I, Samip Sinchuri, resident of D.B. Road, P.O. Sonada – 734209, Customer ID:[protected], would like to lodge a formal complaint regarding the electricity bill issued to me for the quarter October–December 2025.
The bill received is abnormally high when compared to my past three quarterly bills. The details of my consumption and billing are as follows:
• January–March 2025: 555 kWh – ₹3, 228.00
• April–June 2025: 518 kWh – ₹2, 992.00• July–September 2025: 512 kWh – ₹2, 952.00
• October–December 2025: 1002 kWh – ₹7, 883.00
The current bill is more than double the average of my previous three quarters. This sudden surge is shocking and unacceptable, especially since it comes even before the festival season (Dussehra and Diwali), during which no extraordinary usage occurred in my household.
I request your office to:
1. Review and verify the meter reading and billing for the quarter October–December 2025.
2. Provide me with a written explanation for this sudden and abnormal increase in consumption.
3. Issue a revised bill at the earliest, well before the first due date of e-payment.
Further, I would like to highlight that Sonada often faces acute power outages and disruptions. It is unfair that, despite such irregular supply, consumers are burdened with inflated bills. The responsibility lies with the department to ensure fair billing along with uninterrupted electricity supply.
I therefore urge you to treat this matter with urgency and take corrective action at the earliest.
