I booked a cab with ubergo on 1st feb 2015 but had to cancel as the driver had somebody accompanying him in the car. Upon questioning as to why he had somebody accompanying, he said he had to drop his relative near by. I decided to cancel the cab citing my security, though the driver said the other person would leave from the car at my location itself. Please let me know how do i get the cancellation fee back, as i don't see any viable option in the uber app. Also, request you to sanitize your drivers/partners regarding security in such cases.
I raised my grievance to uber support as well, but as per them i would be charged cancellation fee because i didnt "cancel the trip within 5 minutes of requesting the ride". Not considering the fact that driver was accompanying somebody!
If thats the case then even if a driver comes drunk to rider's location and the rider cancels the ride, then rider would be charged.
If feel that cancellation policy are good to compensate drivers but are not drivers supposed to be penalized if they take women safety security for a toss. Was this information helpful? |
