Visa Card — fake call regarding discount card

I got a call from on 30.01.2019 at 13:00 hours. The caller introduced himself and said that he worked for visa/master card service provider. He offered me a card with various benefits like 5-30% discount on every transaction, a watch, free health check up and 3 days 2 night tour twice in a year. But to avail these offers i had to pay around rs. 8799 and the the offer looked quite lucrative. He told that the card he was offering was not a credit or debit card but a discount card which would get linked to my credit card and amount of rs. 8799 would reflect in my credit card statement. I didn't go for the offer because i thought that it could be a scam. And yes it is because i found people complaining about it on the internet. I just want to share the number [protected] if it could help in anyway.
