[Resolved] Tvs Motor Company — service quality | |||
I bought a tvs sport in july 2017 from tvs kothari, in pammal. Initially it was running fine. But after second service, quite often, when my son rides the bike, the engine switches off suddenly and sometimes, after some time when we try to start the engine, it works but often it does not happen. We have to call the toll free number provided by tvs and wait for at least 1 hour for the technician to the place where the vehicle is stranded and after temporary fix, we have to take it the dealer for repair. In the month of february alone it has happened 5 times!!! Whenever we have the complaint, the vehicle is left with the service center for a day and sometimes it went up to 5 times. The vehicle is used by my son to go to university and because of this problem, there are days he was not able to go the university on time and thereby he has lost his attendance.in this regard i have sent two mail in the month of february 2017 (On 9th and 17th february) to kothari tvs and also to tvs motors and i am yet to get any reply from both of them. Meanwhile the problem continues and it happened on 3 may 2018 once again and my son was stranded in outer ring road and tollfree number was contacted. My son was informed that the technician found it difficult to reach the spot and my son was requested to bring the vehicle to nemelicherry circle so that the place is known to the technician. My son was made to push the vehicle for 2.5 km in the hot sun to reach the spot as requested by the said technician. But then still the technician had difficulty reaching the spot and my son was informed that some other technician will be asked to come to the spot from porur. But after waiting for 1 hour in the hot sun at a place where there is no shade, with no other choice, my son took the vehicle to a local mechanic and got the vehicle running and came back home. As this has been happening so often, when my son and my wife took it kothari tvs, for rectification and also asked for the service history record of my vehicle, kothari tvs refused to give them. This is in spite of the fact that i have asked the same previously as well. As on date nothing has changed apart from the accusation by the dealer that as my son requires a more powerful bike and hence he is coming out with all these false complaints. If it is true, i would like to know what kothari tvs (Once it was sent to another service center by kothari tvs) was doing by having my vehicle with them when i took them for repair? After buying 8 vehicles in the last 25 years, this attitude of tvs and their dealer is really disappointing. Hope tvs responds to this communication. - makesh Was this information helpful? | |||
