Uber India — overcharged for three trips in mumbai

I normally take uber from my work place to home.
These are my ride details for which I was overcharged

Trip no. 1 - date 12 April 2018 from Bsnl Maharashtra circle office juhu koliwada khar danda to sanchar quarters mtnl marg road no 86 chandrakant dhuruwadi dadar Mumbai. I booked two seats for which I was shown a fare of rs.77.90. But on reaching my destination the paytm deducted rs.228.51.

Trip no. 2 - date 13 April 2018 same pickup and same destination. I booked one seat and the fare shown was Rs.68. But Paytm deducted Rs 168.

Trip no.3 - date 17 April 2018 same pickup and same destination. I booked two seats for which I was shown a fare of rs.77.90. But Paytm deducted Rs 208.

I had complained to uber umpteen times but getting the same reply that there would have been a change in the pickup or destination or there would have been a detour.

But in all the cases I've given the names of the drivers also and have time and again stressed that there was no change in the pickup or destination and there was no detour.

But uber had not helped me to get refund. Since I was paying through paytm I think this is a way of fleecing the customers.

Please do help me

Yours

Hi

I am a harassed customer o[censored]ber who has been overcharged on three occasions and had taken up with the company but to no avail. They give the same reply rubbish reply over and over again and fail to solve the problems faced. I am giving below the details.

I normally take uber pool for commuting from office to home and vice versa. But now feel that i should not use and also advice the public to refrain using uber service since they are cheating the customers. The details of the rides on the three occasions are given below:

Day 1 - 12 april 2018 - i booked an uber pool ride for two seats from bsnl administrative building, juhu koliwada, khar danda, mumbai to sanchar quarters, road no. 86, chandrakant dhuru wadi, dadar, mumbai.

The name of the driver was nilesh. Time was 17.38

The fare shown for two seats was rs. 77.90 while we boarded. But after getting down the paytm deducted rs.228.90. The uber receipt also showed rs.77.90. The trip fare was rs.108.90 and after discount of rs.31, the fare receipt showed rs. 77.90.

When i complained to uber, i was told that there would have been a change in the pick up or destination or there would have been a detour. I had told the uber support umpteen times that there was no change in the pick up or drop or there was no detour. You can verify from your driver.

Day 2 - 13 april 2018 - i booked uber pool for 1 seat at 17.23 from the same pick up and for the same destination. The fare at the time of booking showed rs. 68 and while getting down paytm deducted rs. 168.51.

Here again the uber receipt showed a surge of 1.3 when i have uber pass. The receipt showed rs.99 plus surge of rs.45.18 and a discount of rs.31. The trip summary was rs.113.18. But paytm deducted rs.168.51.

When you people advertise and tell the customers to take uber pass for a flat fare, then where is the question of surge. Please be transparent while charging the customers and dont fleece them.

Again on this occasion also there was no change in the pickup, drop or there was no detour. You can verify from your driver mr. Umesh.

Day 3 - 16 april 2018 - i booked two seats from the same pick up and for the same destination. I was shown a fare of rs.77.90 while i booked. Again there was no change in the pick up place or no change in the destination and there was no detour. You can verify from your driver mr. Harishankar.

The trip receipt shown a subtotal fare of rs. 108.90 minus discount of rs.31 which came to rs.77.90 and the paytm deducted rs. 208.51.

Is this a way of fleecing the customers.

If you fail to give a solution to this i am going to take it up with the press and i will share this information in the media.

I request you to kindly refund the excess deducted amount giving the details of the deduction.

Also have some phone numbers to contact your customer care as your mail and message system of redressal of complaints is very horrible, hopeless and useless.
