Myself Vaibhav Sethi and I have a uber account associated with Mobile No. [protected].. on 16 Aug 2025 at 1:14 PM i have taken a Uber Intercity Ride from 37 Krishna Colony Jhotwara 302012 to Sector 1 Pushp Vihar, New Delhi 110017 along with my family. Driver name is Sandip Singh and Vehicle is Maruti Suzuki Ertiga having Registration No. is UP 16 LT 7858. Total fare of My uber ride is 2393.96. On the toll he has not taken any receipt and stated that he has got messages and will be shared when the journey is completed and i believed on him. during the journey i insist him to take a receipt of state tax but he said that he has messages of state tax also.
Now after completing the ride the driver has demanded me Rs 4319/- (2393 + 1926 for toll and state tax) stating that this amount is your ride total. I have told him directly that this is very high and i am not satisfied with the total fare and told him to verify the amount. In reply he became angry and said that he is not demanding any extra money.. i am enclosing the messages from which total amount he has taken from me adding 200rs for MCD tax.
In this connection, it is stated that UBER is directly responsible as he allotted such fraud driver for my journey. As i am reputed Central Govt. Employee in Ministry of Home Affairs, i cant fight with a driver for money and i have given him total amount of Rs 4300/-
As i am enclosing the screenshot of the WhatsApp messages received from the driver itself i can surely say that this amount is edited and fake.. the state tax from RAJASTHAN TO HARYANA for one way trip is Rs 100 only and he has taken away Rs 420 which is amount of monthly pass. The same applied for Rs 470/- which i can't understand. i am forced to pay this much amount due to safety of my wife and two little children.
Hence i am requesting UBER either to take action against him for charging me such excess amount and block his vehicle for booking of rides in future or refund me excess amount I have paid of Rs 1100/- to me on urgent basis, otherwise i will complain this matter to consumer court and higher authorities o[censored]BER
