action has been taken till now and we are yet to receive the newspaper.

Meanwhile I have tried reaching the customer care again but in vain as it is answered by their voice response system and I never get to speak to any of the representatives.

It is disheartening to see the level of customer service provided by a banner like "TIMES OF INDIA" and I now completely understand why people hesitate to "SUBSCRIBE" and choose the local newspaper agent instead.

I sincerely hope that some action would be taken in this regard, though I doubt.

I, Ravi kumar chugh, subscribed Rs.999 offer for India Today Book club (Invoice No: ORA[protected], Order no. 0GA[protected], (Order date 18 Jan 2009),
for some CDs, Reebok purse and keychain & one free gift holiday voucher for 3 days 2 nights free stay & meal for a couple.
I am newly married and my main motive to apply this offer is to avail the free holiday voucher for a pleasant honeymoon trip.
I asked atleast 5 times on 5 phonecall before subscribing this offer from India today book club executive --that is this all covered in Rs.999. Will i have to pay more. He or she everytimes replied Yes Sir, its absolutely free and real and you will not be paying anymore for that.
But the real fraud comes when i open the package and read the document inside it that -- free meal is not valid for most of the preferred location of North India like Shimla, Manali, etc.
I somehow managed myself with that but this is not enough.
When i download the holiday voucher, it asks to pay a cheque of Rs.800 to Indiahotelreview.com
I cannot bear this total fraud.
So i didnt pay that --and felt myself cheated.
With Rs.999+800 to pay in total. i can go myself private. Then whats the use of subscribing this offer.
God knows that if anyone else except India today has offered this, i will not subscribe.
Shame on it that such a reputed organisation cheated customer on phone
They say different on phone but the reality is different.
I married on 21st Nov. 2008 and till date i didnt went on my honeymoon just because i have shortage of funds.
I have much much to say and i cant stop myself but still am stoping here.

Hope u can understand my feelings and take proper measure. Atleast i want to get my Rs.999 refund for that. And a huge penalty for this fraud against TOI which should be credited to Indian Govt. a/c

have subscribed femina on 23/12/08 for one year & had paid cash of Rs 520/- (receipt no 36626). i was told the subscription would start from 23/1/09 however i did not receive any copies till feb. On repeated followups thereafter, I was told that Femina had misplaced/ lost my receipt and I was requested to fax the same. On faxing the same, I received one copy of March 11, 2009
& was told it starts from march 11 by Ms Mita V but thereafter haven't received any copy. On calling up, the response given was that my subscription shall only start from April 22 . They have the audacity to tell me that because you have made the payment late your subscription shall not commence. This was conveyed to me by Mr. Sandeep. Why? Haven't I paid money in December. Am I not entitled to suscriber copy before it hits the market.

I request you to take this issue up on priority basis and begin my subscription immediately. This attitude of Femina staff has left a bad image and impression of the magazine and request the senior management to sack the incompetent staff who do not realise the meaning of customer service

i shashi ranjan have taken a subscription of the times of india and sunday times of india, chennai edition f for a period of 12 month at Rs.299/- on dated 07/02/09.
VISHAK was the person who gives me that subscription on dated 07/02/09. He told that "your subscription period will starts from 15/02/09 onwards and it will be valid for 12 months & we are providing door step services for customer convenience ."
but i'm not getting any paper till now.
i have called several times to VISHAK & other helpline numbers of times of india, but didn't get any help.
now they are ignoring my calls.
so kindly help me and punish the faulters...

This mail is to bring into your notice that the distribution agents are not delivering all pages of the newspaper and pilferage on large scale is going on. I was a regular reader of your newspaper but since a month I have stopped taking it as the paper is never complete. Here I am talking about newspaper delivered in Dasna, Masuri, Jindal Pipes ltd. of western U.P. region. I am not sure as to how many more readers you’ll lose if you don’t take immediate steps now. The distributor name is Ram Babu in Dasna & agency name is Ajay newspaper agency.

Since yesterday 2/18/2009 the TOI epaper site displays an advertisement that cannot be skipped. You cannot enter anything into the address bar because epaper.timesofindia.com overrides whatever you may want to type into the address bar.
