On 26 January 2017, I enquired about the availability of Vespa VXL 70th edition in I GTS Exports (P) Ltd, ( 63/12B, Main Rama Road, (Opp. Kirti Nagar Metro Station, ), Najafgarh Road Industrial Area, New Delhi - 110015 (INDIA). Email: [protected]@urbanbykes.com.) showroom. They said that it is not available but if I book for the Vespa 70th edition model then they can place the order. In fact, I even told them that I am ready to book for the Vespa 70th edition and I can wait for a month to receive if you assure me of getting Vespa 70th edition and they assured me the same.
Then on 30 January 2017, I booked for a Vespa 70th edition with a token amount of Rs.10000/- (the receipt is attached herewith). They told me that they have already booked for 2 Vespa 70th edition, as another customer has also asked for it. They said that they will confirm me in a week about the availability of the Vespa 70th edition model from the company and accordingly I have to pay the remaining amount.
On 4th February 2017, they called and inform me that my booking for the Vespa 70th edition is confirmed and they requested me to pay the remaining amount in one week time. They said that they can deliver the Vespa 70th edition by 21 February 2017. So accordingly, I gave two installment cheques one on 6th February 2017 and the other one on 16 February 2017 (post dated cheque) (the receipt is attached herewith).
I was waiting for the dealer's call till 20th February 2017, but I didn't receive any call. I called and enquired about the status of my order. They told me that there was a delay from the company side in delivering the order, and they asked me to wait for one more week (i.e., till 25/26 February 2017).
On 24 February 2017, I called the dealer to enquire about the status. They told me that it is in transit and may be in one or two days, they could receive the delivery from the company.
On 26 February 2017, I called the dealer to enquire about the status. They told me that they have received a damage so they again placed an another order to the company. This time, they requested me to wait up to 14 March 2017. However, they also told me that they will confirm the delivery on the first week of March.
On 1 March 2017, I received a call from the dealer. They apologized for the delay and told me that the delay is due to up gradation in the engine to fulfill BS4 norms. They also assure me that I can get the Vespa 70th edition by 11 March 2017.
On 10 March 2017, I called the dealer to enquire about the status. They told me that the company has stopped making the Vespa 70th edition model and they apologize for the same. They said that they can offer any other model with the reasonable discount if I wish or else they can repay my money in cheque.
I have applied for a personal loan from the bank and paid fully in two installments. From 26 January 2017 to till date. I have been waiting for almost 2 months, expecting that I will receive the Vespa 70th edition. But I was informed that the company stopped making the Vespa 70th edition model. In that case, either Dealer / Vespa team should have informed me in advance. After giving the assurance, they disappointed me by regreting to deliver the order. I raised a complain to Vespa Customer Care as well. But there is no proper response from the dealer and from the Vespa customer care team.
