I have booked a ride from my home to airport which had charged me 190. Later on after 1 hr when again I booked an uber for returning home they charged me 400. How is it possible?? How can the fare for the same distance will vary this much??

Yes, they do that often. I've been a victim on several occasions. Also most often the drivers for airport trips never arrive on time. Best to avoid this service in times of emergency. They charge random fares and most often much higher than what they project.

Soo i want to know the reason
This is to report an incident with regard to today's ride I.e 13/11/2016.we took a ride from Indra Vihar to Sarojini Nagar and was ₹258.87 of which the amount was paid in full in cash .but we didn't get any message that the amount was paid..we again took a ride back from Dili haat to Indra Vihar and to our surprise the amount was 296.10(ride amount)+ 258.87 as (outstanding amount for which we had paid morning ride)..we were willing to pay the ride amount(296.10) but were reluctant to pay the outstanding amount 258.87 as we had already paid it and were not ready to be pay twice .the driver started threatening us but to his surprise we were not to be intimidated easily and took him to police station..it's a shame that Uber being such a reputed company doesn't even have a customer service and the problem could have been averted if you resolved the matter..

It means I was charged twice for the same ride
I HAVE BEEN CHARGED 3 TIMES THE NORMAL CHANGE AND NOW THEY ARE DENYING THE CHANGED CLAIMING ITS THE CORRECT ONE .
While booking its clearly showing fare will be maximum 124 rs, and they billed me 336 rs .
i am regualrly travling the same distcne and fare comes with 125 Rs max .
Just imagine whhat a big cheater are they and now claiming that si the right fare !!!

It's becoming a frequent feature when they project ride estimates and charge much higher at the end of the trip. Last one week I have been facing this on a regular basis. After you complain, they sometimes refund but yesterday when I tried to avail that refund on a ride it disappeared and they charged complete amount of the ride. Tried to enquire about where my credit amount disappeared they are sending totally out of context mails totally ignoring the main issue.
Most unprofessional company. I was charged double and that too twice. Fooling people. cheating people.
