Uber India — Regarding overcharging and charging even when driver not arrived | |||||
Dear sir, I have certain grievances regarding your cab service that I experienced when I travelled to Delhi on the 7th of May 2017. # When I booked a cab from Uber Delhi on my arrival, it said 11 mins followed by another message delaying it by further 2 mins. I.e. 13 mins. Since it was too hot to step out of the airport, we stay put inside and to have a seat, I purchased a costa coffee for Rs.330/- in order to have a seat in their shop. To my dismay, just as I finalised my order, your driver announces his arrival i.e. In the next 2 mins ... Now, do you understand that due to the false notification, I spent Res 330/- which was not required if we were informed of the correct status of our cab. # The ride from uber taxi to the function for which we had travelled to Delhi was superb. The taxi arrived dot on time and the driver karamveer Singh is a very friendly, polite and respectful driver . I give him 5 stars. The ride back to hotel after the function was also good. We rated the driver with 5 star. # Next day was our flight back. The reporting time was 9.25am and our flight was at 10.25 to Indore by Jet airways . We received message from the airlines that as it would take around 20 mins walking to reach the gates we could as Well reach earlier. We booked our cab from uber and received message that the driver would be reaching in 2 mins. We kept on waiting and for next nine mins.the driver never arrived. When we spoke to him he said he was still 2 mins. away. By this time panic set in as the clock was ticking by and it was already 9.15 am and we could miss our flight back. So we cancelled this ride and booked another cab and reached the airport by nick of time. How we have sprinted at this age of 60 and 62 to reach our gate which was announcing our names as final call . Do you realise that a little delay could have cost us 11500/- if we had missed our flight. Your fare charged us 250/- on our way back compared to 97/- from airport to hotel. How can you have 2 fares for the same distance and same time taken. Then you charged us for the fare which we cancelled. Please note that since the driver kept us assuring of his arrival that we kept on waiting .We had to cancel only because of the delay it was causing us to start from our hotel to reach airport on time. The money involved is not so big but the harassment is and we feel cheated for unfair charging of fares. You should realise that the cabs are booked on trust that we would reach our destination on time. Especially when one has to catch a flight, a bus or a train, the time punctuality is of essence, I hope your company realises that too.So please practise your professionalism before you preach in ads for marketing... Totally disgusted and disappointed by your service... Hope you improve and don't give another chance to somebody else to complain in future for the same reasons. Was this information helpful? | |||||

I have been using uber regularly from past week. I have not obtained any promotion offers for my regular rides. I am not happy with your services recently. Kindly do make sure that regular uber users get offers.
