hi I am a Customer visited Vasan Eye care sometime in Mid of March 2011,

Here i'm desperately forced to share my bitter experience that the Vasan Eye care men behaved. and the WORST SO CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE THEY USE TO SAY.

I had visitied One of the famous branches of Vasan Eye care in Chennai for the treatment of Eye for my relative. We were happy to hear that the consultation fees was ONLY Rs.100

For a moment - i was happy - Had all hospitals now truly realised that they're for only good service - and not for good Money...??? i was TOTALLY wrong.

After the treatment (After a long wait for the doctor to arrive - for 45 minutes)
Prescribed medicines for - Rs.425 - Then with Tests -Rs.250, and a re-visit afterfew days
Total now was - Rs.775 for a single visit....??

I was billed Rs.2500 for a glass and frame, I had paid an advance of Rs.1000 and got the bill, in 5 minutes, i changed my mind and came back and asked them to cancell my order and return my Rs.1000, (Not even left the shop)
The sales guys said, There is no chance of giving the money back, because they've already placed the order in lab and they'd have manufactured it (..lol..in 5 mins..that too in India??)

I understood he had decided to cheat me, then i asked him to confirme it with the lab - if they've prepared it. else giv my money back. when he dialed and gave the phone i heared that they've not started processing the order - they're all OK to cancel it now. at this point - the sales guy in the vasan eye opticals behaved SOOO CHEAP by PLUCKING the phone from my hand and responded as NO dont cancel it. and cut the call. he simple said me rude - come after 10 days.

I wanted to talk to higher authorities - but he wasnt givine any infor... I went directly to its admin head,
THAT GUY APPEARED PROFESSIOINAL. spoke as convincing as he can...and said he will make appropriate actions about the behaviour of sales guy. and he begged me not to make a big issue inside his room.

After two days - i spoke to him asking about return of my money...the admin guy said - NO possiblility.
The sysem has no option to cancel any order placed..(Trying to cheat saying that). We know NO Fool will design a system like that and No fool will purchase it if designed without delete opiton.

This time the Admin person DIDNOT KEEP UP HIS WORD, He simply said - do what ever you want i cannot bare responsibility for such things. i LOST MY MONEY - Rs.1000

MY KIND REQUEST: DEAR CUSTOMERS BE TRIPPLE CAREFUL BEFORE GOING TO SUCH MULTI SPECIALITY HOSPITALS - BECAUSE YOU'D NOT KNOW - ALL WHO'RE WEARING TIES AND SUITS ARE NOT ALSO ROBBERS.

I TOTALLY AGREE TO THIS - I HAD FACED THIS ISSUE - I AM SO UPSET MENTALLY BECAUSE OF SUCH IN HUMAN CREATURES BEING APPOINTED FOR THE MOST CARING JOBS.

Vasan Hospital - No Value for Time.

I had visited Vasan Dental Care, panampilly nagar, Ernakulam on[protected] and got registered and consulted the doctor. After cheeckup doctor suggested to consult the specialist doctor and taken appointment on 19th 5 PM.

I reached 5 PM on 19th and informed receptionist of my arrival by giving the registration card and i was told to wait.I waited till 5.45 PM and still no response and there is no imtimation too on why it is getting delayed.I didn't understand then what is the purpose of appointment here? As you have camera on the reception area you can verify the things i have mentioned.

I have come for the appointment in between my office hours & it is unfortunate that your clinic is not giving value to time eventhough everywhere it is seen "We Care" & "We value your Time". While sitting i also noticed that no permanent person is sitting in the reception area.

I request you to have a proper process & followup for the better service so that the customers are happy and would like to have a long lasting relationship

So bad by all those vasan care centres thanks for telling even I was planning to go.
I am really sorry that you had the bad experience. But I do not feel it is true about everyone. I am saying this because for around 10 years I have been facing myopia, and all doctors used to treat me for the same. But a month back I visited Vasan at Chennai, and they told me that what I was having was something else (hypermetropia). They treated me likewise, and now I am able to see clearer than I used to.

Imagining if my eye sight would have gotten worse if I had followed the same treatment for some more time. The staff members were very kind with me as well.
I am sorry that you had a different experience. Frankly speaking, I actually feel that Vasan does a good job. My husband was treated in the Vasan Chennai branch. Now he doesn’t wear specs. He was having a power of+5 and found it difficult to see anything close to him clearly without his big specs. Now he can see clearly. And they were also good in terms of hospitality

Thanks for sharing ur experience I can't believe it Vasan eye care is so bad n n Chennai Vasan eye care may be its gud but not wherever

    Hi all,

    The same happened with my Father. He is 56 and he was advised to undergo cataract in the left eye asap. he underwent it on 7th feb 2011 at saidapet branch of vasan eye care.All went well until he said that there was a persistent irritation in his eye. Then again, on the 5th day we went back to the doctor for routine check up and told him about the persistent irritation. He told that that my father is diabetic and that might be the reason for his pain and persistent irritation.Due to severe pain and irritation in the eye, My father went again to the doctor and thats when the doc had said to him that there is some fibre inside the eye and that oughta be removed asap. He was again taken to the Operation Theatre where in they did some procedure to the remove the fibre(on 18th feb 2011).When asked about the reason behind that, the doctor didn't respond properly. He just said that it was some cotton fibre and now that he had removed it, there are no issues. Even then, My father couldn't see anything properly. His eye irritation was still persistent and his vision was not so clear even after a month. Then, we took him to another doctor nearby for second opinion. That's when we found out that they have done some wrong procedure and have given heavy doses of medicine. Being a heart patient, he was down and vexed because of this and his BP shot up thrice and his health became so bad. Is there any option to file a petition against the hospital for causing such inconvenience ? Is there any option to sue them? All we need is justice. His health condition has become very bad now only because of this. I advise the other patients who have an idea of going to vasan eye care for some surgery, strictly not to go there for any procedures. And, their tagline "Naanga irukom" sounds so stupid now, that are they for causing some severe damage to our eyes???

    In vasan Eye care done unnecessary test

    1. Testing charges is very high
    2. Finally every thing is OK
    3. Testing report is not clear U come another day same test
    4. Better appoint exp staff for testing

      My wife G.SUBBULAXMI -46years old) had cataract surgery with M160 Lens implantation(multi focus lens) on right in (VASAN EYE CARE HOSPITAL MADIPAKKAM )on[protected]Morning) and discharged on the same day for amount Rs 34,744/- Till now there are no changes her eye condition i.e. there is no improvement in her eyes even after following the instructions and medications as advised. we are not sure whether the lens kept on my wife eye was a correct one or not?         Cataract operation gone wrong

        My mother is 75 years old and had developed cataract in both her eyes. She visited the Vasan Eye care where she was told that she needed to undergo cataract operation on her right eye asap. She underwent the laser cataract removal procedure and the very same day she had severe vomitting and her eyes became swollen. The doctor asked her to come the next day and checked her and changed the medicines with which her vomitting stopped but her...

        Hi all, I STRICTLY RECOMMEND ALL THE PEOPLE NOT TO GO TO VASAN EYE CARE HOSPITAL .....This is to inform you all about the worst workmenship and carelessness of the Vaasan Eye Care hospital in making spectakles,I ordered a specks in VASAN EYE CARE (Vadapalani Branch) and i found manufacturing defect while checking for the first time,and they took the new specks for service ,and there was allingment problem for the second time also,then i asked for Refun of money,finally after making me frustrate they replaced with a new one,even in new one the frame has got scratched and they have applied permenant marker on it to cover the scratches.The cost for making it,The cost for eye checkup is Rs.100 but the cost of one ordinary Specks frame is Rs1850/-, and the cost of Plastic lens is thrice the frame.
        I AGAIN STRICTLY RECOMMEND ALL THE PEOPLE NOT TO GO TO VASAN EYE CARE OF ANY BRANCH

        Vasan Eye care — frame

        ravipuram vassan eye care optical manager(He is a tamil person) behave very badly , it very painful incident for me. he didint give me the warranty for my frame .
        Yes you are right..

        I am facing a different issue, As i purchased a specs 8months back and within 2 months of time the frame's bottom end got faded and i reported the same and they accepted and provided a new frame.

        Now gain i face the same problem within 2 months of time, when i approached the chromepet Vasan eye care, This time i heard a wondeful response, they say that the frame cost is only 700, so the quality will not be GOOD. :( Are they providing for a free of cost ??? 700 is not a small money...if that is the case why the hell they sell such a low quality specs ????

        It clearly shows how they cheat the customer & earn good profit... juz by the name we trust that the quality will be superb...but they are misusing it...

        It's the WORST place & service never seen
        juz to add few information for the above posted...

        I spoke to a person called TAMIL on 20/12/2010, and he replied me back that i will inform the issue to the manufacturer and will give you a call once we get the new frame.

        But i reached out twice & i got a response that he is on leave...

        I narrated the same information to KUMAR on 22/12/2010, . he responded me that you should have purchased a 1000+ worth of specs for better quality ... so they mean that the specs which ever is Less then 1000 in VASAN EYE CARE is not of good quality ??? if that's the case they should COMMUNICATE THE SAME TO THE CUSTOMER @ THE TIME OF PURCHASE...

        Are they follow any quality standard ??? Is it a good service & is it a way to respond ???
        Hi every one...
        my experience with vasan too is NOT AT ALL SATISFACTORY. I had gone there for my semi soft contact lenses...it took some three hours for me to finally reach the doctor...and she was recomending me for a new type of lens called KERASOFT which would be much comfortable than the semi soft lenses...and that lens costs 18000 rupees and semi soft lens costs 2500. I ordered both because kerasoft lenses takes 25-30 days to get ready because it is imported from Singapore...so for the time beign i had to use the semi soft lenses(as specs are not available for our type of cornea). Semi soft lenses are usually delivered in 3-4 days...but they took 12 days to deliver it to me. Then after a month..ie, on the 24th of jan2012 they called saying my kerasoft lens had come...i went there on 13th feb 2012 and tried that...it was a waste...it was comfortable in wearing it...but the power is differeing...i cld see a blurred vision iam not able to read at all...!!! I was totally shocked...i called the concerned person...and that lady has asked me to come tomorrow...!! every time they delivered my semi soft lens...there wld be mistake in my power and they make the lenses again and then deliver it second time...now also iam damn sure tomorrow she will either say that some thing is wrong with my cornea or the lens wont suit for my power...I dnt bilieve they will get me another pair of kerasoft lenses which costs 18000 rupees... So, friends...try to avoid vasan... go to doctors who is practising with a seperate clinic for a long time ..and who hands over our test reports to ourselves.

        Yes, I have had similar experience with Vasan Eye Care in Cochin. Plz stay away from them. They may not charge for checkups, but loot in their other services (advised after the free checkup) and opticals (PLZ DONT BUY FROM THEM)
