dear sir, i have bought the new polo 13 August 2014 Registration No. WB 06K 9699, VIN No.WVWE14602FT010411 and from the day i have bought the car the music system keeps freezing for no reason be it while playing music or while i am taking a call via bluetooth initially i thought that the devices i was playing music from were the reason for the problem but later i found out that no matter which device i play my music from CD, USB, AUX, memory card, Bluetooth streaming or taking calls i am facing the same problem, this is a brand new car and i am facing such problems does not reflect well on the quality my brother was planning to buy the diesel version of the polo but after seeing this he has put his plans on hold. please solve this at the earliest cause i have a lot of trust on your brand and will hate to see it diminish.

The German music system doesnot want to compromise with your safety. It needs to know that you have an intention to play the media.
How does it know that you need to listen to media? It knows this if and only if you reduce the volume before pushing the "MEDIA" button. So once your media is detected, may it be your pen drive or SD card or phone connected by bluetooth, you need to first lower the volume to something like 2 or 3 and then press the media button. After 2-3 seconds, you can increase the volume and enjoy your music.
I got Polo GT TSI and am thrilled by the twin turbo and amazing DSG gearbox. I was literally cring over this issue forl long time. One day I just took out the User Manual and this simple adjustment solved the problem!!
The first priority of the designer is to think of the safety of the driver! So "Das Auto" - The Car - does not distract the driver if some media is simply connected. The driver/co passenger has to reduce the volume to communicate to the system about the intention to listen the music!
