Dear Uber Support Team,
I am writing to dispute an overcharge on my ride taken today, November 17, 2025.
1. Original Quoted Fare: The price displayed when I booked the ride was approximately ₹483 (the receipt confirms a suggested fare of ₹483.59).
2. Amount Charged: The final total shown on the trip receipt is ₹796.49, which includes a Deferred Payment of ₹312.90.
The issue is twofold:
1. Overcharging: I was forced to pay the full amount of ₹796.49 to the driver. The Deferred Payment amount of ₹312.90 was unexpectedly added to my current trip's fare.
2. Unauthorized Payment Method: I intended to pay using my Uber Cash balance. However, the driver immediately processed the payment by charging the full ₹796.49 through his personal Paytm QR code (to "Anand Raj") and then marking the trip as paid by "cash" on his end, without my confirmation.
I have attached three screenshots:
• My Uber receipt showing the Suggested Fare (₹483.59) and the Deferred Payment (₹312.90), leading to the total of ₹796.49.
• The driver's unauthorized receipt details.
• The successful Paytm transfer of ₹796.49 to the driver's personal account.
I request an immediate review and a full refund of the overcharged Deferred Payment amount, which is ₹312.90.
