Voltas — Voltas from the date i have installed the a/c i have cooling issue... Pathetic product

Dear sir,

I have purchased a voltas 155cy/ey 1.2 ton - 5 star rated air split conditioner and since from 4th day of this a/c installation i am facing repeated gas leakage / low freon re-filling issue.

I have complained thrice to voltas customer support team for the same issue and they sent local technician (Don’t have voltas id card, seems to be third party vendor who don’t have any proper technical knowledge) every time who came and inspected/fixed it somehow by tightening the pipe connection bolt & refilling with little amount of freon. But after two / three days of re-filling, the issue is resurfacing. This ac is driving me crazy. This machine has been fixed more than 4 times in the last 1.5 months for this brand new product, which proves the inferior product quality and your service quality as well.

I have bought this because of my trust in voltas product quality which we so proudly boast of and also to save electricity consumption due to 5 star rated product. I feel that i have lost my hard earn money. One thing is for sure, i will never buy voltas again in my life nor suggest anybody.

I'm fed up with support provided by the company's third party contractors, let me start jotting down the problem i faced –

1. Cooling was zero immediately after 4 days of a/c installation, after complaining to voltas customer care - a technical guy (Was wearing lg official shirt) visited first at around 10am, checked the gas pressure (35 psi) and made a report of low gas issue and left. Then on the same day late in the evening other technical guy w/o any voltas id (Seems to be third party contract employee) has refilled the gas and measured the pressure (72 psi) and left.
2. Again immediately after 2 days of gas re-filling the same situation happened, no proper cooling effect from a/c only fan was running. After making complaint to voltas customer care – the same technical guy (Wearing lg shirt) visited to my place at morning time (11.30am) and checked the connection pipe/nut bolt etc and detected leakage at indoor and outdoor connection point and left, then on the same day late evening a new technician guy came (Not from direct voltas – no id card assigned) and tighten the bolt junction and refill with r-22 freon (Not sure which type of gas was re-filled) w/o completely vacuuming the air from compressor and left. Please note that technician has not carried pressure measurement equipment that day, simply refilled the gas and left. Every time technician insisting that don't registered complaint and given me his personal contact no. And insisting to call his personal no if any further issues occurs.
3. The issue again recurred after 4 days, i contacted the same technician and he admitted that the freon charging may be low as due to empty service cylinder. And assured that he will re-fill the gas again!! Don’t worry. But he keep on postponing the dates by saying – they don’t have gas in stock and meter currently etc. After two weeks when i told them i am going to complain this to voltas customer care then immediately that technical person tried to convinced me not to call voltas customer care, he will visit my place by day end and re-fill the gas. At late evening that technical guy visited my place and found gas pressure around 85 psi and fixed the gas pressure to 75 psi as per his technical knowledge. Which proves that there was no gas leakage any more but not felt any effective cooling even after necessary fixation done by technician.
4. The same issue persists again after 2 days of gas refilling, a/c is not cooling any more.
I am really disappointed with voltas which used to be a renowned company giving such a pathetic service and hiring third class technicians who don't have proper technical knowledge to solve a issue in a brand new product. I already have wasted my valuable time in this matter, and also voltas technician have done lots of research work on this brand new product, hence no more space left to allow voltas technician to do further r&d work. I am sorry for this! I am now demanding replacement of this split ac as the product is defective and is not repairable after several visits of voltas engineers, if voltas can't able to replace this faulty unit with a brand new unit then please pay me back my hard earned money.
