I enrolled in an UpGrad program and made a full upfront payment of ₹25, 000. However, due to misleading information from their counselors, I decided to withdraw.
UpGrad is only refunding ₹5, 000 and unethically keeping ₹20, 000 as a “processing fee.” This was never properly disclosed before payment.
🔴 Why wasn’t this critical refund policy clearly highlighted on their website?
🔴 Why didn’t their counselors inform me before taking my money?
🔴 Instead, they created fake urgency, saying ‘slots are filling fast’ to push me into paying!
The refund policy was only revealed in the admission letter AFTER I made the payment. This is misleading and unfair!
I have already filed a complaint with the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) and escalated the issue on Twitter, Quora, and MouthShut. I[censored]pGrad does not refund my full ₹25, 000, I will take legal action and expose this unethical practice further.
