I bought the TVS Jupiter 125 Disc for my 66-year-old dad as a gift. He was using his old vehicle and my hope was to buy him a new vehicle, so it won't break for a few years and will operate reliably. We sold his Honda Activa that had been operating without a problem for over a decade and decided to buy Indian made. As a proud citizen, I decided to purchase the Indian brand to help and promote the Indian brand and purchased TVS Jupiter for my dad.
We got vehicle delivered on 20th October. The vehicle start having problems from the very first week and made cranking noise and stop on and off. The vehicle will work fine for about ~5 min but the noise will start again. This went on for a week and every time my father called the service center, they said it will be fine. It is a very bad service by the way, what type of vehicle does this and how is it normal. Moreover, on November 9th the vehicle stopped working on the way and did not start again even after having tried for 15 minutes. My father then called the service center again and they were so rude to him again. This time without even asking, service person assumed that my father did not refuel petrol tank. The service center rep started abusing and talking in misbehaving tone, saying that you must fill the fuel otherwise it won't work. This is a shameful act on the part of TVS Motors, my 66-year-old father manages and tows the vehicle to the service center at his own expense. And the service center said it's a minor sensor issue that we're going to solve but they took a day to fix it and gave us the vehicle on the 10th. The vehicle functioned well for two days and stopped again on November 13th. Same story repeated and now the service center took more than 1 week to repair. When my father asked the person on duty at the center, he said it's a sensor problem and another rep said that it has an engine problem, there's a lot of bad communication locally.
Now my 66-year-old father is fed up and does not want the faulty/defective vehicle. We paid the full price and why we are getting used defective and flawed vehicle, either replace it with a new vehicle or refund our money.
I always trust and believe that the Indian brand is identical or better than the international brand such as Honda Activa and others. We can build better vehicles and deliver better service. I am asking TVS Motors to investigate this issue and resolve the root issue and not let the brand name get spoiled. Or did we make mistakes in buying a TVS brand vehicle.
Please put an end to the old man's misery and solve the problem. At this age he should not be running to TVS Motors service center, he should be running to Temple on his brand new TVS Jupiter 125 Disc vehicle.
