Wockhardt Hospitals — Service I got From Wockhardt Hospital Mira Road

Hi my name is Sukendu Kumar, working at State Bank Of India. I am staying at Mira Road with my mother, Ranjita Panda. She was unable to smell anything and felt etching in both ear and nose Every single day.

In light of the above we consulted an ENT Specialist, Dr. Chandraveer Singh at Wockhardt Hospital, Mira Road and he said my mother had Nasal Polypsis and surgery would be the last option to get rid of it completely. Dr. Chandraveer Singh said to us that she would be completely cured from it after surgery, I have a plethora of experience, many such patients have cured so far and blah blah blah. At that time we have asked for post surgery complications and all. And he said no complications would be there and she would be completely cured after 2-3 days itself. As we had planned to go to odisha right after surgery as my brother and sister-in-law would take care of her. We had discussed this thing with the Doctor. And he said no problem at all she could go after 2-3 days post surgery.

Wockhardt Hospital Mira Road did not have corporate tie up with SBI like the same hospital of Mumbai Central unit. I contacted Dr. Chandraveer Singh what to do, and he said no problem I also do surgery over there at Mumbai Central Wockhardt Hospital. They gave me an estimate of Rs. 2, 50, 000/- . Then we prepared for surgery and the same had taken place on 29/09/2022. At that time both my brother and sister-in-law were here to take care of and took her to odisha Post surgery. Then Dr. Chandraveer Singh said it would be good if my mother would be here in Mumbai for at least 10-15 days post surgery for the betterment of her. ( Do note that he earlier told us that she could go to odisha right after surgery in 2-3 days. We discussed this topic several times) . Then we couldn't avoid the Doctor's suggestions and for my mother's good, my brother extended his leave and was ready to stay here for another 15 Days. As my mother was facing some complications like Face swelling etc., I took my mother to Wockhardt Hospital Mira Road for consultation on 06/10/2022. There Doctor Chandraveer Singh said to do DNE as dirt was not cleaned properly yet. We did the DNE and after that again he said to us that my mother could go to Odisha within 2-3 days.

Then my mother went to Odisha on 14/10/2022. Do note that my mother never felt any smell even after surgery and this thing I have discussed with the Doctor. He just said it would take 1 Months, just continue with medication.

Now, in December 2022, 2 months post surgery my mother is facing the same problem like earlier ear and nose etching, unable to smell etc. I decided to call the Doctor to discuss these things on 17/12/2022, he was on leave and to my surprise he was blaming us now that she went to odisha but earlier. She should stay at least 1 month for consultation. I just left spellbound, before surgery the same Doctor said to us that she'll be completely ready to go after just 2-3 days of surgery. And now he is blaming us. We have incurred Rs. 1, 95, 000/- in surgery and around Rs. 30, 000/- on rest things.

Now, i have not a single bit of faith with this Hospital and with this Doctor with such a pathetic response after all. I mean how can he blame us ?

I need a proper response to this. And now i have no option left to visit any other ENT specialist for my mother.

Kindly take this matter on a priority basis.
