Woodland — Refund is denied


I have been using Woodland shoes from a very long time and like always purchased new pair of shoes from Woodland (online) on sale which was delivered on Monday, 14th August 23.
However, to my shock, it was not even a week and these sandals started tearing off and are breaking from the bottom(sole). It was unbelievable! Even a low-quality shoe won't tear off and break like this.
This is not expected from Woodland. I mailed the customer care with pics. While they accepted the quality issue, they are not ready to issue the refund for the same., instead they want me to visit the store and purchase a new item.
I had purchased the shoes on a sale. Now if they ask me to buy something else of the same amount, I dont think I will get any shoes for Rs. 1500/- and I dont want to spend any more money. Also you are making an already grieved customer run here and there for no fault of his.
And if I have purchased something online then my issue should also be resolved online. This is absolutely unfair, please help
