Volkswagen India — Taigun - Clutch failure in just 13K kms.

Address:Hyderabad-500055

I am Gottam Prakash, Resident of Hyderabad, in the month of Sept, 2022 I have bought VW Taigun High line MT.

The reason why I chose to own a VW as my first car, after driving family owned Tata and Suzuki vehicles for many years is, the reliability of the machine, safety and quality of parts and value for money for which VW is widely acclaimed.

However, to my utter dismay, on 8th of April, 2023 while I was traveling on highway vehicle suddenly got breakdown on the middle of the road, to my luck the incident happened while i was on 30/40kmph speed and the car which was behind me did not hit us.

I have never experienced such dangerous situation even with Tatas and Suzuki's, please note the vehicle stopped moving suddenly on a highway without any previous issue whatsoever.

Immediately, after the incident, i rang up your guys and followed their instructions and managed to reach home safely, traveling at very low speed of 20-30kmph.

I took the vehicle, to the service centre today and i was told that vehicle's clutch plates got burnt. I never expected this from VW, given the fact that the vehicle covered just only thirteen thousand kilometers till date. It was a rude shocker to me as the very reason i went with VW was for its reliability and quality of parts.

Service centre people has informed me that I have to pay Rs 20000/- for the replacement of burnt clutch plates.I would like to tell VW India through you, forget about 20k, Iam not sure whether it is only clutch plates or something more, I don't need this faulty vehicle. It is disgusting to learn a brand which is widely acclaimed and advertises itself as top class car manufacturer world over, is providing faulty machines and parts to its Indian customers.

As such Madam/Sir, please take back your faulty vehicle and refund my entire amount or replace the faulty vehicle with a new one.

Please be informed, that iam ready to take legal course, in case you fail to refund the entire amount or replace the faulty vehicle as it invoves the safety of my dearest ones.
