I am writing this with regard to the unauthentic charges levied by a supposedly lineman who approached our residence on 10/09/2021 during noon.
At 02:08 PM, 10/09/2021, four men reached our residence on three bikes and my mother reached the gate to talk to the person, the person claimed to be a lineman and exclaimed about the outstanding amount of bill which he mentioned was too high based on the readings.
My mother asked for the identity of the person and the basis of the supposedly lineman’s constant assertion of the meter not being genuine and an unreasonable amount being outstanding, but the person denied to reveal so by saying that there has been a transfer of a new senior official in the locality and when asked about the identity of the senior official, the supposedly lineman kept mum.
The focal point of issue here is that the bill is paid by us through online mode on regular basis by Paytm to UPPCL and the person who asserted on his statements did not have any proof of identity as well as the accusations.
Later when I checked the outstanding dues for our bill, it was an unreasonably high amount charged for two months i.e. Rs. 68, 144 /-
I have also attached the previous invoice of our online billing which is most recent and previous hardcopy bill sample which have been genuinely paid by us and the amount has not exceeded Rs. 2000/- generally until now.
Today, January 19, 2022, again a lineman reached our residence and gave us a bill based on the new readings of 2 months and when I checked it over the internet, it was again an unreasonably high amount of Rs 52, 359 /-
We have already given an amount of more than Rs 4, 00, 000/- as told to us by the concerned officials but now we feel that we have been charged overly and illegitimately and this has some of the officials and the supposedly linemen.
I hereby request sheer action on this issue, this is a case of explicit negligence by the local authorities and tampered readings of the meter.
I request fair action and acknowledgement of this issue and our bill to be annulled and refund of the already submitted unreasonable amount o[censored]pto Rs 4, 00, 000/-
I request for this matter to be taken into fair consideration again with a reasonable amount along with strict action against the local authorities for their unethical conduct.
