Unable to login on wdc.com

When I tried to login my account, it showed message 'Error: Your login attempt has failed. Make sure the username and password are correct.'. Then I tried to change the change the password, but it showed the following message 'Error:
That nickname already exists. Enter a unique nickname.'.

I have checked my emails as well but there is no email from wester digital site.

hello sir, i have registered a complain for replacing my hard disk in Westeren digital support center.They assured me that they will come at 3/8/2012. but they have not come yet.There customer care phone no. is also not reachable,since they don't have any sevice center i am fed up with the company.Kindly help me sir.thank you.

    As its been more theen a monthe your person collected my TB Hard Drive on 10the of July 2012 and you received it on 16the of July 2012 and theen i spoke to your customer care service who says theat theey cant commit on mail theat how much time will it take to get me back my 1TB Hard drive. first of all your support staff said it will take 15 days and theen after 15 days theey say it will take 15 working days and now few days back your support staff told me i will receive hard disk last Friday theat is 3rd August 2012. Now on 6the August when i had word withe your support staff he told me theat we don't have stock of 1TB Hard Drive so can you please tell me for what you all guys take 15 days...?? or you want me to approach RTI or any Consumer Court...?? or you have explanation for what you take 15 days...?? please provide me thee explanation via e-mail and commit me when can i receive it? and i expect quick response or else i will approach to consumer court for my business data losses for last 1 monthe and you have to compensate me for thee same.
    Adaptor was missing in thee box pack WD Hard disk which i brought and when i had work withe your support staff theey said i have to buy a new one from outside as i was in need so i was ready to support WB in monitory terms as well still theey said theey cant provide Adaptor and how can theis mistake happened in WB theat you were unable to insert Adaptor in a box. I am highly disappointed withe WD services and would say otheer buyers not to opt for WD hard-disk.
    I will wait till tomorrow i.e 7the August for your revert and if you were unable to revert me back theen kindly be prepared to get legal notice and theen thee legal proceedings will start from my end.

        i am vijay srivastava ,i have a computer showroom in dhanbad (jharkhand).I got a sold out hdd for replacementfrom my customer, the hard disk started running problem after 5 MONTH of sale .i had told to the customer associate of the mentioned company and he advised me to courier the hard disk from my end and they promised to replace it within 11 days.Now its been one year and i still didnot get my hard disk.i speak to the customer associates every day and they just give me false information.the main person incharge-Mr Allam(ph no-[protected],[protected]) is also trying to neglect things.the address of the company is

        i m sending courier defective drive along with required details.
        i had sent all of four RMA[protected],82484469,82484521,82484543defective drives in one packet on 20th-
        feb-2011

        Which i Have sended for replacement by ddc Courier with air way bill number-K51251995 after that i was sufring from healt problem thats why i was not in regular contact with the company after several month when i contacted the company for replacement hard drive. warehouse was change then i contacted flextronics ware house as per phone discussion with girish from flextronics ware house Phone number- +91- [protected],[protected] they demanded me for original couier receipt of sent hard drive then i send original couier recipt by post on said address on 10/05/2012 by trackon courier[protected]

        time they tolrating my case,they disconnect my phone calls.lastly they told me that yourNEW RMA #83687583 has been declared as invalid and there shall be no replacement for the said.
        i am totally shocked after listing these words,
        sir i want to no that why this happened with me?,
        were i failed to submit any proof which they demanded?
        i am owner of a computer show room
        please sir atleast tell what should i say to the my customers. whom hard drives i have sended for replacement
        they every time demanded me for there hard drive now i am in worst situation.sir please do some thing

        i have given my western digit hard disk for replacement .since December last year they have been telling the new hard disk its already on its way .. but still now i have not received it .. they do not pick up their phone when ever we call also.. on emails they have been telling tomorrow since for the last 2 months . because of it i had to buy a new one also . i hope you kindly look into the matter and take some action against the company

        I too have the same problem. I have sent my Harddisk to them through AFL couriers to Bangalore on 21st June 2012. I had a follow up to their call centre. I was told that they have received the harddisk on 2nd July. (By tracking on the Courier Website, it shows it has been delivered on 23rd June) I was told 'll get the replacement delivered within 2 days. Right from them the company toll free call centre numbers are sometime switched off and sometimes no body speaks (only the caller tune is on) I have been trying for the last two months. Can anybody tell me what to do as it is creating me lot of problems. I am Yogesh Shah, Cell : [protected], Sangli (Maharashtra)

          I have purchased a 1TB Western Digital HDD with Serial No.WCC0T0262358 around January 2012, this Hard drive was a second grade hard drive just like the WD company, it was giving problems since the time of purchase but I was not sure whether it’s the hard drive, however after about 20-25 days the hard drive was not working at all, so I contacted Western Digital for a replacement, I also needed support for Data Recovery, WD representatives informed me that WD doesn’t provide any DATA RECOVERY SERVICES FOR INDIAN CUSTOMERS, I told them it’s a new hard drive and I have about 300GB of important Data to take backup to this they replied I can contact a third party Data Recovery service. However there is a Advance Replacement service from Western Digital where in Replacement Hard drive will be sent before hand i.e.., before the defective hard drive is shipped to my utter disappointment they informed me even ADVANCE REPLACEMENT SERVICE IS LIMITED TO AMERICAN, EUROPEAN and CANADIAN CUSTOMERS AND ITS NOT FOR INDIAN CUSTOMERS . WD is CLEARLY STILL IN APARTHEID ERA by this I don't mean they are racist even though they act otherwise, however Seagate has the option of Advance Replacement shipment for Asia Pacific Region also. I highly doubt about the quality of the WD hard drive either its of second grade quality or its replacement HDD, no hard drive ever gone bad within 20-25 days o[censored]sage, I keep my PC updated with Anti Virus, regularly scans it and also run cleanup's to delete temporary files in short I try all possibilities to protect my hard drive. I sent a Mail in January 2012 to WD to at least send me a NEW HARD DRIVE as a replacement not the REFURBISHED ONE, to this y WD replied.

          We are sorry to inform you that we will not be able to ship the Replacement Drive to the customer without receiving the defective unit in our warehouse.

          Kindly provide us some time so we can get back to you with an update.

          After the above mail, I never received any communication from them since then to date that is 1st June-2012. I request the authorities to stop being discriminative and send me a new hard drive as advance replacement so that I can try taking back up in that one, as no DATA RECOVERY CENTER is ready to store 300 GB of data.

            My hard disk of Western Digital had bad sectors (Unable to read and write), which is under warranty till 2014.According to the Western digital, the hard disk is supposed to be replaced within 10 to 15 working days but its more than 36 days since my hard disk is not replaced.The only thing that the western digital customer care executive repeats is that "your case has escalated to the higher authority and within two business working days the harddisk would be replaced". This statement is being repeated since 12th April 2012 but still my hard disk is not been replaced.Due to this everyday atleast one of my family member has to stay at home hoping that the courier person will come and collect the hard disk. This has caused lot of trouble for me and my family it's like a house arrest for us.
            Still they are saying the same thing again and again which is the more frustrating part.
            Details of Hard disk is RMA(Request no.) = 83533389,
            Please help me to get justice , I am really very frustrated with Western digital company they don't care at all for the customers.
            Hoping my problem would get resolved soon.

And after repeated complaints via mail or phone didn't gave result we also sended mail to there senior [protected]@microland.com on this they are also not ready to solve this matter.

                I bought a new 1 TB Western Digital hard disc in august 2011. Unfortunately it had an issue & stopped responding just after 3 monthes from date of purchase. i got sai computers address from just dial when i called theem to provide me shops detail who deals withe data recovery. i went to sai computers whose address is -

                I gave my hard drive to him to get my data recovered as i needed it before i send it for replacement. i spoke to WD cust. services dept. & theey informed me to send my hard drive so that they can replace it. i cant send it as it was with SAI ,owner of the sai computers. He informed me to collect my hard drive as data was recovered. But due to some critical situations i was not able to collect it as i need to go to my native Assam on my granny funeral & was stuck there for couple of monthes.I was constantly making calls to SAI for my hard drive as i didn't wanted to loose it.

                When i came back to Bangalore , i went to his shop to collect the data and my hard drive. He refused to recognise me first but once i reminded him about myself and calls which i made from my native, he recognised me. he asked me to come after almost 25 days as he needed time to search it. I agreed & went home.
                After reaching home i sat on Internet to get information about my WD hard drive warranty and replacement, it showed status as replacement warranty 0 (zero). I was completely taken aback to see that. I straight away made a call to WD call centre. I spoke to advisor & adding to my surprise i was informed that i have already replaced my hard drive. I was on fire & spoke to the floor supervisor GOVIND, who informed me that

                # WD has received a mail form SAI KRISHNA, owner of SAI COMPUTERS for replacement of my HD on 21 Feb 2011
                # 27 Feb 2011, WD received my HD from SAI KRISHNA via ALF Courier.
                # 5the March ,WD sent my 1TB HD to SAI KRISHNA.

                Information passed to me was breath taking & i was not able to bear it. i made call to sai to get the update but he said he need time to search it. After a week i went straight away to his shop but he said he has misplaced it & cant find it. I asked him what can be done about it, he refused to give me my HD as its lost. I gave him some time to think over it but he simply refused to do anything about it. I took all the printout from the Internet about the mails & communication between Sai & WD cust. service dept. The detail information about the dispatch of HD is below:

                He was so shame less that he agreed that he has replaced my 1 TB HD but now he will not return it back as it was left with him for quite some time & now he own it. When i said i will make a police complain he himself wrote a formal letter to them stating that he has given me my data & hard drive as well. He also said am making nuisance at his shop. I have never encountered such a bullish & shameless guy ever. I wanted to highlight this matter as he is a localite & well aware that i have come from Assam ,hence took full advantage of me. I would like to share my experience which is full of grief & disappointment. Hope you will have some spare time out of your busy schedule to read my mind numbing experience. Please advice me how get justice on this forgery and take strict action against such people who are be fooling customers & betraying them by giving false hopes. They should be taught lesson so that they can never cheat any new cust. hereafter.

                      Hi Sir/Mam,

                      After much of a thought, I bought an External Hard Disk Drive of Capacity 1TB from Computer Empire, Nehru Place, Delhi of brand Western Digital.

                      The Hard Disk Details are as follows:

                      S/N: WX71A60F9128T
                      Type: WD My Passport Essential
                      Capacity: 500 GB
                      Model No: WDBAAA5000ABK-EESN
                      Courier Pick Up Date Was : 31/12/2011
                      Warranty: 3 Years Replacement Warranty

                      Since many days I have been facing a problem of accessing the hard drive which is currently containing many important documents and data.

                      For this reason, I tried contacting the WD help Center but the person attending my Call just ignored the fact that I am facing so much problem.

                      I called them many times explaining my problem but nothing happened.

                      As an alternative, I asked them to replace my Hard Drive (for which I am eligible), They asked me to send the hard drive to them. I told them that it is not possible as nobody can trust the courier company and I cannot send the Hard Drive for which I spent thousands of rupees by courier as I wouldn't have any proof of whether or not it will receive to the location specified.

                      They just kept on saying that you have to send it like that only and it is just a matter of luck that it will reach there. Its as if they don't care about there customers spending thousands of bucks in these items.

                      I was shocked to see such a behavior from employees of a company, which I thought of was a good one.

                      Then I asked them about the data my hard drive contains and they just said, "We don't give about your data" This line being quoted by Mr. Abhishek (13:36 on[protected].

                      I can quote many other rude behavior from the employees but it doesn't set the foot on right side for the company.

                      It was like, I did a great deal of mistake taking hard drive of such a company which is full of employees that don't care about there customers problems.

                      Other companies dealing in same items are seagate, iomega etc. These companies also provide an option of device replacement where the company sends in a new Hard Drive to the Customer facing difficulty and then after receiving the drive, the customer sends in the defaulty drive.

                      At the end it felt that it was my fault going for Western Digital when companies like Seagate and others are prevailing in the market for decades.

                      In this kind of regard, I decided to not use products of this company no more and let others also know that it is best not to buy products from Western Digital.

                      I hereby will gonna lodge a formal complaint against the Western Digital and its employees.

                      The company sent the repalcement Hard Drive on 9th January '2009 thru DTDC Docket No. Z84114315, which was lost in transit as reported.

                      Till Today I have not recieved my product.

                      I have been contacting them through phone and emails so many times but no positive response. Since it had been a long time (almost 4 months), I requested them to please kindly send the product immediately.

                      The matter is unbearable now and Iam loosing my patience.

                      The company's support centre (Warranty & Replacement) is the worst ever seen.

                      I have been continuosly following up with company via telephony but most of the time either their toll free numbers are busy or when they attend my call then they always reply me that my problem will we solve out within a week but no action will be taken by Western Digital.

                      I launched my complain on[protected] and the RMA No :[protected].
                      On 18 may again i call to WD this time they inform me that i have to go to bhopal nagar for replacement. And i asked him about the "Onsite Warranty" procedure then they don't tell anything to me. If i have to do these types of efforts then why should WD claim that it's provide "Onsite Warranty" to their customer.

                      In future i never ever purchase any product of WD and never guide to my client or anyone to purchase WD Products.

                      Western Digital are big cheaters. Dont ever buy their HDDs. I had sent my drive on 6th April but yet to receive the replacement. Called on support no. dozen of times and sent number of email and they are doing fake commitments. Will sue them soon.

                      WDC External Hard Drive — Replacement Problem

                      My WDC extenal hard drive (Elements SE) crashed on around 20 MAY, 2011... I filed a complain to WDC claiming for the replacement drive... They created RMA and offered me a date to pick it up on 27th MAY ... I was in Patna at from 29th April to 18th July 2011... So I filled my address of Patna.... Now they picked the defected drive in mid june and haven't sent it back as on 20 july... I have called and mailed them several times but with no results... Now I am asking them to send the replacement drive to my present address , they are not even complying to this... and not even giving me a date as to when my drive will be returned... This way they also wasted more than two months of my warranty period on the product.... The RMA number for my complaint is #82725531. So please help me out... When today I called them they say that I have been clling after a very long time but I have been communicating with them for the whole time without receiving a date for the delivery of my replacement drive...

                          I bought one western digital harddish from 2 year ago with 3 year warranty. Now, i harddish is creating problem and when i tried to launch the complain for repair of harddish to Western Digital Service centre. They denied and said that my product serial number does not exist in their database and hance they won't replace the harddish.

                          I have the original bill of the same product and i bought that product from a authorised dealer.

                          i had a similar issue i sent the copy of my bill to [protected]@microland.com and they updated the warranty for me.

                              Western Digital — Replacement product not given back

                              I had bought a Western digital 1 TB hard drive which stopped working all of a sudden. I knew that I had a 3 year warranty on the product and using the replacement procedure followed by western digital sent the drive through the agency RT outsourcing that was sent by Western digital themselves. The drive left my hands on 24th june 2010. I've called them at least 50 times after that just to hear them show me empathy and promising me that the drive would reach my hands the following week. I'm now horribly frustrated since I dont have the Rs.6000/- worth drive when I need it the most. I want the drive back as soon as possible.
                              I completely agree with u.WD people are so careless.Even my hard drive is with them from last 1.5 month.I m tried of recalling it, now i m going to sue a case against them.
                              i m really facing problem without my hard disk.its going to be 5 months now.its such a reputed company and i never expected this from them.

                                After much of a thought, I bought an External Hard Disk Drive of Capacity 1TB from Vardhaman Computer and Communication Wazir Pur Community Center Delhi of brand Western Digital.

                                The Hard Disk Details are as follows:

                                Capacity: 1TB
                                Date on which it is bought: 20/11/2009
                                Model No: WDBAAF0010HBK-SESN
                                Warranty: 3 Years Replacement Warranty

                                Since many days I have been facing a problem of accessing the hard drive which is currently containing many important documents and data.

                                For this reason, I tried contacting the WD help Center but the person attending my Call just ignored the fact that I am facing so much problem.

                                I called them many times explaining my problem but nothing happened.

                                As an alternative, I asked them to replace my Hard Drive (for which I am eligible), They asked me to send the hard drive to them. I told them that it is not possible as nobody can trust the courier company and I cannot send the Hard Drive for which I spent thousands of rupees by courier as I wouldn't have any proof of whether or not it will receive to the location specified.

                                They just kept on saying that you have to send it like that only and it is just a matter of luck that it will reach there. Its as if they don't care about there customers spending thousands of bucks in these items.

                                I was shocked to see such a behavior from employees of a company, which I thought of was a good one.

                                Then I asked them about the data my hard drive contains and they just said, "We don't give about your data" This line being quoted by Mr. Manjunath (16:36 on[protected].

                                I can quote many other rude behavior from the employees but it doesn't set the foot on right side for the company.

                                It was like, I did a great deal of mistake taking hard drive of such a company which is full of employees that don't care about there customers problems.

                                Other companies dealing in same items are seagate, iomega etc. These companies also provide an option of device replacement where the company sends in a new Hard Drive to the Customer facing difficulty and then after receiving the drive, the customer sends in the defaulty drive.

                                At the end it felt that it was my fault going for Western Digital when companies like Seagate and others are prevailing in the market for decades.

                                In this kind of regard, I decided to not use products of this company no more and let others also know that it is best not to buy products from Western Digital.

                                I hereby lodge a formal complaint against the Western Digital and its employees.

                                    I purchased a 500GB External USB Hard Disk Drive in June 2009. It carried a Warranty of 3 years.

                                    The Drive failed in September 2010. I raised an RMA as part of the process to get the drive replaced.
                                    Since then I have been waiting for them to send me a replacement drive. Have had created two RMA request myself for the replacement as there is expiry date to each RMA requests, Western Ditital created one more RMA from their Side, They have also sent a courier and collected the defective drive from residence. Assured several times that they will be sending my relacement drive soon.

                                    But I just keep waiting... I was wondering if Western Digital can be forced to honour their Warranty Committment through this forum..
