On 16th April 2022, I called customer service number[protected] which is mentioned on the blue sticker at the top left of my Voltas windows AC. They said since my product was out of warranty they'll send third party vendor to fix the product. Technician visited my place on 17th April. He serviced (cleaned) both Voltas AC and refilled gas (gas recharging) in both the AC. Total bill amount was for 6700. Gas recharging has a 3 month warranty (as mentioned) on invoice. In less than 2 months, on 7th June, one of the AC stopped cooling. I called the number voltas customer care on[protected]. This time I could not connect to this number. I went online to look for alternate number to reach customer care and get gas recharged as it was still under 3 month warranty. I found the number[protected] online and raised a complaint with customer care.
Next day voltas technician visited me and refused to acknowledge the previous service (gas recharging) was done by them and asked for money (400 visit charge + 2600+GST for gas recharging. I told him it was under 3 month warranty but he refused to understand the situation and kept asking for money. I paid him 400 visit charge and told him to leave.
When I called the number on the invoice provided by technician who recharged gas in April, nobody picked the phone. When I again customer support, they told that voltas has decomissioned the number[protected] and that they will be charging money for both visit and gas refilling (REQ [protected]).
Voltas specifically provided the number on AC for customer to call and then decomissioned the number without any prior notice while very conveniently giving it to some fraudsters. Not only do voltas refused to take any responsibility, they wasted by putting me on hold for over an hour and then disconnecting my call multiple times.
