Voltas — 1.5 ton Split AC not working after 1 year of purchase | |||
Hi, I am Sourav Maitra staying at 868 RN Chatterjee Lane, Ichapur, Kolkata. I have purchased a split AC (1.5 ton, SAC gold, 5 Star, Red) on 22/05/2012. I selected Voltas because of its goodwill. It works perfectly for 1 year. After that disturbance came to our notice. I called the dealer (Vanisha, corp office: B-12, Municipal Market Complex, Kalyani, vat no. [protected]). They suggested to buy a stabiliser. I purchased a stabiliser of 4 KV. But the problem was not solved. After revisiting, the dealer suggested to contact customer care of Voltas. I communicated. Local authorised service centre (Prompt Service) visited and given an estimated cost for repair of Rs. 9000/- (Nine thousand) which is 1/4 th cost of the AC. The breakup of cost given as Condenser Coil 6700 + gas charging 1800 + transportation 500. The estimate was given on 21/10/2013. I was surprised and frustrated due to this unnecessary financial burden of this huge cost. Meanwhile I was busy for the treatment of my mother's illness and never communicated to you after that. I am writing this complaint with a hope that you should take proper action to resolved the issue. I have trust on your reputation and after sales service. Please do the justice on that. Dear Team Voltas,
I got a call from Prompt Service today. They wanted to visit my house with a technician charge of Rs. 400. I know, they will report the same and make a estimated bill of 9000 or may be higher to repair the machine. I don't want such solution from your end. Why should I take the burden of such a huge cost. Is it my mistake to choose you?
I want a replacement from your end. At the time of buying, I don't have idea that I should select Copper Condenser Coil. I have paid 36000 to purchase it and I am suffering after 1 year usage.
Expecting a positive respond from your end.
