Respected authority,
I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with the TVS XL100 bike I purchased on May 28, 2025. Despite being under warranty, the right shock absorber has been leaking oil persistently, and the service center's handling of the issue has been unsatisfactory.
*Details of the Issue:*
- Vehicle Details:
- Chassis Number: MD621BP25S2E08263
- Engine Number: BP2ES2X05753
- Vehicle Registration Number: BR07BJ7388
- Purchase Date: May 28, 2025
- Description of the Issue: The right shock absorber started leaking oil within a week of purchase. Despite repeated attempts to repair it, the issue persists. The service center promised to replace the frame under warranty but instead repaired it and charged me for the repaired product.
Actions Taken So Far:
I have visited the authorized TVS service center thrice for this issue. During the third visit(second free service), they acknowledged the warranty coverage and promised to replace the frame. However, they only repaired the shock absorber and charged me for the repair.
Relief Sought:
I request the Consumer forum to intervene in this matter and direct TVS Motor Company and the service center to:
1. Replace the defective shock absorber or provide a suitable replacement.
2. Refund the charged amount.
3. Take action against the service center for not adhering to warranty terms and providing transparent service.
*Supporting Documents:*
I have attached relevant documents, including:
- Purchase invoice
- Receipt for payment made for repair
I hope for a prompt resolution to this issue. Please guide me on the next steps and any additional information required from my end.
Sincerely,
Rajkumar Das
