    When i connect my hard disk to the pc its not getting recognized in windows. I have tried formatting using disk management and tried to assign a drive letter. But still its not getting recognized. I am sure that the cable of drive is good as i have recovered all the data using ease us data recovery. I have tried all the trouble shooting mentioned on the website but the issue hasn't been solved. I want to repair this disk as it is out of warranty. I am not able to find any service center in india to get my hard disk get repair. Please help to locate any service center near my area.

      Replacement of my hdd.

      But they refuse to replace it even it is in warranty nd the reason behind this is tht they says they are unable to trace bar code. Because it is faded.

      After contacting helpline again supervisor says send it to banglore by couriour.

      This is wrong they r ready to receive it by courior but not directly. I travelledaround 200km leaving my shop closed so tht i personally delivered to their authrised servicecenter now these peoples starting harrassing me.
      This is internal harddisk their sticker are of bad quality. Harddisk is sealed and not a single scratch is on stickers also main sticker is fully readable.

      Faded sticker is not my fault why you made it in so low quality even i dont check when i purchase it and even it is so small to b noticed.

      Main sticker is ok serial no. Bar code everthing is there seals are proper then why u not giving my replacement??

      I brought a WD passprot hard disk on 07/12/2017 and is not working now.. I am unable to access some of the files in it. It shows Crc error while opening the files. Please give me a resolution for it.

        I have bought a western digital harddisk and using at my home for last two years and suddenly one day it stopped working and i called customer care they said u can do the recovery urself and send us we can replace but as the recovery was not feasible with depression went to a center of wd in coiabmatore where they handle this issue they said that it is physically damaged and they can't. Take the harddisk and i have to ship it to bangalore without any way i shipped to bangalore now they are saying that inside harddisk there is some sticker peeled or so and it doesn't cover inside the warranty they talked as if i had purposely made it bad.in home i don't even take it out of cover and haven't even seen inside don't know whether the sticker was like peeled when i brought itself and no scratchers even. I want some justice in the issue this is not expected from a company like western digital

        2tb hard disc model WD20PURX is not functional.It is used for CCTV NVR. While switching ON, display is showing HD not detected.

          My wd 2tb Element usb hard disk detect issue.
          incident. before 15 days i connect my usb hard disk for backup data.
          but my hard disk is not detect that time i thought some problem in desktop
          but i will check on other system but hard disk is not detecting.
          i am trying to format hard disk from disk-management but system gives hardware error .

            Good morning. My son purchased the above and it has corrupted his pc system. Pc currys confirm it is a copy and that we should seek compensation. Amazon have offered a £5 promo amount which certainly is no where near what we paid for the system. I have also contacted their supplier and await a reply.               We were having a problem with a nas drive ex4, and the support team gave us a lot of run a round in fixing. First said it was the computer,, then a program and on and on.

              We purchased a new pr4100 in the mean time! After abut a month of running we head buzzing from the nas box, searching online saw a lot of people and reviews complaining about noisy fan... Sure enough we see the fan slow down and on occasion stop. We observed that when the fan was noisy it would slow down, vibrating even more.

              When i tilted the pr4100 you could see the fan blade move and then speedup. Called and explained problem to support and was told we needed to rma device. This where the warranty was thrown out... The drive showed as not expiring until 2020.

              Called support and we talked about 15 min, the tech said cannot send you a fan, you need to return the whole box. No problem? Well big problem he could not create an rma,, said he would escalate and i would hear back in 24 to 48 hours... That was over a month ago.

              4 more calls and each time i am told "pleas wait 24 to 48 hours and we will contact you" 4 or 5 more calls and each time same story. Today talked to supervisor and was told it was escalated to higher level, and she would call me back in 1 hour 7 hours later i am typing here! I asked what was the reason for not issuing an rma and was told do not know! Over a month and no resolve, no reason, no concern.

              I asked to talk to the department and or manager as to what and when they would fix nas pr4100... What a stupid run around.. If i try to create rma it says not authorized!!! So what good is a product warranty if the company does not want to honor it??

              And why no reason for not wanting to do so??? Unit overheats when fan stops and i worry about fire? Or loosing whole unit...in the past i always had faith in this company, but now i have to ask myself if it is worth staying with the company of western digital...

              Warranty is worthless! And the company is only as good as their support... To this date i now have to say western digital does not honor what they build!!! The last unit i sent to wd got lost for a week or more, (Many months ago) when found they said missing a drive, three days later said they had the device but was missing all drives???

              We showed where we sent it all back! And in fact had photos of drives in unit and sworn affidavidts from two employees who boxed and shipped unit. Wd corporate did send a replacement for it, finally! But now say no warranty..

              (It had over a year left on warranty) now you have the rest of the story, you decide is the company having problems? Is it worth the fight you might have?

              No clue as to why they say no warranty on replacement.. But issue now is why they wont honor warranty!!!

                I have purchased a 2 tetra byte hard drive 2 months back and am using it for my cctv’s back up.in the starting days the hard drive was able to store 29 days back up but from last few days data cannot be stored for more than 9 days.                 HI, I bought a Western Digital Blue PC Hard Drive 1TB MDL:(WD10EZEX)S/N: WCC6Y5CJ6JSZ . But i am sad to say that the drive is not working properly at the starting date of bought.Please guide me in the process of replacement.

                  I reached the OTC center aryans communication Lucknow they said they will not accept the hard disk bcoz back side sticker is scratched but the serial number is showing there. I am using it in windows seven but some days ago i tried to connect it with windows 8 and 10 the hd wasnt responding. I am using it from last 2 years. If i am using it from last 2 years than how can its possible to didnt get scratch on barcode. I[censored] guys are very sensible abt bar code than why u guys make it scratch less. I need my passport hard disk replace and also its detect very slow and asking for format. I format it more than 3 times. Its faulty Legendry product of WD.

                    Actually i bought an internal hard disk from snapdeal (Western digital 5000lpcx) on 19 december and the hard drive doesnt work well sometimes it doesnt show and doesnt install os on it

                        I purchased the hard disk of you company 6th months ago.                           Its being approximately 2 weeks now that i have submitted the hard drive to nehru place center, india.
                          But there was no response and i tried to contact the customer c are but was very unsatisfied with the response.
                          Poor customer care skills and service.

                          Because they do not even know the reason why there is a delay and what sort o[censored]rgency that the another person has.
                          Its affecting my work because i already delay my official trip.

                          Hope i will get my hard drive withing in 1-2 days from now

                            I purchase a hard disk on jan 2017, on october suddenly it stopped responding. I raised an request for replacement, after 15 days i got the hard disk. When i tried to use the same in my laptop, my laptop was not able to detect the hard disk. I called again to the toll free number. Agent told me that the hard disk which i got is the same one which i sent except the defective part. What they did, they changed the defective part, this kind of cheating wd is doing with customers.in the name of replacement they are just repairing the hard disk. Will definately esclate this issue.

                              I am a very old and faithful customer of western digital india.
                              This time i am using approx 50 hard drives of western digital purple and green in my digital labs.
                              One of my friend created an rma for his 2tb hard drive which was physically broken and your company
                              Sent to him absolutely brand new hard drive.
                              And when i sent my hard drives which are in good condition then your western digital india saying to me.
                              That they will not provide me hard drives. Against my rma. As they are manipulated.

                              Your indian western digital is trying to fraud with me.
                              I had subbmitted my hard drives perfectly in fine condition on your drop point center patna.
                              I am innocent and i want my hard drives against my rma #87210888 and my rma #87231720
                              I had submitted total 8 hard drives of 2tb purple 4+4. 4 hard drive in each rma
                              And one thing that you will loose your old and faithful customer.
                              My drives are not manipulated.
                              I want the drives.
                              Till date i never buy a single drive of another brand except western digital.
                              If you will not provide me hard drives against my rma. I will go to the consumer court.
                              And will never buy a single hard drive of western digital.
                              I have a very good faith on western digital but now i will assume that company cheat people and doing fraud things.

                              I did some serches on google about the issue and seen that there are alot of people who are facing the same issue .
                              people are saying that they sent the drives to the company as in mint condition and in good packaging condition.
                              but the WD Company says they will not provide the hard drives as the drives are manipulated.

                              some people says that the company takes the old hard drive.
                              And says to customer that we will not provide you a hard drive.
                              As this is against our policy and we will take the old hard drive as a proof.
                              but after some few days when customers forget their old hard drives.
                              the company sells the same hard drive as in refurbished market in lower prices.
                              My WESTERN DIGITAL (WD) hard drive does not work and WD is giving me the run around. no matter where i search i see the same kind of complaints ways they will not cover the products even when they should be covered under warranty. i send information they want and it is not good enough call back always get someone in India seems like reading a chart. they will not hang up until you do but will not give you much more then lip service with alot of wait 24-48 hours and you find yourself starting over to wait 24-48 hours again. here is one person who has similar problems i do with WD. it seems as if they mastered blowing off the customer and keeping their work for way to many years from my search finding the customer service seems to never been fixed by WD. so sad i will avoid buying products with their product in it.

                                My wb 1tb is not working so i had created a rma case and wd pick up the product from my house.

                                After 2 days this case is showing they have dispatched alternate hard disk sent to my address. But i still didn't received the product. Wd send the product through bluedart, but i didn't received any delivery call from bluedart.

                                And i called bluedart many times, they tell tomorrow will deliver but it didn't happen still.

                                Also i called wd support many times they keep on giving same instruction, "we have escalated this issue you will be getting the product after 2 working days".

                                I dont know how long have to wait, i am really scared to call wd customer care then they will extend the days.

                                Another bad part of wd is they wont help to get old data, so you will be losing old data. If you ask this customer service, they instructed its customer responsibility to have backup.

                                First of all wd customer care should understand, we are buying external hard disk to have back of our primary data from laptop or some other primary source. Funniest part is they looking to buy one more hard disk to take backup of current hard disk.

                                  I purchased a western digital 1tb latop hard drive from nehru place, delhi, last year... When after some times it was not working properly and i contacted to wd customer care... They told me send it to there office... So there courier person took the hard drive from my home. After a week i contacted to there customer care again and they said my internal hard drive is not in its original condition.. Some parts are not wd's in it... So we can't provide you another hard drive to you.. And even they won't send my hard drive to me either.

                                  I just want say they cheated... Cause i send it by my self to them... Even i did install it my self in m laptop... So how could it possible.

                                    I purchased a wd internal 1tb hard disk 6 months ago.
                                    And now it isnt workin... Its not even showing up in the bios
                                    I want its still in warranty so all is to get it repaired and want my all data back because it is very important.

                                    I purchased this hard disk from amazon, i had 2 years warranty while purchasing the product. I check all the minor possible issues such as sata cable or power cable but they work fine with my other hard disk.

                                    Please let me know is it possible to get all my data back with a repaired hard disk?

                                        Hello sir / ma'am,
                                        I purchased external hd from western digital before approx 11month i transfer my data (Auto cad software 2015 original copy, 3dmax software, google sketch p software, my portfolio as i am interior designer. My client information
                                        My personal data of photos, music, movies,
                                        It fail i contacted western digital to help me recover data from there sub standard sub quality hd.
                                        On getting the permission i tried from 3rd party to recover the my data in the mean time i have tried to get help from western digital at the end the came they collected hd and told me that they will recover data and send it to me.
                                        But i think they have also fail to recover data and since 23rd sep. 2016 i have heard or got any communication from western digital
                                        Know my business is suffering i can not work on my portfolio or my designs or get new business that is a loss to me
                                        That is my lively-hood
                                        Know i am inserted my data and western digital - hd
                                        Please help me in this regard in at early date and if requred i can sub-meat copy of emails hope to hear from you.
