Lost all my hopes for PAN card now .. it has been more than 2 yrs now ( hell lot of mail and calls)
but no positive response by UTITSL side. I think they have common reply "send duly signed letter..."
In every buget Finance minister say without PAN card you can not do and that .. but they are not thinking for giving the PAN CARD first.
Useless number "Contact Nos.[protected]/01/02/03/06" where no body picks the phone.
I dont what to do now ........

UTITSL — Much delay
Horible service provider.I have purchased UTI's INDIA LIFE STYLE FUND NFO in july 2007 inwhich this sevice was free however I have paid the fee alongwith required document.Till date I have not received my PAN Card.
I had applied for name & signature change in my already allotted pan card which was just rejected for the simple reason o[censored]sing initials. You might be well aware that in south india using of initials is a regular one and our own hon'ble Finance minister has a 'P' as initial in his name. For this simple reason rejecting a request is against the moral who wishes to file her return.
I would request to create a software which should serve all indians irrespective of north south east west.

I agree with you. These North Indian dominated IT department are forcing us South Indians to change the way we name ourself by asking us to give Sur Name or expand initials and then, when we do expand initials, they ask us to provide proof of address and Identity with Initials expanded. All our (south Indian ) ration card, Bank Passbook etc... will have initials and hence they reject the application as name not same as in application.
They are forcing us to change the way we name ourself to match that of the North Indian format.
Where can we take up this complaint to permit us to continue to use initials???
DATE OF BIRTH IS WRONG IN PAN CARD
I got my pancard with pan no. AGLPT1737A on jan-2008 through courier but DATE OF BIRTH mentioned in PAN CARD NO. is wrong.
I contacted my agent for that & he send the right data to modify the date of birth. But near about 2 months completed and no changes or message received me so far.

I had applied for correction in PAN data through UTITSL, bangalore. I had applied on 23rd jan-08. But i am not even able to check the status no. given to me on the internet. every time i give the coupon no. and check for status it gives me NULL or N/A. It's been over a month and The application has not been forwarded to Mumbai office as well, which is the common norm.
Infact, by this point of time i should be getting my corrected PAN card.
I hope someone takes a note of this issue and pushes them to take some corrective action.

The PAN card is required for various purposes at the
earliest. The annual returns have to be filed. It is
also required for Mutual Fund transactions very
urgently. Please reprocess the same urgently. Many
matters are pending requiring it.
It is our duty to complain when the PAN card is lost by us when it is in our hands. It still becomes an additional duty to us, to complain when the PAN card is lost or stolen in transit.
There has been cases of lost post parcels in history. How can without logistics and traceability any thing of importance which require reporting its loss ever be sent by ordinary mail.
Ordinary mail is liable to be stolen by any one who wishes the delay of delivery of the same, and when the rules of the mode of delivery is not changed by the governing/management, should we apply again and again and complain of its theft again and again.

Pancard — Annoying UTITSL process - where is my pancard
This is one of the pathetic story about Pancard. I think government is minting money in this process. There are so many in numbers who has the same kind of story to relate.
I have applied pancard in the month of April from Chennai, but am a resident of Hyderabad. At the time of applying I was told that I would be getting pancard delivered in 15-20 days at my Hyderabad residence. It was good to hear !!!
On 30th April the internet site of www.utitsl.co.in showed the status of 'Delivered'. I was happy that I would be getting Pancard soon, and also intimated my parents, watch man about the corier or post about this. This happiness didnot last longer as I had to wait till June month.
Irritated with this I enquired at chennai office about pancard, the answer was -- no we could not trace the details. Uhhh..I enquired at Hyderabad Zonal office, there they say that it may have returned undelivered. I asked, How can it be when every one was at home and our watchman is also there, How could it return back.
They asked me to give one application requesting the pancard. I gave and that day there were around 30-35 people with same kind of problem. They all have to skip the office that for this purpose. The zonal head told me that I would be getting a letter at my residence after 15 days, and if I bring that they would give me my Pancard. So I got the letter after 15 days, and today I went to the zonal office and was shocked with reply.
The zonal head asked me to pay rupees 70/- so that the pan card will be delivered from Mumbai again to their office and I can collect that after 10 days. These UTITSL people are cheating. Or who knows the government is making money under the cover o[censored]TITSL.
I think there should be some concern shown by the Government, because we are paying taxes, we are getting pancards on our own cost. Hell with the government and there policies.
May be these UTITSL have choosen some wrong guy for courier services where there are lot of quality courier service providers. May be one more corruption story under this courier service provider.
There is nothing much I can do, but have to wait till I get my Pancard.

The pan no alloted to me is: BPHPS8311H.
But on keying the website of the Income Tax department my Pan no appears to be: AMCPB6923F.
I had applied for a demat accunt in Bank of India. However, my application has been rejected on the ground that the pan number submitted by me does not match the details reflected on the income tax department's website.

PAN APPLICATIONS AND HE IS DEMANDING MORE AMOUNT

i applied for d pancard in december 2006 n thereafter pan no allotted to me is BIXPS8150D, but i did not recieve the card. i again gave application for duplicate card but recieved an intimation from your side that photograph on d form is missing so send another application with photo , which i did immeadiatly. now its more than 1 1/2 months n i have no information about my card. sir some very imp work is pending due to it. sir kindly advice what to do next. can i apply for frash card. if yes how. if no whwt to do.

I applied for PAN CARD on 9th april 2008.On internet it shows it has been dispatched on 19th april 2008 but still i did not get.Pls help me in providing pan card as i need it very urgent

I had applied for my PAN Card vide application No.[protected] and coupon No.[protected] on 08-09-07. On browsing the web it was noted that the card was despatched on[protected], and the PAN No. BOCPS0091C . Uptill now I have not received the card.i gave written complaints, but to no avail.
Kindly help me in despatching the card immediately. I am willing to pay the Courrier/Speed Post charges.
Non receipt of PAN Card No. AUTPP3078K

I had applied for my PAN Card vide application No.[protected] and coupon No.[protected] on[protected]. and the PAN No. AUTPP3078K uptill now I have not received the card.I gave written complaints, but to no avail. I am a Senior Citizen and forced to un-necessary harassment in banking transactions for not having the PAN.

I made several personal visits to Durgapur Office, and gave written complaints, but to no avail.

UTITSL — Much delay
Horible service provider.I have purchased UTI's INDIA LIFE STYLE FUND NFO in july 2007 inwhich this sevice was free however I have paid the fee alongwith required document.Till date I have not received my PAN Card.
