Hi,
I Purchased TVS Apache RTR 180 with ABS last ten months back at Sri Sai TVS - Lingampally , Medak district. Iam facing some problems from last two months, my bike rear wheel disk break was blowing big sound, iam informed and show the bike at show room,they are told with me this is Manufacturer defualt so we change it. iam visit show room many times they told that Next week, Next week......when i was visit show room Next week, Next week..........But no use.

TVS APACHE RTR 180 ABS — ENGINE PROBLEM

I am Jasim from kollam,I purchased Apache RTR 180 ABS.I have a lot of problem on my bike like head sound, vibrating,sound in back disc break etc Omraj TVS kollam workshop mechanic can't solve my problem .my contact no. is [protected].
Did you try calling TVS directly to complaint about the service center?

If no then do it. If TVS too cannot answer your query, then file a case against both the service center as well as TVS.

I hope you already have all the documents like a written & stamped receipt that Sri Sai TVS received your bike on this date with this problem and estimates time of delivery etc. These people are very smart. To show that they are not at fault, they postpone the date of bike submission in their records, so that even if TVS asks a question, then they say 'Sir abhi to bike aayi thi... aur itni jaldi isne complaint daal di... blah blah!'

We trust them so much, and they can play with u like hell.

When I went to book a car recently at Auto Vikas Chevrolet, Dwarka, Delhi; they cheated and got my signature on a non-cancellation form which says I cant cancel my booking. Booking amount was Rs 25K. Now you tell me, who will be such a fool to sign this form. I dont remember exactly, but I think when I inquired "what is this form" He casually said that it will help u cancel the booking.

I have got 20K of it back after much delay though. But ever since, I never trust anyone when signing on any document before I've read it completely and all the details are filled by me and insist on written receipts every time.
My vehicle APACHY RTR ABS 180 (TN 22 CB 6194), Left today for Monthly service @ M/s RamKey TVS Velachery Service Station.

M/s RamKey Service center Suggested / advised to replace Front and Rear Disk Pads and wheel bearing on against payment, Reason for having the problem with the rear disk, and front Disk and wheel bearing. The scratching sound is also coming and also facing pickup problem.

Reason: Due to Quality related issue / Manufacturing defects of Break Disk PADS

I bought 1 year and 3 months back and moreover I am a single person using this vehicle. Used only 9500 Kms.

How QC assessment /Test reports on Disk PADS Quality. Any advice from your technical persons? Any compulsion to replace every 9500 Kms. (Like Changing Engine Oil /sprocket chain assembly) There is no indication on user Hand Book about the Life Disc Brakes Life

    Hi I bought TVS Apache RTR160 on 01/07/2010, from ANJANADRI TVS Kanakapura sub dealer of Bharath TVS Bangalore, I was giving for service regularly but I faced problem in engine gear box that called center Bering not working properly I dint run not even 22000 KM. Regarding this issue I have reported to TVS Customer Care center but no response from them this is worst service they are giving. Finally I spend Rs.5000/- from my pocket to solve the problem. My sincere advice to them if they are not ready to solve the customer problem better pull your shutter, and start some other business which cant harm to the customer.

      i have owned the tvs apache rtr bike in the year 2013, the perrformance of the bike seems to be little good but the engine is, , when i travelled to a short distance for 10 km, my bike engine is getting very heat, , please suugest me, what i have to do, , to solve this
      issue in my rtr 160

      2500 rupi cheating

      I have taken tvs sport byke by lfinance but . the finance d amount 35900 and the down payment is 20190 but the dealer taken 22500 as down payment . how can he take 2500 extra

        Hi All,

        This is Murli from Noida.
        I had my worst experiance with TVS service service at Noida.

        I had problem with my Engine so i decided to had work on it.

        After a long thought i deceided to do it on TVS showroom at Noida "Aditi Automobiles, c-2, sector-10, Noida".

        When i reached at the shoroom on (14/04/2012) and show my consern regarding the problem i am having with my engine and told them to complet engine work, the persone told me that i can get my bike by the evening which was duly conformed by the owner of the showroom and i was told to come in evening to colect the bike. They take 5000 rs from me in advance, stating that they required advance payment for doing the job.

        I got a call in the evening that the bike will not be able to collect in the evening as they don't have some parts available at the showroom and will be available on Wednesday (18/04/2012).

        Wtihout knowing the inventory they operated my bike and then told me that the bike will not be available till Wednesday.

        Then on Wednesday when i called them to know the status of my bike they again told me that they still don't have the parts available at the showroom and again told that the bike will be available on 19th.

        So i am still waiting for the day to come when i will get my bike back.

        I would recommand every TVS users that do not go the Aditi Automobils, c-2, Sector-10, Noida.
        They are not aware about their inventory available at the showroom and missguide the customers.

          Have purchased TVS Wego in May'2011. The scooter was running well initially & then since December'2011 there is a starting problem being faced in the vehicle. The service advisor suggested us to take it to the Battery Vendor , we took it there he cleaned the battery & then it ran fine for about 3 months & now again there is a starting problem wherein it was taken to the battery vendor again, they took it with them kept it for about 4 days & returned it back it ran for a day & from the very next day onwards the scooter refused to start with the self start button, we always had to start it with a kick which is not acceptable at all for a female like me. I always had to be dependent on someone to start a scooter for me & then take it to work & in case if it stops in between them i m just helpless so started travelling by auto.
          A scooter which is not even a year old, is not expected to function in this manner. This is really bad. Kindly let me know what shall be done with my scooter now as I m really stuck now & have to shell out the auto fare daily to travel to office.

          I purchased a TVS WEGO scooter about 3 months back through dealer Harbhole Automobiles. Since the day of purchase there is some or the other MFG defect. Almost every week I am reporting some complaint to them and am now disappointed with the quality of product they have sold. The very first day there were few paint scratches which they said its normal and will be touched up and till today its not done. From the day of purchase every 25 KM the vehicle suddenly used to stop and need to kick 10 to 15 times to start it again. I skid and met with couple of accident due to this while turning. The silencer was replaced twice within first 2 months. And now due to scratchs formed initially the paint is peeling off and rusting everywhere and looking at its trend am sure there will be lot more issues in store in the future. I want that scooter to be replaced or better my money back..
          Register a complaint in the TVS shop were you purchase the vehicle or even you can elevate the issue to the company

          Ever since I bought a wego on Sep 2010, I am having problem with the battery and subsequently starting trouble and while running when the acceleration is released, engine stops. As per the dealer, vehicle came with a defective battery and till today, after 6 services, the defective battery is not replaced. Yesterday I had a miraculous escape in rush hour as the wego engine stopped near a hump and the car behind me was about to run over me. Trijal TVS, Bangalore is considerate enough to charge the battery every time I complaint to them, but that is not sufficient. Better to avoid this and go with time tested Activa

          i purchase TVS wego 8 months back from local tvs dealer, after six month i am getting problem in electric start , also chock in not working
          always i have to kick start,
          also scooter stops inbetween many time while running
          i am totally upset about the service i am getting
          i dont know what to do what not to do
          please help me out in this matter.

          2]average just 5 kms/1 lit.
          3]starter broken.
          Local dealer has been contacted many times without any appreciable result
          What to do now--buy back and give me another bike.

            it is with extreme disappointment, anguish and frustration that i am penning down this complaint. Just with the hope that things at cochin tvs motors would improve in due course of time. (my personal feeling though that this is highly unlikely). I have been having prolonged anguishing interactions with the staff at cochin tvs motors sales cum service centre. in fact, this is not my first mail complaining about the sorry state of affairs at thisoutlet. no action seems to be have taken on my earlier complaint as well!!!
            1. sales - i had the extreme misfortune of buying a tvs wego from this outlet in december. i had carried out extensive survey prior finalising on the product. how i wish i had done some survey on the outlet as well! The staff at the sales division is poorly trained (if at all any training is carried out at tvs, which i very much doubt now!) to handle customers. Besides the lack of language skills other than at malayalam, which is surprising since cochin is supposed to be cosmopolitan, the staff give an impression of extreme disinterest in selling any product. in fact, i even visited the mahindra outlet opposite this one and was impressed with the sales pitch there. how i wish i had bought their product! post sale relationship just worsens. i had to face a lot of hassles during the delivery with regards to registration and the delivery of the vehicle itself.
            2. servicing - this is the third vehicle i own, besides a motorbike from bajaj and a car from honda. and i have never witnessed such high levels of indifference at any other service station. no one seems to care for the customer. i cant imagine any other outlet treating its customers in this manner. coming to the specifics, i had given my wego for servicing on 13th apr, at 1020 hrs for servicing and was told that the delivery would be made at 5:30 pm the same day. at the appointed time i was shocked to find that the staff of two ladies at the counter was busy winding up for the day and gave no response what so ever to my queries regarding my bike. they just handed out a bill. when i enquired about the breakdown of the charges, no one could come up with any answer. moreover no one could communicate with me either in hindi ( which happens to be our national language) or english. finally i lost hope and decided to pay up the amount. when i flashed my credit card i was told that they don't accept cards! i was not surprised anymore going by the prehistoric mindset being displayed by the staff. when i proceeded to withdraw cash from the nearest atm, the staff had locked up the office and retired for the day!!! i was shocked to find all the shutters down!! this despite the staff being aware that i was withdrawing cash to pay for the servicing!!! and the next two days were declared holidays and i had no chance of getting my vehicle!!! finally, equally unruly behaviour by me with the last one on the staff who was about to leave ensured i got my vehicle yesterday!!! hats off to this organisation!!!

              Sub: Complaint Regarding TVs Apache RTR 160 Hyper Edge.

              Sir,

              I S.Syed Basha Owned TVs Apache in the Month of Feb 10, 2012. I noticed that 11/02/2012.On the Day Some Sound was absorbed in Silencer, after that on 19/02/2012 self & kicker both didn’t work properly. I have consulted to TVs showroom & Service situated in chittoor. They told the battery is problem. They changed the battery. Is there is any link to battery and kicker didn’t work properly. In 1 weak again the same problem raised. Now it becomes the major problem for me to rider vehicle. I gave vehicle to 1st service, before that I have noticed one more different sound in front. They told fork problem. They take the vehicle for one day to see the problem in the vehicle. They rectified that problem. Now I am facing another problem in my vehicle. In my vehicle side door is shaking I absorb the door and I ask to the service centre they told there is no stock rubbers. I told the problem when I bought the vehicle. I gave vehicle to 1st service I told the service centre they told there is no stock in the service centre. 2 days after I go to service they told same no stock in the service centre. I gave vehicle to 2nd service I told to change my door are solve to my problem. They change a rubber in the door the rubber is waste and it’s not a molded rubber. I ask the supervisor they told we change new rubber I ask once again the supervisor they ask to machine they told I change the rubber. After that they check the door and ask the spare parts centre they told there is no stock in the service centre. What is this there is no stock in the last 2 months in service centre. Then why are u sold spare parts. Now in my vehicle front there is a sound I absorb I told the service centre after I complete my 2nd service on 10/04/2012. The next day the sound I absorb in my vehicle. What is this? When I bought the vehicle that time to I am facing problems in vehicle the manufacturing is defect totally my vehicle is problem. Last time I complaint the problem is solve to me. Now what is this iam facing lot of problems in my vehicle? One more thing in service they responding late now. When I complaint they response good now they responding late. They told what problem r u facing we don’t know. I bought the vehicle they told first 5 services are free only u pay for oil only. When I go to 2nd service in vehicle plug rubber is problem to me I told the problem they change the plug they give bill to me. I called to the show room incharge (dealer) regarding this problem his respone is not good they disconnect my call.


              Finally what I want to say that.

              THE VECHICLE IS THE PROBLEM TO ME.
              I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE TO RIDE. NOT FOR GOING TO EVERY TIME TO SERIVCE CENTRE.

              Totally vehicle is the problem to me. I bought the vehicle to ride not for going to every time to service centre. So I am expecting form u that u will show me a solution to my problem. Totally the vehicle is problem to me. So I want replacement my vehicle.

              TVS — bike problem

                Dear Sir/Madam,

                This is regarding my worst experience that I had recently with one of your authorized dealership named Arunagiri TVS in Bangalore(near SilkBoard). I ordered for new Wego Gold color without front box on December 2011. They took a booking amount on the same day for Rs.500 and assured will provide the vehicle without front box by making a special order to TVS. But they did not call for a month. When I asked on January 2012, they said the gold color is not available then in February they said they cannot order a Wego without front box. In march 2012, when I asked for refund they said they have ordered a Wego without front box.

                Because of this worst response from them, I opted not to buy TVS Wego at all. Now when I ask for refund (because they cannot provide me a Wego without front-box) they say that they cannot refund the money.

                On the same day, I went to Ananda Honda dealer who is next to this TVS dealer. They provided an extreme customer service with proper technical details and I have booked a vehicle as well. I have a peace of mind in this purchase.

                I am really sad for such dealers of yours.

                  i have some problem in my bike(apache rtr 160) that is 10 months old. i bought this bike from sharda motors meerut. bike service date is 27/02/12. job card no. is 15300. so many times i went to service center for solving the problem of bike .but no solution is provided by the service center. before the service there is no problem in my bike but after service
                  problems are:-

                  1. noise of timing chain
                  2.noise in chain set
                  3 noise in engine
                  4.not running smoothly

                    With due respect I beg to state that I Have purchassed one TVS bearing Engine No AF1 K91201530, Chassis No: MD625 NF-1981 K64039 from M/s Motors Abohar, Distt Ferozepur (Punjab) on Dt.[protected]
                    2- Sir, they have put duplicatge Mobile oil in this TVS and while I asked then they become angry and I have declared out of bound from their premisses. Till date they have not given any service to my TVS star City 110 ESMW.
                    3- Sir, Please guide me that from where I have to got service of my TVS. I have approached MR. Abhinav, whose mobile No is [protected], and he stated that the service may be taken from other city like Malout or Fazilka, whereas these citias are far away approx 35 kms from my village: Bhagu, Teh. abohar.
                    4- I am being harrassed by M/S Vipul Motors, Abohar. Please pass the suitable directions to them for takeing necessary action in my favour.

I noticed that 11/02/2012.On the Day Some Sound was absorbed in Silencer, after that on 19/02/2012 self & kicker both didn’t work properly. I have consulted to TVs showroom & Service situated in chittoor. They told the battery is problem. They changed the battery. Is there is any link to battery and kicker didn’t work properly. In 1 weak again the same problem raised. Now it becomes the major problem for me to rider vehicle. I gave vehicle to 1st service, before that I have noticed one more different sound in front. They told fork problem. They take the vehicle for one day to see the problem in the vehicle. They rectified that problem. Now I am facing another problem in my vehicle.

                      Finally what I want to say that.

                      THE VECHICLE IS THE PROBLEM TO ME.

                      I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE TO RIDE. NOT FOR GOING TO EVERY TIME TO SERIVCE CENTRE.

So I am expecting form u that u will show me a solution to my problem. One more thing is that, with service centre I have no problem to me. They are responding good. Totally the vehicle is problem to me. So I want replacement my vehicle.

                        Dear sir,
                        I purchased TVS jive in 17/9/ 2010.After 6 months of purchase rust spots were observed on kick, silencer, guard and handle. The kick was replaced by the dealer.White spots are observed on the black alloy wheels which were checked by the engineer from TVS. He had taken the photograph of the same. Several time i have visited the dealer but he is not able to provide any solution of the problem.
                        What is to be done?
                        Will i never purchase TVS vehicle in future/suggest others also not to purchase it/ i will get the solution of the problem in the consumer forum.

                          I purchased TVS Apache RTR 160 From TVS Tayal (Faridabad). This bike has lots of problem. Major Problem is in its Engine. Engine was Repaired 5 times only in the time duration of 10 months. But still bike engine got lots of problem. When i m asking them for changing the Engine they r not taking it seriously and they are denying to replace engine.

                            My self Rakesh Mohanty and i have purchased a TVS apache from Sushil Motor, Cuttack on dtd 16.04.11 but last
                            10 days my head dipper switch and power on of switch given fault and due to this reason my 2 nos head light
                            burnt which cost is arround 150/- . But sorry to say that to replace that two switch i visit to TVS dealer Sushil Motor and
                            Arnapurna motor 3 to 4 times but they always says that they have no stock of that two switch and again re greatly say that
                            two nos minor switches are not available at TVS authorized dealer. So i dont expect this type of service from a leading TVS
                            Motor cycle manufacturing company.

                            I hope after receiving the complain TVS company take a necessary action,

                              I HAVE PURCHASED MY VEHICLE ON MARCH 2010, EVERYDAY I AM FACING PROBLEM WITH MY VEHICLE, 1. MILEAGE PROBLEM, 2.MISS FIRING SOUND 3.DURING RUNNING SUDDEN OFF, 4.UNWANTED NOISE FROM MY VEHICLE.
                              THESE PROBLEM I AM FACING, AND RECENTLY ON 15TH FEB'2012 I GAVE MY VEHICLE TO RAMKAY TVS, SPECIFICALLY I TOLD THEM TO CHANGE MY BREAK SHOES, BECAUSE IT ALSO MAKE HUGE KREECH NOISE, BUT RAMKEP TECHINICAL PEOPLE DIDN'T DO ANY THING. AS PER ASSURANCE BY THE TVS COMPANY, MILEAGE IS NOT SATISFACTORY. EVEN AFTER SERVICE JUST 35 -40KM ONLY MILEAGE, AND FROM TODAY MORNING MISFIRING SOUND IS STARTED COMING. MY VEHICLE IS 5YEAR WARRANTY, DURING THIS WARRENTY PERIOD COMPANY IS RESPONSIBLE FOR KEEPING THE ASSURANCE AS DECLARED THROUGH ADVERTISEMENT, AND MANUAL. FROM PRABHA TVS I SWITCHED OVER TO RAMKAY TVS FOR BETTER SERVICE, BUT RECENT SERVICE IS JUST WASH MY VEHICLE, AND APPLY COOLANT OIL ON TOP OF MY VEHICLE FOR POLISING, THATS ALL. EVEN AT THE TIME OF DELIVERY I FOUND OUT MY VEHICLE HANDLE BAR IS SHAKING, WHICH I TOLD THEM AT THE TIME OF HANDEDOVER MY VEHICLE FOR SERVICE. THEN I PURCHASED TWO RUBBER BUSH, AND ASK THE MECHANIC TO CHANGE IT. BEFORE THIS INCIDENT YOUR MECHANIC ARGUED WITH ME HANDLE BAR IS DULY SERVICED AND THIS IS SHAKE IS QUITE NORMAL. THEN I PROVED WITH ONE NEW VEHICLE WHICH IS IN SHOW ROOM. THEN ONLY HE ACCEPTED, AND HE CALLED THE MECHANIC FOR RECTIFYING THE SAME. THIS WHAT YOUR MECHANIC IS KNOWN.
                              NOW WHAT I HAVE TO DO? SHALL I GO FOR LEGAL PROCEDURE THROUGH CONSUMER REDDRESSAL FORUM FOR MILEAGE PROBLEM.

                                  I’m Dhananjay from Chennai, last year January 2011 I bought a TVS Wego bike. In this last one year 3 times they had changed the battery after a more struggle from my end. In the mid of November 2011, they had changed the battery on 3rd time. During the 6th Free service (17th Feb 2012) they found the battery is gone faulty and asking me to take the charge.

                                  During the last change orally they confirmed that battery will have 1 year warranty and they had given assurance that the problem will not occur again. For a safer side I requested to either fix the issue or to replace the bike (or Buy back). I made a complaint through email and called up TVS support center for lot of time, but not received a acceptance/reply mail from TVS.

                                  Today they call back and said I have to pay the charges for replacing the battery as the warranty got expired. As a consumer, it’s not possible for me to change the battery for 2 months once. My request is either they have to fix the issue in this vehicle or buy back.

                                  I request the support for closing this issue.

                                    I have purchase TVS Apache RTR 160 in 10th Nov'11, since purchase, I am facing problem beginning the 1st day in gear shifting and that is also in starting gear (1st Gear). Even after my religious follow up with TVS service station in A. bad, I have not found the satisfactory result; they have open the engine of Bike, three (3) times. I am very much disappointed with this.I want to replace the bike with new one / return of my money back to me.

                                      I have an Apache RTR FI. Overall the performance of the bike is very good but the parts & service is pathetic.Within 3 months after purchase the speedometer stopped working. I was informed it is not covered under warranty! And in any case the part is not available until a few days(which again will have NO WARRANTY). So I paid to get it replaced with my local mechanic who did it in 1 day WITH 6 MONTHS WARRANTY!!!

                                      Recently I went to give the bike to Vijay TVS for servicing coz the bike would not stop accelerating even after releasing the accelerator, plus the fuel indicator is not working. He told me to go to Siddhivinayak TVS as "HE DINT HAVE THE EQUIPMENT TO FIX THE ISSUE". So I had to travel all the way from Borivali(east) to Goregaon(west).Siddhivinayak TVS got the deacceleration fixed but got a few scratches on my bike. They just kept silent after I complained about the scratches. They also did not fix the fuel indicator & just told me that it's due to less petrol in the tank. I told them that even when there is over 7 litres petrol the indicator still does not work but they kept saying that it's due to less petrol. He also told me that RTR FI parts are in shortage and there was another bike waiting for over a week for a fuel pump!

                                      I really liked the bike but the quality of parts used and after sales service has led me to decide never to buy or recommend a TVS product again.

                                      One more thing I forgot to add... when I submitted the customer care form on the Contact Us link on the TVS website, I got this error:

                                      404 - File or directory not found.
                                      The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

                                      Just goes to highlight the incompetency of the company. I had much better service from Bajaj(I previously owned a Pulsar 150).

                                        Susheel motors is very good and large distributors of TVS in hyderabad but the service provided by them is very poor. I purchased my APACHE there and it is timely serviced (every two or two and half months post-warranty) with them since past 2 and 1/2 years. The supervisors unnecessarily suggests for replacement without even examining the faulted part which costs the customer more. Even the service charges they collect are much high. Many a times, I had to repeatedly go to them for the same problem. After multiple visits and escalations, they fixed it and this time they couldn't even fix my bike's engine problem.
