I am ex employee of HCL and was covered under Vidal Health Insurance. I have raised a claim for my ICL eye surgery high refractive amounting around 1 lakh 60 thousand rupee. At very first time I received pre authorization of around 80 thousand rupee. My surgery was bit delayed as we were waiting for my eye lenses to be delivered. When my lenses were delivered and on the day of my admission my hospital again submitted a request however, Vidal health denied my request saying we do not cover ICL. If ICL is not covered why it was approved at first time and on the day of my Hospitalization they denied my claim and I was not even prepared to pay the amount for my surgery which brought me into the shock.
Even I had words with Vidal SPOC and they were not at all supportive. They responded that our senior doctor is saying ICL is not covered. Ideally, doctor should have been contacted at very first time I raised the request. I also gave feedback to my HR to remove this TPA and replace with some good service providers.
